Because, once you go to Obren, you may be lost from then on.
There may never be a return to Waverly!
Not seeing Waverly’s friends, not seeing the two kids, and even seeing less and less of Peter.
Then she would be caught up in another, larger conspiracy, falling in the struggle for power.
Adriana had a good and bad life Peter saw in the eyes, just did not expect Adriana will insist on refusing to go to Obren.
He knew in his heart that Adriana must have something to hide from him, but Adriana didn’t say it, and Peter couldn’t be bothered to ask.
Knock Knock-
There was a knock on the ward door and Harlee and Zac both pushed in, carrying food.
“This point outside the restaurant are closed, we found a store to let the owner personally get up to get.”
Harlee walked in smiling with the thermos in her hand, “Adri, how are you feeling, any better?”
The person lying there was his own sister, and now that she was awake, Harlee was in a good mood.
Immediately put the food on the table, “Come, try it, this is the first time I find someone to cook late at night, that store is that vegetarian restaurant you usually quite like.”
“Well, thanks … brother.”
Although the relationship with Harlee two people have become very familiar, but Adriana really did not have the habit of calling him ‘brother’.
“I’ll help you up.”
Peter helped Adriana sit up, then pushed the dining table and chairs on the hospital bed in front of her, opened the lunch box and placed the meal in front of her.
The four dishes and one soup were scrumptious.
I thought there was only vegetarian meal in the vegetarian restaurant, but the meal was set up Adriana only saw that the meat and vegetarian nutritious meal and fish soup.
“Do you … want to eat together?”
Looking at Zac, Harlee and Peter all standing around, Adriana looked a little embarrassed.
“We’re not hungry, we just ate.”
Harlee hemmed and hawed.
Instead, Zac looked at Adriana and asked, “I don’t suppose you have no appetite for food now, do you?”
“Who said that? I’ve got a good appetite and I’m just about hungry.”
Adriana did not expect to let Zac guess the clues, but on second thought, he is a doctor, and nothing can be hidden from his eyes.
Shaking his head, he picked up a spoon, scooped up a spoonful of soup and drank it.
The soup is very light, the flavor is very rich, fresh and delicious, but there is not a hint of fishy taste, but good.
Only it’s true that, as Zac said, she didn’t have much of an appetite and couldn’t eat.
“When are you guys planning to go to Obren?”
Adriana was eating and Harlee and Zac both walked over to the couch and sat down, while Harlee looked over at Peter and asked.
Peter has been sitting on the sidelines, quietly watching Adriana eat, not helping her.
It’s not that I don’t want to feed her meals, but I want to see how long the stubborn woman is going to last.
He was inexplicably a little frustrated and felt at a loss for what to do with her.
“Listen to Adriana and depart when she says.”
Peter responded.
“What do you mean? ”
Harlee was confused, frowned, got up and walked over to the bed, sat directly on the edge of the end of the bed, looked at Adriana and asked, “You don’t want to go?”
According to Peter’s character, knowing that Adriana’s body is in danger must not delay a minute.
But now Adriana is in a bad way, and he’s still grinding away.
Harlee thinks the problem must be Adriana’s.
“Hmm.”
Adriana took chopsticks and took a chopstick of bok choy into her mouth, chewed slowly, nodded carelessly and said, “I’m in good condition, why should I go to Obren? No.”
She dined with her head down as she spoke.
Harlee’s eyes narrowed slightly and she looked at Adriana with a bit of inquiry, then at Peter, “What’s going on?”
Peter shook his head, “You guys stay here with her, I’m going out for a smoke.”
After saying that, he got up and walked out of the ward.
“I’m going out for a cigarette, too.”
Harlee got up and followed him out.
Seeing that both people had gone out, Zac was a bit baffled and followed suit and stood up, “I’ll go for a smoke too, the ward is too stuffy.”
What else could he not know about Peter?
His own woman was looking forward to her waking up, and he would run off to smoke and leave Adriana here to ignore her?
Three people walked out and Adriana was left alone in the large ward.
Looking at a table full of hearty breakfasts gives some headaches.
She had little appetite, but now she had to eat, otherwise Peter would have questioned after seeing it later, and then stubbornly wanted to take her to Obren.
Besides, isn’t it true that Peter is going out to Old Mr. Soto to ask for the truth?
It’s not that she didn’t want to talk to Peter, but …
I don’t know what to say.
She sat up in bed and continued to eat in order to force her body to keep up with her nutrition, fighting through her discomfort and regurgitation.
At this moment, Peter outside the ward swept his cold eyes at the two men behind him, “Zac, you keep watch upstairs, Harlee come down with me to see Old Mr. Soto.”
Old Mr. Soto is Harlee’s grandfather, so it’s only natural that he should come along.
“Oh, okay.”
Zac’s flickering eyes swept over the two men, his instincts telling him that they must be hiding something from him, but he couldn’t very well ask.
“That’s fine, I’ll wait for you here.”
Zac nodded and walked over to a bench and sat down.
Peter gives Harlee a look and the two get into the elevator.
The elevator door slowly closed, until gradually down, Harlee could not help but ask the question in mind, “What the hell is going on, not said to go to Obren, I just went out to buy a meal and changed his mind?”
How long has it been?
It’s a bit ridiculous.
Peter’s face was gloomy, the whole man was shrouded in gloom, “You should ask Old Mr. Soto about this.”
Originally, we had agreed to go to Obren, but we changed our mind because Adriana had met with Old Mr. Soto.
Obviously, the root of the problem lies on the side of Old Mr. Soto.
“Grandpa? He, he’s awake?”
“He’s never been unconscious.”
“What do you mean?”
“Literally.”
Two people talk briefly and concisely, and perhaps Peter has something on his mind, so he is not willing to talk much.
It was Harlee who was confused and muttered, “Isn’t he unconscious, why is he still awake?”
The two men went downstairs, stepped out of the elevator, and walked lightly outside Old Mr. Soto’s hospital room.
“Boss.”
The two men guarding outside the ward saw Peter coming and gave him a slight jowl.
“Hmm.”
Peter nodded, “Open the door.”
The two bodyguards pushed open the door, and Harlee then walked in with Peter.
In the ward, Old Mr. Soto was lying on the bed, and when he heard Peter and Harlee coming, he opened his eyes and sat up from the bed.
Harlee was shocked and a little angry in his heart as he walked up to Old Mr. Soto and questioned him to his face, “What’s wrong with you? You’re not in a coma and you’re scaring me?”
