Chloe was smiling when she heard the call from the assistant of CEO Moore.
Her beautiful face and blue eyes are extremely happy hearing that Denyx Moore is now willing to sign a contract to Johnson Company.
He wanted Chloe to personally handed the contract to him before signing it.
“I know it will work Jerome. I’ve been waiting for this for decades. I can finally get in to this company.”
Chloe is absolutely happy for her returned. She wanted to revenge to her mother’s death. After a few years of investigations she finally found out that the car accident happened to her and her mom was planned.
Although her mom didn’t survive from that accident but she did.
Her father tried his best to protect her and that’s include when they buried Anna Mc Len and Chloe Johnson was born.
They hide her body so no one would suspect them.
For her safety Arthur Mc Len promised his wife to do his best to protect their daughter. That’s why Arthur buried Anna’s identify together with his wife’s death in order to protect their daughter to those who wanted to kill them.
Slowly the smiles faded in her face and turned into sadness. Her mother’s death left a huge impact in her life.
She has to move to Boston from L. A.
She has to leave this place because they’re no longer safe here but who would thought that now Anna is still alive?
She was in her deep thoughts when Jerome spoke.
“Chloe I know it won’t be easy but I am willing to help you and Mr. Mc Len. As long as you wanted me to pretend to be Mr. Johnson I will do my best to portray this rule.”
She looked at Jerome with appreciation in her eyes.
She has to asked Jerome to play as a CEO of Johnson’s company and she can take a position as an assistant so no one would suspect her plan to take down the Moore Corporation.
She move forward and patted Jerome’s shoulder and said.
” Thank you Jerome, you’re the only person I and my dad can trust with.
I Know it is a lot to ask you about this but you still chose to help me.
You’ve been helping us for so many years and I know you have also concerns about our company.
My mother lost her life because of their greediness of power and money. I will take again what they took from us.”
Her blue eyes expressed of deep coldness and hatred while she’s talking in from of Jerome.
Her mom and dad worked hard to build the Mc Len Company and the corporation.
Between the two companies surged high on that time when both signed the contract.
But it was too late for her father and mother to know the hidden agenda of Moore Corporation.
They took a money from Mc Len company and take advantage of it when they knew that their business is going bankrupt.
That day, Amy Mc Len had a long meeting to Moore corporation and she wanted to withdraw the contract.
After the meeting she left the company and pick up her daughter Anna Mc Len from school as she loves to do it even though she is a busy woman.
She made sure her daughter is given an equal time from her.
After she picked up Anna at that day from school, she even made a promise that they’re going to Disneyland.
Chloe was so excited to go to Disneyland with her parents because she can have a Disney lollipop.
She was so excited to see the cartoon characters.
But on that day she didn’t expect that somebody will hit their car on purposed and it leads into a tragedy accident that she can’t even afford to forget.
The Moore killed her dearly mother without mercy.
Luckily she survived because her mother pushed her body out of the car to protect her from fatal impact.
The last words she heard from her mom was “I love you my baby please take care of yourself self and daddy.”
Chloe’s heart stops beating a few seconds and her eyes moist and couldn’t help herself to let the tears dropped on her face.
It still hurt inside her soul everytime she remembered that memory.
Arthur hid her in their rest house for few months for her complete recovery.
At that time Arthur changed her name and buried Anna with Amy’s death so no one can harm their daughter.
Anna Mc Len died while Chloe Johnson was born.
Jerome’s mother was a nurse and she was the only one knew about her identity.
She was assigned in Los Angeles and when they went to Boston she already carried Chloe’s name.
Jerome Mack was the son of nurse Irene Mack. When he was capable to work her father hired him to be her assistant and protector.
They have a very good friendship. Jerome’s father died when he was 12 since then her mother raised him by her own strength.
Mc Len family helped Irene Mack to send her son to Army and then send him back to protect Chloe’s identify.
Chloe played her role as Chloe Mack the assistant of Johnson’s CEO, Jerome Johnson. The truth was she’s the CEO and Jerome was the assistant but only four of them knew about it.
