“The uncle came to me and told me.” I sat down on the edge of Gerogene’s cot, my face calm. “He also came to me and badgered my mother, wanting to remarry. Eventually, my mother did a DNA report. He seemed a little testy, and after he left our house that day, he was found by the creditor, and he ran away overnight.”
Calvin looked at me with drooping eyelashes, feeling a little uncomfortable. He knew I was angry with Philip Brown on the surface, but in reality I had a deep bond with my father.
“He’s been hiding outside for a while. He may be a drug addict. He got caught by the police when he was on his way to buy drugs.” As I said that, I let out a long sigh.
“Do you want me to do something for you?” Calvin touched my hair frantically.
“No!” I grabbed Calvin’s large hand and rubbed it against my cheek. “Everyone should be responsible for what he did. If he did it, he needs to take responsibility! Besides, his transaction amount is so huge, I don’t know how many people got hurt.”
“Okay!” Calvin brought my hand to his lips and kissed it.
“By the way, did Abby Williams get it?” I looked up at Calvin.
I’m feeling a little tired. There are too many people involved in the Smith family, and too many things to worry about.
“Don’t worry about it, she’s already in Switzerland.” Calvin smiled mysteriously, but the cold smile was creepy.
I sighed. “What would she be doing in Switzerland on purpose?”
“Don’t you think it would be too easy to get her directly?” Calvin blinked, and a dangerous light flashed in the corner of his eyes. He hadn’t paid too much attention to Abby Williams until now, thinking only that she was Kevin Smith’ mistress.
But she hadn’t expected that I would successfully steal a lot of important information.
It seems that the reason Calvin didn’t catch Abby Williams her right away was because he wanted to keep her in distress, like a cat catching a mouse, and then create conditions for her to escape. This torture is even more exciting than outright killing Abby Williams.
Because it destroyed her mind and spirit.
I suspect Calvin will deliver Abby Williams a fatal blow when she goes to the bank for money. Yeah, Calvin put on a good show making Abby think she can break out of jail and escape Kevin’s pursuit.
Really reckless!
I waited until the next day to talk to Calvin about Fiona Smith. At that point, I just casually asked if he should bring Geroge to her. After all, she is Geroge’s grandmother.
Who would have thought that Calvin would immediately get angry after hearing that. I dare not mention it again, after all, our good day has just begun and I don’t want to talk about it.
The days passed, and I was discharged from hospital. Geroge, who was just full moon, has turned white and fat and is extremely beautiful and pleasing.
At last the time came for Geroge’s hundred-day banquet.
Guests had been there since dawn. I held Geroge and Calvin to greet the guests. Later, there were too many people, and Calvin was afraid I was too tired, so he made me go back to my room to rest. I refused, after all, this is a good day for Geroge, and I can’t be absent. But when the crowd was loud, Geroge cried, and I finally went back to the room.
Time flickered until the afternoon. With too many guests today, the Smith mansion couldn’t hold that many people, so Calvin moved the venue to the hotel for the noon dinner.
Shortly after three o’clock, I was picked up by the stylist and began doing my hair, makeup and getting dressed. This took more than three hours before I was finally done.
As I looked at myself in the mirror then, I couldn’t help but be dazzled.
“Ma’am, stand up and take a look.” The stylist’s assistant brought the full body mirror, and the young girl looked at me in surprise.
“Madam really is the best looking woman I’ve ever met.” The stylist also exclaimed.
The stylist is very excited to see the expression on everyone’s face when they see me.
I’m wearing a red dress with a one-shoulder design that reveals a slender and beautiful neck. The dress looks simple, but the tailoring is exquisite and luxurious all over. Everyone who looks at it knows that this dress is very precious.
There was suddenly a person in the mirror, it was Calvin. He looked at me with undisguised surprise.
“Ale, you are so beautiful!” Calvin hugged me from behind and put his big hands on my waist. Within three months, my figure had completely returned to its pre-pregnancy state, and my skin was even better than before.
“Is this dress too exposed?” I tugged at the hem of my skirt, always feeling that it was inappropriate for me to wear, and it wasn’t a wedding!
“My ale looks good in everything!” Calvin grabbed my unsteady hand.
“I should change; the pink is very nice too!” I still felt uncomfortable.
Calvin grabbed me, “Don’t change it, just this one!”
Before I could say anything, I suddenly felt a shiver on the back of my neck. I blinked and looked down. Calvin took off the ring and put a new necklace on me.
It’s the Sky Mermaid, our token of love.
I looked at this necklace and forgot to change my clothes.
“Ale, I took this diamond to give to you. This is my heart. You have to wear it all the time!” said Calvin as he bit my ear. “Luckily, there’s no need to use this ring. You’re fine, I’m fine, and we’re always going to get better.”
I turned my head, met Calvin’s gaze and smiled, “Hmm!”
“Let’s go, the guests are here, you’re the hostess, you can’t be absent!” Calvin held out his hand to me.
Obediently, I placed my hand on his palm and let him hold it.
When Calvin hugged me at the beginning of the dinner, I held the little baby, and a family appeared before them, everyone immediately exclaimed.
“My goodness, this family of three is so pretty!”
Someone pulled out their phone and started taking pictures. Calvin didn’t stop them. He walked up to me and said curtly, “Thank you for being with us today. My wife and I are much honored.”
After Calvin’s words were finished, the meal began. Calvin and I also sat together. Calvin’s eyes were always on me, and the groups of female guests around me were really envious and jealous.
