I woke up early to do my daily routine. I went back to my villa and did my workout here. After my workout I showered myself and called mom.
“Hello mom good morning.”
“Good morning son.” What made you call so early today?”
“Are you free to talk? Is Mike there?”
“Yes, I am free. He is not here he went to his son yesterday and haven’t comeback yet.”
“Good mom. Yesterday I met uncle Arthur at aunt Amy and Anna’s tombs.”
“What? Arthur is back?” My mom was surprised
“Yes, actually I hired an investigator to find him
and they followed him. From Boston where he lived and yesterday he just came back.”
“That’s a great news son.”
“Yes mom and I spoke to him yesterday. I gave him all the evidence he can use to reopen the case for his family.”
“That’s really good to hear.”
“I went with him yesterday to the police station and he filed a case against Mike.”
“Well he deserves to get justice for his family.”
“Yes mom, but he invited me and you to have dinner with him today 7 o’clock in the evening.”
“Ohh really?”
“Yes, he said he has something to tell me which is very important and he will introduce someone.”
“Oh! I see.. may be he will discuss business with you and introduce you to his business partners.”
“I don’t know mom but are you coming with me?”
“Of course son I will come. It’s been two decades I haven’t seen him and no news at all those years.”
“Perfect mom. I’ll pick you at 6 o’clock. So we’re settled now?”
“Okay son no problem at all.”
“Thank you mom have a good day.”
“You too son. See you later.”
I hang up the call and went down for my breakfast. I wondered what Chloe’s doing but I need to give him space. I did something wrong last night though I didn’t regret it still it wasn’t justify my wrong action.
While having my breakfast the door suddenly opened. I saw Elle coming towards me.
“Hi, good morning handsome.” She smiled
“What are you doing here Elle?” I sneered
“Is that what you greet me early in the morning? After not talking to me for several days already?” She complaint
“Elle I don’t have to explain anything to you.”
“Fine Denyx! You’re so distance these days.”
“Elle will you stop this nonsense? I’m not your boyfriend so don’t expect to give you my attention.”
“Why are you saying these? You know what after meeting that vicious woman you treat me like I’m a stranger.”
“Stop calling Chloe a vicious woman because she has nothing to do with your manners Elle.” I raised my voice.
“See? You defended her while you’re hurting me! For sake Denyx I’ve been besides you since we were young!” Elle hysterically said.
“You’re my friend and that’s what we have only. Now leave my place Elle if you still want us to be friends.”
“Fine! But we are not done yet Denyx. She can’t have you mark my word.” She turned around angrily and left.
I shook my head for her behavior. That’s the reason I never fall with her she’s self centered. I continued my breakfast and took my car key and left my villa. I drop by at Starbucks and picked up a coffee and croissant for Chloe. She must be awake at this time. After that I went back to my apartment at Lawrence Building. I went inside the lift and when I arrived at the 20th floor I door bell on her door.

I opened my eyes and stretched my arms and body in bed. I woke up late today. I looked at the clock and it’s 9 o’clock in the morning. I suppose to wake up early 7 o’clock to go to the gym but I fell asleep late last night. I stood up from my bed and went to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth took off my clothes and went for a shower. I dried myself and put on a short jeans and white sleeves t-shirt. I love wearing it inside my house when no one is around. I felt comfortable moving around my apartment by myself.
After I was done preparing with myself I came out to my room and went to the kitchen. But before I could make coffee for myself I heard the bell rang.
I wonder who could it be. I opened the door and the person I don’t want to see now is in front of me.
“Good morning Chloe.” He said smiling
“Good morning Denyx. What can I do for you?” I ask seriously. I am not in the mood to play his game.
“I went outside and I bought you coffee and croissant.” He handed the coffee and bread to me.
“Thank you but you don’t have to do this.” I reached the coffee and croissant. I need it so badly so I don’t have time to say no to it.
“It’s on the way back here so I thought I could get for you.”
“Thank you for your thoughtfulness but you don’t have to do this Denyx.”
“I want to Chloe and please let me show you that my intention is clear and I’m sorry for last night.”
“It’s okay it wasn’t just you.”
“I hope your not mad at me?”
“No, I’m not. I was just… You know… I’m not ready.”
“I understood and I was really sorry because I should have at least wait until you’re ready.”
