Savannah’s POV
“Morning….” I looked around. It was not the same room I stayed last time but it was a different one. I was all alone in bed while there’s not a sign of him. He left me alone in bed again.
“Where’s Hardwick?” I frowned.
“Master went away early. He left the message that he has some important work to handle and ordered me to wait in the room for you till you wake up”
“He did?” Suddenly a smile formed on my lips. He really knows how to coax a woman. Doing such things, my heart flattered instantly and all the disappointment I felt flew away through the window itself. How come I stop myself from falling for such a man?
“When will he be back?”
“That I don’t know my mistress. Master said he will accompany you later and in the meantime you should get ready” Luina replied.
I sighed. I almost forgot that he said I will be meeting his pack members. Though I am still nervous inside but since he will be there with me, I am glad about it. Besides, I really need to work on myself not to dwell on the past event again. The past was not the present. It’s different with a heaven and earth difference in between.
“Everything is different” I mumbled inwardly. Too different. Hardwick is not Avan, Dark Forest is not Bright Shine and I am also not the past myself. I have changed and along with me everything has changed too.
“Mistress” Luina’s voice pulled me out of the trance. She was looking at me frowning.
“Sorry, I was thinking something else” I held my head and massaged my temple.
“Are you feeling fine? Should I call the pack doctor to check on you?”
“Huh? Oh… no… no .. I am fine” I rushed.
“Okay, would you like to take a bath?”
“Yeah please” I nodded. It will help me release my tension and relax my body.
“I will get the water ready” she said before walking towards the side door.
I sighed as I saw her disappear inside. It has been two years but still those memories are hunting me around. Even though I have told myself for thousands of times it was just a past and I need to move on but whenever something happens the past would rush to me to hunt me down and pull me back to those nightmare days. I couldn’t possibly think clearly if I keep going through the past. I need to live in the present with what I have, not with memories of what I had. Luina called me again saying the water is ready. I sighed and got up from bed. I am glad he didn’t remove my dress or I would be really embarrassed in front of Luina. Slowly I walked towards the door where Luina went in.
A gasp escaped from my lips when I saw the bathroom. The white tiled wall and floor looks bright. I felt like I had just entered inside clouds. All the while from ceiling to floor. There was a sink system with a circled mirror at the side. Beside it there was a wall cabinet where the sets of towels were arranged beautifully. In the middle it was partitioned by a glass sliding door. On the left there was white curtain hanging. The curtain pushed back and the door slid to the side before Luina’s face peeked out from inside.
“Mistress, water is ready. Do you need me to help you in bathing?”
“Uh, no thanks for asking but I can do it myself. I want to bath alone”
She nodded “then I will go and arrange your clothing”
“Yes, please thank you” I smiled.
She nodded before heading out. She was treating me like some royalty. I sighed, I really wonder how Hardwick trains these people. So mannered in everything. Shaking my head I walk towards the door. I pushed the curtain and saw a huge ceramic jacuzzi bathtub where 4 people can bath together comfortably. The tub was filled with bubbles. I grinned and removed my clothes before getting inside. My body immediately relaxed when the warm water touched my body. It felt so good that I almost didn’t want to go out. I took my time bathing. Shampooing my hair and scrubbing my body slowly. I don’t know how much time has passed but I walked out once I was fully satisfied with the bath. When I got out of the tub, I saw a white silk robe hanging on the cloth stand near the cabinet. Maybe Luina arranged it. I wore it and walked out of the bathroom.
“Mistress you are done?” Luina smiled “I have arranged your clothing. Would you like to choose what you want to wear today?”
“Um… where’s the cloth I brought?” I asked.
“I have placed it in your wardrobe”
I nodded “okay, where is the wardrobe?”
“It’s there” she pointed towards the door near the other side of the bed.
“There?” I frowned.
“Let me show you, ” Luina nodded and led me towards the door. Once the door opened my jaw immediately touched the floor. Is it for real? I couldn’t just believe it. How could they call it wardrobe when it’s a fucking huge walk-in closet? Are they kidding me? It’s like I have entered another completely different world. It was filled with different designer clothes with accessories and types of shoes. All these are so expensive.
“This…?” I gasped.
Luina turned and smiled “this is your closet mistress. Before you arrived, the Master had ordered this maid to arrange your daily needs. What you need are all stored in here”
“These all are for me?” I asked her, totally surprised.
She nodded “yes, master wanted you to feel comfortable and have no tension about anything. I have just accomplished what master ordered for”
I covered my mouth with my palm. I still couldn’t believe it. Hardwick had done so many things that I could never dream for. I still remember, back in the ex pack, Avan and I had a date. When we were roaming outside, I saw an earring with a purple gem on it. I liked it so much that I nearly begged Avan to buy it but he refused saying it was cheap and won’t look good on me. He bought a pink dress for me instead. I felt disappointed but did not say anything to him thinking he might not like it. But I never imagined to see the same earring on Reese after a week. When I asked her about it she said she bought it herself. But now thinking about that event, it was Avan who bought it for her and he refused me at first because he was determined to give it to Reese. I was such a fool to believe in him. And now seeing those expensive collections I could not help but feel myself too lucky. It’s not about the clothes or other things, but it’s because Hardwick took such efforts for me just to make me happy.
“What do you want to wear, mistress?” Luina asked.
“I want to go for some simple dress. Help me choose it”
She nodded then searched on the clothing racks. After a few minutes she pulled out a cream colored long dress. It was off shoulder but had small flower patterns on the silk. It was simple but looked beautiful. The silk material was the finest one.
“How about this Mistress?” She showed me the dress.
“It’s good, thank you” I nodded.
I was even more surprised when there’s also a huge collection of lingeries. Luina really put efforts on these, she even filled the cabinet with monthly needed stuff. I really wonder how much it would have cost to prepare all these?
Once I was done getting ready I looked at myself in the mirror. Luina styled my hair on one side and used a small pearl hairpin to bind it together. The style totally matched my dress, making me satisfied with the result.
“It’s really a good fit,” I mumbled. “How did you know about my size?” I frowned.
“Master told me”
I turned to look at her in surprise. Hardwick did? But how come he got to know about my size? This dress and the lingerie are perfectly fitting for me. How come in such a short time he measured it in order to arrange all of these? This thought shocked me.
“You look so beautiful, mistress,” Luina smiled brightly.
“Thank you” I smiled then headed out of the closet. Just as I opened the door I saw Hardwick turn around and look at me. He smirked when he saw me.
“As expected, you look truly ravishing love”
I blushed but asked with a stern voice “you left me alone again?”
He chuckled “sorry for that but I had too. Before you met the pack, I needed to do some preparations”
I sighed and walked towards him “is everything done?”
He smiled “don’t worry, they are all waiting for you”
I took a deep breath. It’s time now.
“You don’t have to be nervous. I am here with you” he assured.
I nodded.
He extended his hand “ready?”
I placed my hand on his then smiled “yes”
