Time is the cure for wounds.
At one time Vivian did not believe this statement at all, however, reality told her that it was true.
Edward sighed and rubbed her shoulders.
“It was my bad in the past, I will never negative you in the future.”
“I believe you.”
She gently pursed her lips and smiled softly, a shimmering light in her soft, watery eyes.
Her pure gaze, looking at his heart, lowered his head to kiss her.
Ah-choo-
Vivian suddenly sneezed, dispersing all the charm.
She blushed and rubbed her nose in embarrassment.
“You’re so dusty.”
The man’s face sank, glancing down at the black suit on his body, which had been stained with fine dust, crisscrossed with traces of gray and white.
“Dislike me? Let’s try you dip your toe in too.”
He stood up and slapped the dust from his body, bound to get it on hers as well.
Vivian exclaimed and ran quickly to the living room, laughing and joking as she grabbed a rag and got back to work.
The two men got the room clean and it was thoroughly dark.
There wasn’t any food in the house, and the two ended up ordering takeout to eat.
Late at night, Vivian had fallen into a deep sleep.
Edward took his cell phone and made a long phone call to no one in particular. After hanging up, he stood by his bed and gazed far into the distant sky at the white of a fish belly.

On the 28th day of the lunar month, the sky was gloomy and dark clouds were overwhelming, as if it was going to rain heavily.
The weather did not affect the atmosphere at all. There was a lot of joy all around, and everyone was preparing for the New Year.
Amidst the laughter, Vivian and Edward drove to a cemetery in the local suburbs.
The cemetery is especially cold nowadays.
Vivian and Edward both stood in front of Kenya’s grave, looking sad and solemn.
Gazing at the photo on the stone, Vivian’s eyes suddenly reddened and she knelt down to the stone.
“Mom, this is Edward, who you’ve met before and who I’m married to.”
Edward stood pensively and aside, his serious face with a few gloomy sadness, bowing to the tombstone.
He looked grave, staring at the photo on the tombstone for a while, thin lips gently open, open and close …
For a long time, not a word was said.
“I’m sorry~”
A thousand words, finally converge into three words.
Edward has mixed feelings in his heart, guilt, sadness and self-blame beyond words.
Once he hated this person to the core, and even tortured Vivian because of her, but now he realized that he hated the wrong person.
“Mom …”
Vivian called out, her voice choked and hoarse, faintly trembling.
She hung at the side of the hands restlessly grabbed the corner of the coat, standing in the cold wind cold shivering, “I know, I know you must be very aggrieved in your heart, but why you do not tell the truth? Why do you have to suffer the torture in silence alone?”
Edward looked sideways at the woman beside him, dressed in a black tweed coat, wrapped in an off-white scarf, wearing a knitted cap, wrapped tightly, but the strong cold wind still froze her cheeks red.
He took off his jacket and draped it over her body to protect her from the cold.
Because Vivian was not yet out of the month, she was supposed to sit at home according to the custom, but after all, it was the anniversary of Vivian’s mother’s death and she had to go out.
Edward naturally had to take care of things.
“Don’t be too sad, you have to take care of your health before you do.”
His eyes were full of worry, fearing that the freezing weather would damage her body.
Vivian shook her head.
“I’m fine, I want to talk to my mom alone for a while.”
She looked up at him with her charming eyes, making it impossible for him to refuse.
Gathered her coat around her body.
“Okay.”
Getting Vivian’s nod, he was relieved to walk outside under a poplar tree, just fifty meters away from Vivian and able to see her figure.
Pull out a cigarette, light it up, and exhale smoke with a red flash.
The phone suddenly remembered, an unfamiliar number, but Edward eagerly picked it up.
A stereotypical mechanical voice sounded.
“The person is found, the information is sent to your email.”
“Okay, got it.”
Edward’s message waited anxiously, and the minute was hard to get through.
A few seconds later, the email was received and he eagerly opened it and read it.
All the information inside the email, the details of that person’s looks and appearance were firmly memorized in his mind, and only then did he close the email.
He exhaled a long breath and the corners of his mouth lifted in a smile.
Years of doubt is finally going to be solved, his entire body is relaxed.
Even today’s such a bad day, in Edward’s eyes, it seems to carry a strong color that makes him joyful.
Glancing down at his watch, it was about time and he was ready to go up and call Vivian.
The afterglow glanced at a hunched over, wearing a military coat, but still very cold, while walking and shivering old man.
Carrying a small basket in his hand, which contains some joss sticks and paper money.
He swept past, not paying attention, thinking it was someone who had also come to pay their respects.
However, the other party’s footsteps suddenly stopped, looked away from Vivian, turned around and ran away.
This strange reaction instantly caught Edward’s attention, and he quickly went after him.
The other party is an older woman, naturally, is unable to run Edward, not long after he caught up with him.
“Who are you? Why are you running?”
He gripped the other man’s shoulder and asked in a stern voice.
“No … no, I didn’t run.”
The old woman raised her head trembling, shaking her head while denying it.
Edward’s pupils tightened and compared the photo he had just received in his mind with the person in front of him.
It fits perfectly, without any half-way abnormalities.
He sounded eager with a hint of coldness.
“You’re Kate?”
The old woman moved stiffly and looked at him in dismay, wondering how he, a young man, could know his name as an old man.
Just at this time, Vivian arrived.
“Kate? How do you …”
Seeing the basket in her hand, Vivian suddenly realized.
“You’re here to visit my mom, right? Thank you for remembering her.”
Kate looked sarcastic and hid the basket in her hand behind her back.
“What are you doing here?”
Vivian then realized that Kate was actually being escorted by Edward.
“I think this Kate, I think, has something to say to us, right?”
Edward’s eyebrows were stern and his gaze was like a knife, landing on Kate’s body and making her heart tremble.
“Alas, after so many years, I thought I would take this secret to my coffin, but I never thought I would escape.”
Kate looks up at Edward.
“You’re a child of the Henderson Family, right?”
Edward’s back was straight and he threw himself on the ground.
“I’m Edward, Lilah’s son.”
Kate’s cloudy eyes swept over his face and nodded.
“You do look a little bit like Madame.”
Vivian was confused, she didn’t expect that she would meet someone related to the Henderson Family when she came with Edward to pay respect to her mother.
And this person is still old friends with his own mother.
Kate politely declined Vivian’s invitation to talk to her at home, and stood in the draughty, cold environment of the cemetery and told the two men everything she knew about the past.
“In fact, when Kenya suddenly and unexpectedly died, I had a hunch that you guys should be the ones looking for her.”
Kate the words stopped in the ears of two people, said strange.
Edward’s heart panicked, subconsciously look at Vivian, to her gentle as the first smile, a little peace of mind.
“How did my mother die?”
He brought it back to the point, not allowing her to rampage any further.
Kate froze and slowly fell into memory.
“Madame took the medicine to kill herself; she said that death would be a relief for her.”
“No way.”
Edward didn’t believe it.
Lilah was so loving, gentle and quiet, full of love for life, plus she was pregnant, how could she commit suicide?
