Savannah’s POV
“You don’t have to think about them. After what happened they won’t dare to bother us anymore” Tanea said, placing the newly made coffee on the table.
“I never expected they will be this extent of shameless being” I shook my head “back then when I used to live in there they never cared actually but I always encouraged myself that was nothing and they loves me from heart. It was already too late when I started to realise the truth”
Tanea patted the back of my hand “don’t think about those losers, if they don’t exist then how will smart people like us live?” She laughed out loud.
I could not help but chuckle. She is really something, always knows how to crack a joke at the right time and maybe that’s why my brother loves her so much. Not only she is his mate yet she is such a sweetheart that everyone loves. We couldn’t continue chatting as my brother’s voice suddenly called her name.
Tanea looked at his direction and smiled “looks like that Eagle will not rest without me”
I rolled my eyes “go before he comes here. I really don’t want to hear his lectures and ruin my peace”
Tanea laughed loudly before nodding “see you later” then she ran off.
I watched them hugging each other and being so lovey-dovey. My chest tightened with the sight and I shifted my gaze towards the open field where the pack members are training. I am currently sitting under the shade resting myself in the training field.
“Sister Annah” a sweet childish voice called my name. I turned to look at Ginia who was blinking at me.
“What happened to you?” I asked catching her arm lightly.
“Sister Annah, you are sitting alone here so I thought I should accompany you. And it won’t bore you anymore” she replied.
I raised my eyebrows then laughed at her act. She is so cute. I could not help but pinch her chubby cheeks. She yelped in surprise.
“Sister Annah don’t do that” she pouted.
“Why?” I chucked.
She leaned forward “because mommy said I am a big girl now”
I laughed again. What a kid she is! I was about to say when there was a sudden roar. My head snapped towards the field. Some of the pack members were looking towards the forest. I turned to Ginia who was also looking at the field. I patted her shoulder, attracting her attention towards me.
“Your training is done for today. Go home” I ordered. She looked at me then toward the field before nodding. She ran off towards the pack house.
I shifted my gaze from her back towards the field and ran there “what happened?” I asked.
“Miss, there was a sudden roar coming from the forest. Looks like some wild beasts are hanging around” one of them informed.
“If they are near the pack then they might attack us and it won’t be safe” another one said.
“We need to distract them but not hurt them in any way except if it was an emergency, understand?” I ordered.
“But young alpha has just left,” a man with curly black hair said.
I shook my head “for such a trivial matter, there’s no need for him to disturb. Gather some men, we will go into the forest”
“Miss, you can’t take the lead,” they shook their heads.
I frowned, “Why not? You think I am not capable enough to lead a team?”
“Of course not. Please don’t misunderstand us. It’s just Alpha and young Alpha will be displeased if you personally do this. Let us go and check this matter” they replied in unison.
I rolled my eyes. Seriously? I am not weak and I can fight with two wolves at the same time. But they are still refusing? I threw an annoying look.
“Who’s the leader here? You are defying my words? Besides, it’s not a major thing to fear. Just some wild beast. Now, stop wasting my time and finish our work” I shook my head and walked towards the forest.
Their faces are like, they are about to cry but still follow behind my lead. I chuckled at their expression before we entered the forest. The forest was deep and there were sun rays peeking through tree leaves.
“Which direction?” I asked, looking around.
“It sounds like it’s coming from the South,” one of them replied.
“We can’t spot it this way. We need to spread” I told them.
“But miss-”
“No arguments, we need to finish it fast so that we can go back early” I said in a harsh tone.
They didn’t say anything further but accepted my order. I walk towards the North, there are some flower plants besides those huge trees. Though I have memorised the map of this forest but still dad said there are some parts which are forbidden to enter. I don’t know why but dad said it was outside of our territory. Maybe that part belongs to some other pack. But the most important thing is that, I forgot to ask which part of the forest is forbidden. I shake my head. How could I be this idiot? Seriously? I forgot it.
I looked forward and the plants and trees started to become shallow. I frowned, I just walked for a few minutes. How come these places are shallow? I looked around the area. I can see the sun rays falling on ground lighting the whole area and its shimmering. It looks enchanting and then… my eyes fell on something and my eyes widened immediately.
It’s…. it’s….. Blue Tiger? Heavens, I have seen the picture in the library but never expected to see it personally. It’s so beautiful. It was resting under the shade of small flower plants but suddenly it’s eyes opened and looked at me directly.
So captivating…. My heart stopped for a moment. I wanted to take a closer look, and as I was about to step I felt a cold hand cover my mouth and another hand sneaked around my waist and without any efforts lifted my body up from the ground. I smelled a weird scent and my vision became blurry. The last thing I saw was the tiger stand up and started to walk towards me while wiggling its tail.
