Jenny’s POV
“Are you done?” I looked up and found dad removing his chef attire.
“Uh…. yeah, it’s just a simple account dad. Nothing’s hard” I smiled.
Dad sighed “Bridge will take tonight’s shift. I am taking a break”
“Are you okay dad? I mean you never took a break so ..”
“I am fine” dad chuckled. “don’t worry. Bridge wanted to take tonight’s work and he almost pleaded so I couldn’t say no to him”
I laughed “he is really interested in cooking?”
“I guess so. He has been with me a year already. Almost like clinging” dad let out a laugh.
“It’s good then. You are old already. So you also need to take some rest for your health” I said closing the account book.
“Jenny”
“Yeah?”
“Are you happy?”
I frowned “what kind of question is that dad? ”
“I just…”
“Dad, is there something wrong? I mean you look troubled today. What happened?” I asked as I touched his shoulder.
He shook his head “no it’s nothing” he smiled at me “I couldn’t give you a good life. After your mom died we are stuck here in the pack kitchen. Besides since my mate is dead my wolf is weak and couldn’t transform anymore” he sighed. There was sadness flashing in his eyes “and you are born with weak health. Your wolf is not strong like others and because of that you couldn’t train yourself normally. I just feel that you are suffering here because of me”
My eyes moistened and I shook my head “dad what are you talking about? You are thinking unnecessary things. Please don’t think like that and burden your heart. I am happy. Besides, I love cooking and there’s no problem living like this. And about training then it’s hard. They are competing with each other like enemies and I don’t like it. I feel more secure to live here and try new recipes”
Dad looked at me with small smile “how lucky I am to have you as my daughter”
I laughed “because I am cute”
Dad chuckled and patted my head “you naughty girl always takes things in a fun way. When you are going to grow up”
“When it’s time, I will grow up. But now I just want to live as your little daughter” I squealed and hugged him.
“Silly girl” dad laughed.
After talking to him I walked inside the kitchen. It’s already evening so I wanted to grab some coffee for myself. I have a habit of drinking coffee in the morning and evening so when the sun sets my heart craves for it. I saw Bridge inside the kitchen.
“Hi Uncle” I smiled as I walked in.
“Hi Jenny”
“You are early here” I said as I grabbed a coffee mug.
“I thought of preparing the dinner menu. You want coffee?”
“Yeah, cravings you know”
He laughed “right. I saw an Italian dish in the fridge. Who brought it?”
I stopped pouring milk when I heard him. I turned my head to look at him “uh…. you tried?”
He nodded “it tastes good. I am amazed. I was wondering who ordered it”
I felt blush on my cheeks “um…. that I made it”
“Oh that’s right- what?” Bridge looked surprised “you did?”
“Yeah, I had free time so I saw it online and tried it” I replied shyly. I really didn’t expect him to try it.
“Good, good” he laughed “I never thought you are so good in cooking”
“It was a first trial uncle please don’t joke”
“I am not. It was really good. You should practice more you know”
I smiled “thanks for the application uncle”
“Okay, I have to prepare for dinner” he rubbed his hand and looked at the vegetables on the table.
“What’s the main menu?” I asked as I stirred my coffee with a spoon.
“I will go with beef”
“Oh, that’s great. I am leaving uncle” I said and walked out of the kitchen and sat in the dining area.
Now I can enjoy my drink slowly and peacefully. I thought and took a sip. It’s good. So favourable. I closed my eyes enjoying the feeling.
“Yeah that’s right, I will get it and then-”
My eyes shoot open at the voice. As expected the person stood holding the phone near his ear but his eyes stuck on me.
“Inform you” saying this he cut the call. He slowly walked forward.
“I was here to get some drinks but never thought you would be waiting for me,” he said as a smirk played on his lips.
I stood up and put the mug on the table “I am just drinking my coffee”
“Oh” he walked closer “so you didn’t miss me?”
“What are you doing?” I stepped back as he leaned more closer.
“You don’t know?” He asked as his eyes hardened.
