After a week of holiday in Maldives with Anna my fiancee we were back again in L. A. Everyone were so excited when they heard that we were engaged.
Mike, Elle and Kevin were sentenced and will serves their crimes in the jail.
Anna and I were soon to be married but I haven’t choose my best man yet. I was thinking to ask Jerome today as he is Anna’s best friend.
We decided to do our wedding day before Jerome comeback to his duty.
I walked to their office and the staff greeted me.
“Good morning Mr. Moore.”
“Good morning, is Jerome in his office?” I asked.
“Yes sir, he is expecting you.”
“Thank you!”
I pressed the lift and soon I reached his office. I know on the door and I heard said.
“Come in please.”
I opened the door and I saw him walking toward me.
“Hi” I said.
“Come in.” He replied.
“Sorry to bother you.” I told him
“Nah, it’s okay please have a sit.” He offered.
“So what brings you here in my office? Hopefully it’s not a bad news.” He laughed.
“Not at all! I just want to ask you if you would be my best man since you’re very important to Anna.” I told him.
“Of course it is my honor to be your best man.” He sat next to me and shaked my hand.
“Thank you Jerome.”
“You’re welcome man! You both are meant to each other and I am very happy to see Anna settling down soon.”
“So when are you leaving?” I asked him.
“Soon after the wedding. It’s been a long time I wasn’t in service and it’s time to go back. I am now relieved knowing you’re there for her. Please take care of my best friend Denyx.”
“I will Jerome. I promised that I will make her happy for the rest of our lives. She’s my everything and I won’t fail you neither my heart.”
“Thank you Denyx. I am glad to hear that. Believe me I will punch your handsome face if you’ll hurt her.”
He laughed but I know he is serious too.
“You can count on me with that Jerome.”
“Great! Would you like to have some coffee? Sorry I got carried away. I forgot to offer you.” He asked.
“No thanks! I’m good. I won’t stay longer because I need to see Anna before going back to my office.” I told him.
“Okay then, I won’t keep your time with me. For sure Anna is waiting for you in her office.”
“She doesn’t know I dropped by here, she’s quite busy for our wedding preparation. She doesn’t have time for me.” I laughed too.
“Nah, don’t worry she will be yours soon. She can’t run away from you anymore.” He smiled.
“Okay buddy! Thank you again and see you.”
I bid good bye to him. He nodded his head and I left.
I walked towards the lift and pressed the next button where Anna’s office is.
I saw Kat talking on the phone and I smiled at her.
“Excuse me Kat. Is Anna’s inside her office?” I asked.
I heard her said good bye to the other line and hang up the phone.
“Yes sir, she’s inside. Would you like me to call her?” She asked.
“No, it’s fine. I’ll knock on her office.”
“Okay, please go ahead.”
I walked to her office and knocked on door. I heard her said.
“Come in please.”
I opened the door and smiled at her.
“Oh you’re here babe! You didn’t call me.” She asked surprisingly.
“Sorry baby I know you’re busy and I don’t want to disturb you. I just came by to say hi. I went to see Jerome in his office.” I explained.
“You did?” She asked.
“Yeah, I asked him to be my best man.”
“What did he say?”
“He said yes.”
“That’s good to hear.” She smiled.
“Yeah, I couldn’t think of someone else to be my best man except him because he was been there for you when I wasn’t.”
I came closer to her and leaned to gave her a kiss on her cheek and sat down on the chair in front of her table.
“I chose Liza to be my made of honor too. They were my best friend since I moved to Boston and I wish they could build a family soon as well.”
“Oh baby, I believe so. Liza and Jerome were been a great couple and surely they’ll make a family soon.”
“I hope so babe, because I can’t bare to see Liza crying again when Jerome goes back to his military world.”
“Love will find ways if they’re destined baby believe me. Because love brought us together again.” I smiled.
“Alright Mr. Moore, I believed in you.” She also smiled while shaking her head.
“Anyways baby I won’t keep your time. I have some work to finish. I have to go back to my office. I will pick up you later.” I told her.
“Sure babe, please take your time. I am also finalizing our catering for the wedding. If you’re quite busy today just meet me at my apartment later, you don’t have to comeback here.”
“We’ll see about that later baby. You can chose whatever pleases you on our wedding. As long as it makes you happy I will be okay.”
“I just want a simple wedding with our family and friends babe, my cousins from England are coming with uncle Dennis and aunt Lily.”
“I can’t wait to meet them baby. My aunt and her family from Australia are coming too.”
“We have only two weeks left babe but everything’s ready.”
“I can’t wait to see you in your wedding dress baby.” I told her while she walked to the other side of her office to reached the documents on the shelf.
I stood up and helped her pick up the folder and gave it to her.
“Thank you!” She said.
“Not at all baby. See you later?” I told her.
“See you!”
She replied but before she could say anything else I kissed her deeply and pulled her body closer to mine.
She put her arms around my neck and kissed me back. While we were lost in thoughts we heard a knocked on the door.
She fixed her dress and let go of me.
“I’m expecting the catering person in-charge today babe, I think that’s her.” She told me.
I kissed her on her lips softly and smiled.
“I’ll leave you to her then. Love you baby.”
“Love you too.”
She replied then I opened the door and saw a woman standing in the front.
“Miss Mc Len is expecting you, please come in.” I told the woman and I left.
“Thank you sir.” I heard her said.