“It’s alright it was happened let’s forget it. Would you like to come in and join me for these?” I raised the coffee and and bread he brought for me.”
“Not thanks I am good. I had breakfast already. I am just dropping by to get something and then leave. I’m sure you need your peace.” He smiled
“Ha.. ha.. well done.! I laughed
“Enjoy and have a nice day Chloe. By the way you look gorgeous.” He teased
I blushed with his compliment but I managed to say.
“You too and Denyx, Thank you for these.” I swayed the bag he handed me.
“Sure! It’s nothing.” He then turned his back going to his unit.
I went inside my apartment and so Denyx is. My heart is beating fast every time he is around with me. I placed the bag of coffee and croissant on the table and took a plate and utensils to use for my breakfast. I sat down on the chair and took a slice of bread and bite it. I smiled.
I finished my breakfast and sat on the couch then I remembered to go to my mom’s grave today.
I stood up and changed my Short in a black jeans and paired with my red blouse and black shoes.
I stepped out the apartment and drove myself to the flower shop.
I pushed the door and came in
“Hi good morning.” I smiled
“Hello dear good morning, what can I help you?” Mrs Kelly smiled.
“I would like to buy flowers again. Same as last time.” I told Mrs. Kelly
“Sure! Have a seat first while I’m preparing the flowers.” She said.
I sat down on the chair while she’s making a bouquet of flowers for me.
“Chloe right?” Mrs. Kelly asked.
“Yes” I replied.
“This someone must be very special because you love giving her roses.” She said.
“It’s for my mom but she’s in heaven now.” I told her.
“I’m sorry to hear that dear. I didn’t mean to remind you of sadness.”
“It’s okay Mrs. Kelly. It’s been a long time. I already accepted my faith.” I explained.
“That’s very strong of you darling. Your mom must be very proud of you.”
“Thank you.” I smiled.
“It’s done dear.” She handed me the bouquet of roses.
“Thank you for these.” I reached the flowers.
“Come back again soon and I’ll make extra beautiful bouquet for your mom.”
“That’s very kind of you Mrs. Kelly. Thank you once again. I’ll go ahead.”
“Sure dear anytime for you.”
After paying Mrs. Kelly I left her flower shop and went to the car. Mr. Grey opened the door for me and I get in the passenger seat.
Mr. Grey drove the car to the memorial park and soon we’d reached. I got down out of the car and walked to my mother’s grave. I daw another beautiful bouquet of flowers and I’m sure it’s from my dad. When I reached mom’s tombstone, I sat down.
“Hi mom, I’m back again. I have so many things to tell you. You know I’m so happy that dad finally decided to comeback here in Los Angeles. We will be able to visit you anytime. I have a good news as well. I got more evidence for your justice. Soon you’ll have it mom.
I really missed you here. I just wish when I comeback to our mansion you’re there. I hope I can still hear your voice calling my name..
Mom please watch over us always so I will feel your presence.” My tears once again fell on my face. I wiped it and smiled.
“I may have a short moments with you before you left me in this world but mom I really love you and I miss you everyday. I won’t stay longer today because dad wants me to have dinner with him in our mansion. Bye mom. I promised to visit you soon.” I stood up and brushed my clothes with my hands and blew a kiss to my mom. But before I left I look at my tombstone and smiled. Anna you’ll gonna be alive soon once you get a justice.
I turned around and left the grave yard. I saw Mr. Grey was already waiting for me a far.
“Let’s go Mr. Grey.”
He opened the door for me and I get in.
“Let’s go to my office. I will come there and I will be leaving from there to our mansion later.” I told him.
“Okay Ms. Chloe.”
“Mr. Grey you don’t have to call me Miss anymore just call me Chloe. Nobody is with us.”
“Okay but I am just concerned for your safety.”
“I understood but soon we will be back to normal I promise that.”
“Please be careful Chloe. You know your mother died because of those evil people and if they’ll find out that you’re still alive they might kill you again.” He said.
“I know Mr. Grey and don’t sorry I am very careful of it.” Soon we reached my office.
“Mr. Grey you can rest for some time. Pick up me at 6 o’clock in the evening.”
“Okay, I’ll come back later.” He said
“Thank you.” i told him.
“It’s really nothing.”
Mr. Grey left and so I went to my penthouse. I want to rest for a bit before going to see our mansion for 2 decades.