Even in Johnson Company no one is allowed to enter their office except for the secretary.
Chloe’s face darkened while thinking of meeting the CEO of Moore Corporation.
She let go of deep sighed.
“Jerome please arrange my apartment while I’m meeting Denyx Moore.
Choose the small and simple one.
Don’t make it luxurious because everyone must think that I’m just a secretary.
After I come back we will visit my mom’s grave. I miss her so much. It’s been 22 years since I left this place.
Although I hired somebody to look after my mom’s grave but still I want to see her first on the first day of my return.
God knows how much I miss my mother.
And Moore corporation is the one to held the responsibility of her death.
This company must sink slowly by slowly until they will beg for my forgiveness.”
Jerome saw Chloe’s face darkened and furious he couldn’t stand seeing her indeferent manner.
She will be cold as an ice berg and doesn’t care if she could hurt her own soul just to make her plan work.
He looked at her and reminded her
” Chloe, I know you want to take down the Moore but please remember that don’t take your self get hurt.
Otherwise I will regret doing this.
Promise me that you won’t do such thing without telling me the next move.”
He spoke with his worrying face and worried eyes.
“Don’t worry Jerome, I planned for this for a long time and I will make sure to make all works according to our plans.”
She look at her watch on her and it’s 1:30PM half an hour before her appointments to Denyx Moore.
” Anyway I have to leave now and please don’t forget to let me know the apartment’s address once you find one for me.
Make it simple I don’t want them to know I’m not your assistant.”
Jerome nodded his head.
” Alright I’ll let you know soon I have to go and see the place first to make sure it’s safe enough for you to stay there.
Don’t forget to call me after the meeting with Denyx Moore.
Don’t be impulsive take it easy and don’t show your angry emotions otherwise they’ll find out soon. ”
She smiled looking at him.
” I know and will bear that in my mind. I’ll take a taxi and don’t send me the car.
From now on I’m taking a public transportation just to make sure there will be no doubt.
Don’t worry I can manage my self. I’ll call you if I need your help.”
“Well in that case be careful yourself Chloe, you know that you’re my responsibility to your father.”
Jerome doesn’t like this idea but he can only agree.
” I’ll leave first. I will be back soon as long as he sign the contract. ”
She took her black handbag and hold it on her right hand with her and hold the folder on her other hand.
She walk out to her office and open the door. She walks slowly going to the elevator and let go of the deep sighed. She pressed the button and waited for the elevator.
“Ding…”
The sound of the elevator and the door open. She pressed the G ground floor button.
When she arrived at the lobby she walked to the door and pushed it and stand outside the building and looked around then she waved her hand to call the taxi.
Soon the taxi stoped in front of her and she open the door and sat down at the back sit. The driver looked at her and asked.
” Where do you want to go ma’am?”
She smiled and her lips moves.
“To the Moore Corporation building please.”
The driver then started to hold the stirring wheel and stepped on the pedal.
Soon the taxi started to move. Chloe move her head close to the window and looked outside. The city is really busy of people moving around.
It’s been 22 years she haven’t visited this place and early this morning he finally flew back here. She missed this place especially the memories she had here.
The memories of having a complete and happy family.
This was the place where she was born and the life of her mother’s youthfulness and soon became her own.
There were so many good memories and turned into a nightmare one.
The place changed rapidly. The new tall buildings are all around the city and many stores been built. Many restaurants that had been added.
It changed a lot but only one thing it didn’t change , her feeling to take down the Moore family and their business.
Her gloomy face started to darken and become very cold again.
The hatred can be seen in her eyes. She felt like she’s no longer a gentle and happy child were she was before.
The child who loves lollipop and once she have it her world would spin around with happiness.
She’s no longer a delicate girl who would break down once she couldn’t get her favorite sweet lollipop.
Now she’s a business woman a successful CEO of Johnson company.
Her company received several awards in business industry because of her hard work. But no one know her identity and no one know behind the success of Johnson company.
