Savannah’s POV
“I am fine mom” I chuckled “you have been asking the same question for the third time”. I shook my head in disbelief. My mother is always like this.
“I can’t help it” mom sounded from the other line. “You have been away and it felt like it has become ages”
“Mom” I bit my lips. I don’t know what to say. Leaving them was the hardest thing I ever faced. But this time I know it’s not about regret or pain but about being too emotional and losing control. The last time I left the pack was in anger but this time it was filled with so much emotion and memories that it burned my eyes and made it wet all over again.
“I am fine, I am fine” mom chuckled. “Your dad has been scolding me for being too emotional. Though he looked strong and calm from the surface, I know he is also missing you a lot. After all this time, it’s not like some vacation or other things”
“Tell dad that I am missing him too. It’s really hard to leave but I have no other choice”
“I know darling, you don’t have to worry. It’s just a matter of few days then we will eventually get adjusted with the situation”
“How’s everything going in there?” I wiped the corner of my eyes.
“It’s good. Though it’s a little sad moment but other than that everything is fine here. Is Hardwick treating you well?”
“Of course mom” I smiled thinking about my mate. “He did not let me complain about anything. You know mom, he even arranged a walk-in closet” I chuckled.
“He did?” Mom gasped “that’s good darling. I know he is a hard working guy and very understanding. He really do out you in the first priority”
“I guess so…” I blushed.
“Did I heard walk-in closet?” I heard Tanea’s voice in the background.
“Mom let me talk to Sav. I want to ask her about it” she insisted.
“What’s there to talk about this?” Mom scolded her “you girls are really crazy about clothing. No matter how much you have in hand it’s always not enough”
“Mom, you can’t accuse me like that,” Tanea replied.
“I am not putting myself here to argue with you. Fine take this” mom sighed then I heard some noises before finally Tanea’s voice fell on the other line.
“Yo~ how are you doing?”
“I am good”
“Did you just say Hardwick got you a new closet?”
“Um… yeah…”
“Oh my fucking goodness” Tanea screamed loudly.
“Stop it. Are you trying to make me deaf?” I scolded her.
“Come one, who could stay calm in such a situation. I mean your mate got you fucking walk in closet?”
“Why do I feel like you are finding it hard to believe?” I frowned, “wait let me give you some evidence” I said and immediately sent her some photos I clicked earlier.
“Oh my god” Tanea yelled “this is so pretty. I fell in love with it”
“What did you say?” Suddenly I heard my brother’s voice.
“With whom you fell in love?” He asked again.
Tanea let out a groan “do you always have you to butt in our conversation?”
“First answer me” Dev demanded.
I laughed loudly. Oh god, looks like Tanea is in trouble now.
“You got it to yourself” I chuckled.
“Forget about him” Tanea whispered but the next second I heard her squeal loudly. I pushed the phone away from my ear. Hell this woman really knows how to injure others ears with her scream. But thinking about the scenery there I couldn’t help but laugh.
“What are you laughing at?” I jumped when a voice fell in my ear.
“Do you always have to scare me like that?” I glared at him.
“What happened? You seemed to be too happy while talking on phone that you didn’t realized my arrival”
“I was talking to Tanea”
He raised his eyebrows.
“What?” I put on an innocent face.
“What were you two talking about that made you laugh like this?”
“Oh, that…. she got amazed by the walk-in closet you arranged”
“Is it that popular?” Hardwick frowned.
I laughed “kind of. Girls fancy clothing stuff more” just like Reese, she used to show off her dresses and talk about her closet. I wonder if she sees my new clothing collection, would she not die with anger? I really wonder if Avan is rich enough to arrange such a big closet.
“Oh, then shouldn’t you give some reward to the hard work darling?”
“What?” I looked at him frowning.
He smirked “reward for arranging such closet for you”
“Isn’t it Luina who did the hard work?” I smiled then got up from the couch “you are right I really should reward her” I was about to walk when suddenly I felt myself hanging in the air.
“Oh no darling, I was the one who ordered and paid for everything so the reward should only belong to me” he started to walk towards the bed.
“Hardwick, what are you doing in the broad daylight?” My eyes widened but my heart was racing erotically.
“Collecting my rewards darling”