Today I woke up with a huge smile on my face. It’s my wedding day. I haven’t seen Denyx for 3 days as Liza said it has to be.
The bride and groom shouldn’t meet within three days so it will be exciting and we will avoid any incident.
I sat in my bed and looked at my wedding dress in front of me. I pulled the drawer next to my bed and took out my family picture with my mom in it.
I touched mom’s face and smiled.
“Hi mom, I wish you were here to see me walking on the aisle on my wedding dress.”
I wiped the tears that rolled down on my cheeks.
“Your daughter is about to marry the man of her life mom. How I wish you could join dad to walk me down. I know it’s impossible to happen but I’m sure you’re happy watching me on this special day.”
I kissed mom’s picture and put it on my chest closer to my heart and put it back in the drawer.
I heard a knocked on the door with Liza’s voice.
“Anna are you awake now dear?” She asked. Liza slept at the guest room today.
“Yes, coming.”
I stood up and opened the door for her.
“Good morning Mrs. Moore soon to be. Come on hurry up shower yourself. We will have breakfast before the make up artists come. She dragged me to the bathroom gracefully.
“Why did you cry?”
She asked when she noticed my eyes.
“I just wish mom is here Liz.”
I told her and she hugged me tight.
“My dear Anna, no matter where your mom is, she is very proud of you and I am sure she’s very happy watching you walking on the aisle.” She comforted me.
“Thank you Liz, I don’t know what I am now without you.” I told her.
“I love you Anna and I will always be here for you no matter what because I know you’re always there for me too. Now come on prepare yourself and come out for breakfast before we start your make up and dressing you.”
I nodded my head and she left my room after she made sure I am okay.

” I can’t explain my feelings to see my daughter today. It’s been so dark for decades knowing my life weren’t the same anymore when I thought I lost her.
But when my sister Lily and her husband Dennis received an invitation letter to her wedding day, we can’t believe she’s alive.
She survived on that car accident, but I saw the news paper she was buried with me when Arthur and others though I was dead too.
Twenty-three years ago there was a car accident and I was driving the car when I picked up her at school.
The huge truck was heading on our way when I saw the driver and the woman inside the truck were fighting.
The woman were trying to pulled the steering wheel to the other side while the man tried to pushed her away so he can hit our car.
All I remembered was we were hit and our car rolled over and I tried to pushed my daughter out of the car.
Then one day I woke up knowing she was gone and I was in a comatose for three years.
My sister believed the woman they found wasn’t me, so she looked for me that day and she was right.
It wasn’t me the dead woman was the driver’s wife.
She hid me and they took me here in England though I was comatose.
I couldn’t talk and walked for so many years. But in my mind and heart the pain were there when I found out she didn’t survived.
They kept me away to protect me and when they contacted Arthur after I woke up from comatose he was gone.
My sister couldn’t reach him and the investigator said he left for good. After that we didn’t have news about Arthur’s life.
I was hurt knowing he also suffered of our child’s death so I stopped looking for him.
My therapist didn’t give up on me until the day I started to talk and walk again.
Then everything wasn’t easy at all and I am losing hope until we saw the invitation that belongs to my sister and her family for Anna’s wedding.
My daughter is alive and my sister hugged me with happiness.
My tears doesn’t stop while reading the invitation with her name in it, Anna Mc Len and Denyx Moore’s wedding.
“All these years she is alive Lily! My daughter is alive!” I told her crying.”
“Yes, Anna is alive Amy your loving daughter is alive and we will going to see her.” Lily told me.
We decided not to call her nor Arthur so we won’t ruin the wedding plan but instead we will show up on her wedding day.
I got up early today as I can’t explain my feelings.
Excited yet scared to see my loving daughter and husband. What if they will hate me for giving up looking for them when they left L. A? I am also excited to see my daughter after more than two decades.
I looked at myself in the mirror. The big scar is still fresh on my face.
It reminded me everyday of that accident but I chose not to undergo with surgery so it will remind me of my daughter’s last memory being with me.
I took a deep breath and wiped the tears on my face.
I am ready to see my daughter today.
I put on my dress and shoes and I heard a knocked on the door.
Lily was calling me that we must leave now going to the wedding ceremony.

Liza and I were inside the car on our way to the wedding ceremony.
Denyx and I decided to have a garden wedding because my mom loves flowers and today I decided to used her favourite flowers the pink roses.
When we reached the venue I felt nervous yet excited at the same time. Liza squeezed my hand.
“Are you ready dear?” She asked me.
“Yes Liz, I am.” I smiled.
“Let’s go then.” She told me and she get down the car first and opened the door for me to come out.
I get down from the car and I saw my dad leaning his head on the curtain door to see us. He smiled at me and closed the curtain again. Then we heard the music started. My dad is waiting inside the curtain door to walk me in the aisle.
“Ready?”
Liza asked and I nodded my head to let know I am ready. She started to walked inside the door. When I couldn’t see her anymore I heard the host said.
“Let’s welcome the bride.”
Then the music started
“When God gave me you.”
I was about to take my first step when I heard a familiar voice called my name.
“Anna my darling baby.”
Then I froze. I couldn’t move.
“How can it be? I know it was belong to my mother’s voice but she’s dead.”
I mumbled to myself.
“Anna, darling it’s mom.”
All I knew she was standing in front of me and I looked at her with blank expression.
