Savannah’s POV
I took a deep breath. Finally coming back to the pack is blissful. So many things happened in these few days that I couldn’t even imagine. I never thought I would get a second chance to find a mate. I thought Avan was the last one but no I was totally wrong. If he was the last then I would never find Hardwick.
“What happened? You looked tense?” Tanea stood beside me watching the view “the garden always looks beautiful no matter how many times I look at it”
“Hmm…” I replied.
“Sav what happened? Are you fine?”
“Yeah” I nodded “it’s not about me. It’s about Hardwick”
“Hardwick? What about him?” She looked confused.
I sighed “I still can’t understand this second mate thing. I mean I never heard of it before. A werewolf having two destined mates?” I frowned at last.
“This is confusing,” Tanea shrugged, “but it’s not false either. Werewolf has a strong sense and there will be no mistakes in finding their mate. It never goes wrong. Since Alpha Hardwick has already said that you are his mate then it can’t be a lie. A man like Hardwick, he doesn’t seem to be a kind who jokes. And you have already rejected the first bond too”
I nodded “maybe…” I shrugged.
“How do you find him?” Her sudden question made me startled.
“What?”
“How do you find him? I mean compared to your ex?” Tanea asked again.
I turned my gaze towards the blooming flowers in the garden. Isn’t it different? Far, far different from the first mate bonding. Hardwick makes me feel things I have never experienced before. He made me feel hot, blush and moreover feel warm. His touch made me crave for more while Avan failed to do such a thing. He never cared how I felt, all he thought was him and he alone. Thinking about this I sighed deeply.
“It’s like heaven and hell. Avan was a bastard who could only think of himself but Hardwick he made me feel something that I don’t know how to describe”
“Cool. Mate should make you feel loved and cared. That’s why Moon Goddess matches everything perfectly. Now thinking about your position I think Avan was never your destined mate in the first place. And your are more fated with Hardwick”
I looked at Tanea. She was always that sweet cheerful girl who could help anyone in need. She never neglects and always proposes to help others no matter what. And sometimes Devak becomes mad because of this. But she will always be my sweetheart one.
“You think so?” I asked as I felt my cheeks getting hot with blush.
She grinned “aww… look at that blush. This is the first time I am saw you blushing like a red tomato for a man”
“Shut up” I slapped her arm playfully.
“What man?” Devak suddenly appeared before us out of nowhere.
Tanea and I were startled.
“What the hell? Why do you always appear like that? Do you want us to die prematurely?” Tanea yelled. I shook my head.
Devak frowned “what are you two talking about?”
“We are talking about Alpha Hardwick,” Tanea replied, still glaring at him.
Devak narrowed his eyes “why are you two talking about him?”
“Because he is Sav’s mate,” Tanea said again.
“He already left,” Devak replied in an annoyed tone.
I rolled my eyes “he will return back. Mom invited him for dinner”
“Fuck” Devak cursed.
“Why are you against him so much?” I asked him “even mom like him so much”
“He kidnapped you,” he replied simply.
“Are you going to hold grudges because of that?” I felt an ache in my head and massaged my forehead.
“I can’t forget that. Because of him you were out of our sight and we went crazy to find you or to know about your whereabouts. Do you know what I felt when I heard you are gone suddenly?” He looked at me with a pained expression. Even Tanea looked at him with soft eyes.
It was my fault that I left without telling him. He is always concerned about me and always being possessive. But I never got annoyed with his behaviour because I know he loves me just like I do. I got up from the bench and hugged him.
“I am sorry Dev, I knew it was my fault for getting so excited about leading the team but I never thought something like that would happen. If I knew, I would not have taken such a step and made you so worried. I am sorry, please forgive me” I mumbled against his chest. His arms circled around me and hugged me tightly. After sometime I felt him sigh.
“You are my sister Sav and I love you. Just thinking about getting hurt makes my heart bleed. You are too precious. I have lost you for so many years and I couldn’t afford to lose you again” his words brought tears in my eyes. My vision got blurry and I felt my cheeks getting wet.
“I love you too Dev” I replied.
After sometime we pulled away “you are such a cry baby” he wiped the tears from his cheek.
I chuckled and shook my head.
“Oh, so sweet. I felt like crying” Tanea said with a sweet smile.” Now I am missing my brother. I think I should take a visit to him”
Just as Tanea stopped we heard a loud growl. And before I could understand, I saw Tanea being pressed with Devak. Their faces are so closed that…
“I dare you say that again darling” Devak hissed.
Tanea pressed her lips in a thin line refusing to let out any word. And I know why. Devak is too possessive and he couldn’t tolerate her being away from him. Besides the second reason is Tanea’s home pack is far from Snow Moon. It takes almost a day to get there. I really wonder how they managed to meet each other.
“What happened? You are not going to answer?” Devak’s low voice reached my ear again.
“I was just joking. Why are you taking it seriously?” Tanea frowned.
“I don’t like this kind of joke and you know it” Devak replied “now be ready for punishment” and then he leaned and kissed her. Tanea moaned lightly.
I turned around not wanting witness the scene “god, you two, go get a room and spare me from such scene”
But they were not listening to me as they were already busy kissing each other. I shook my head and decided to leave the place, giving them some privacy. It’s better to stay away from them if they are fighting or arguing because at the end they will end up kissing each other. I headed towards the pack mansion. I can take some rest and relax. Just as I opened my room door two arms sneaked around my waist and pulled me close to a hard chest. I almost screamed if the familiar scent didn’t hit my nostrils. My eyes widened in shock.
“You are here already?” I asked.
“Hmm…” He leaned and inhaled my scent.
“But how come you are so early?”
“You are not happy?”
“I didn’t meant that” I closed my eyes when I felt him kissing my neck “I thought you are going to come during dinner time”
“I don’t like being separated from you” his husky voice landed in my ear. God I don’t know when I started to fall for this tone. It’s so sexy and attractive. And sometimes I felt like hell seductive.
“Fuck, you smell so god” he turned me around abruptly before I could react.
That dominating brown eyes pierced me making me unable to move my gaze.
“I missed you so much. Being staying away from you is hell of a torture” he almost hissed. His brown eyes glittered with something I couldn’t fathom. And before I could reply anything I felt him being pressed to him as he claimed my lips in a dominating manner.
Hell, I am getting addicted to his dominant kisses.