I pushed myself back but stopped when my back collided with the tiled wall. I bit my lips as I cursed in my heart.
“I will see where you can run now” he came closer and put his hand on each side of me.
“Have you gone crazy? ” I hissed.
“Crazy?” He laughed “I went crazy the moment I saw you. Tell me who’s fault is it to keep me hanging in the middle?”
I bit my lips angrily as I threw a hard glare “go and fuck your girlfriends who will be glad to warm your bed instead of disturbing me here” I snapped.
He smirked “why? Jealous darling?”
I glared at him “don’t call me that”
“I can call you anything I want. What are you going to do about it?” He challenged.
“Ryan Wolf you are such a manwhore. You go fucking around with other woman as you please and now here you are flirting with me. You should have some shame on you for your act” I snapped and pushed him away. Glaring I walked past him but before I could step a few steps I felt my body being pulled back to a hard chest.
“You think I care about those women? They are a fucking gold diggers only trying to hook up for money. But it’s not completely my fault because you didn’t stop me. You just stood there watching me going with those women yet didn’t say anything why? Now you are angry because I slept with them? You are throwing all the faults on me now?”
I wiggled “let me go”
“No, today I am not going to stop. I have had enough of it” he growled.
“Shut up. What do you think you are doing?” I tried to free myself from his arm.
“Not so fast darling. There’s no way you are going to get away from me now. You are mine” he said before kissing my cheek.
“You bastard, how dare you kiss me with that filthy mouth of yours” I snapped angrily.
He chuckled “filthy? You like it darling. And for your good information I am totally clean if you fearing about that”
“Who wants to have anything with you?” I hissed.
“You will have everything with me baby. Of course your wolf is purring with delight yet you are trying to refuse huh”
I huffed “I am not interested in going through any argument with you. Let me go”
“No, I have been waiting for it already. And you are ignoring me for whole fucking 2 month. Now there’s no way I am letting you leave my arm” Ryan said as he tightened his hold.
“Go back to your sluts” I hissed again.
“Shh…. Curses do not suit your mouth baby. The only thing that’s suits your sweet mouth is my name” he said then pressed his lips on my ear “specially when you moan”
My eyes went wide with his shameless act, “you…. how dare you?”
“I dare everything. You are my fucking mate” he growled then picked me up in a bridal style.
“What are you doing?” I gasped and held his shoulder for support.
“I’m claiming my mate, what’s the problem in that?” He asked as he started to walk out of the dining area.
“Ryan, are you out of your mind? What will others say?”
He frowned “why the fuck would I care about others?”
I couldn’t think of any excuses as my heart started to beat faster “I don’t want to be ridiculed by others saying that I am a playboy’s mate”
He looked down then chuckled “don’t worry darling, before they could say that I will pluck their tongue and play with it”
My jaw dropped as I heard him. I know he is strong and too arrogant to handle. I also know about his playboy ways but in the end he is still my mate. I have been ignoring him since I got to know about it. I hated his playboy ways and because I refuse him he plays it in front of me to make me jealous. And to be honest I am. Ryan took me in his room and placed me on his bed.
He smiled charmingly “I have been dreaming about this night for such a long time” . He was about to kiss me but I stopped him.
“Wait, I don’t want to sleep on this bed”
He frowned “why?”
“I don’t want to share your bed which you shared with another woman,” I snapped.
He chuckled “I never brought any woman to this bed darling. It was all outside with a card of one night stand. And fuck none of them could not handle me nor ever able to satisfy me. Before coming to an end then run away not looking back”
I rolled my eyes “lier”
“It’s true” he pecked my lips “You are my mate and my wolf will only be happy with you. No one can satisfy the need of me and my wolf other than you” he joined his forehead with me.
“Ryan”
“Yes”
“It’s my first time,” I said shyly.
“I know and that’s makes me so proud”
“You can’t look at other woman after today”
He laughed “I can never get enough of you darling let alone looking at others”
“Shut it” I pushed him but he didn’t even move.
“I love you” he said before dropping his head and sealing my lips.
