CHAPTER FORTY-SIX
“what did you just do?”I yelled staring at Chris who was busy writhing in pains.
“He deserved so much more for touching and undresing Alessia”He gritted between clenched teeth and he turned to her.
“What are you waiting for?, Dress up and let’s go”He ordered, She did that immediately, Tyler took off his jacket and wrapped it around her while she stared at me with beady eyes.
“Enea”She sobbed walking up to me and I stopped her immediately.
“Just go, It’s settled already, I will handle this”I shunned her off softly, She withdrew her hands and walked out of the house.
“You don’t have to do that, Chris is one of my Dad trusted men, He protects him and made sure he doesn’t do much of the work, What are you trying to do?”I questioned, He glared before lighting the cigarettes and puffed out heavy smoke fmafter taking a long drag.
I ruffled my hair before turning to the wall, This is driving my crazy.
“I should be the one asking you that, Did you care about your Dad now?, That man?”He thundered, I sigh before turning to him.
“You know I never cared about him, And I will never do that”
“Look at you, Fu*cking bas*tard”He mumbled under his breath.
Why can’t he understand the fact that I’m not trying to support my Dad here but I don’t want things to get messy anymore, He always seems right with whatever he says, Still, I want to prove him wrong that it’s not so, I never cared about my dad and I will never so that.
Just then, Gray rushed into the room with the boys and stopped on his tracks the moment he noticed Chris groaning his pains.
“What’s that?”He asked with a grimaced face and I scoffed.
“The knife got stuck into his eyes”
“But,, who did that?”
“Is this the right time to ask the person behind these?, Are you nuts or what?”Tyler yelled and he bowed immediately.
“I’m sorry sir”He apologized in a low voice.
“Cut off his hands and two legs and feed the lions with that, He’s of no use, Dispose him off as usual”He gave out the instructions why I could only watch.
Why’s he doing this?, Did something happened before he came here?, Or he’s still being affected by what happened to Liliana?
“You’re letting your emotions get into the way for fu*ck sake!”I yelled grabbed his hand as soon as we reached the car and he Fred his hands away.
“No, you’re the one not doing the right thing, You almost let Alessia got kil*led, Don’t you feel affected at all?”He asked in disbelief.
“I don’t know, I don’t know what else to do, Alessia is getting in our way these days, I kil*led Otis because of her, I confronted Batista too, We are not safe anymore because of this woman, I’m trying so hard not to ruin my mafia because of her, She kept things away from me too”I replied in frustration and he calmed down immediately.
“That was it?”He asked softly and I nodded.
“Let’s go”He patted my back and I followed him to the car.
ALESSIA POV
I’ve never felt like this all my life, Everything is just so chilly and weird, I never knew Tyler was like this, How did Liliana fell in love with this psychopath?
He ruined his sight for God’s sake, I tried not to think about it but I couldn’t, Enea was too slow to make decisions even though he realized that I was in danger, Was he angry at me because I didn’t quit the job after promising him that I will?, Or he doesn’t want to handle the situation?
I would have been dead by now if not for Tyler. I took in a deep breath maybe it will relieve my anxiety but it’s not, My breathing is still laboured and unsteady.
“Take me to my dorm”I said referring to the guy but he shook his head.
“Boss ordered us to take you to the main building”
“Can you stop this for once?, I said you should take me home”I yelled angrily and he flinched back.
“I’m sorry, I can’t..”He shook his head, I pressed my mouth in regret.
I talked way too much, He’s hurt.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to yell at you”I apologized and he bow but didn’t reply again.
Getting home, Liliana was waiting patiently for us, She stood up immediately I entered but almost fell back since she’s not strong enough, I held her carefully.
“You should be careful”I coaxed and she nodded Softly.
“I was worried, Tyler left since, I couldn’t get a hold of him, This is darn crazy”She huffed blinking back tears and I chuckled.
“Did you remember him now?”
“No, I don’t, I was just worried, He’s the one taking care of me” She stuttered.
“He will be back soon, I will be in the room”I yawned tiredly and she nodded.
Shortly, Enea arrived with Tyler and the boys, Guess they cleared him again.
I felt cold chills around me and my stomach churned in a disgusting way, I ha*te blood, i ha*te deaths, I hate watching someone get killed but I’m trapped with this man, I don’t know how to be free from his grasp, I’m stucked.
I waited patiently for him to arrive and not long after, he entered the room, His expression not softened a bit.
“I’m sorry”I blurted not knowing what else to say and he scoffed.
“The driver said you yelled at him in the car to take you back to your dorm?, Why are you so stubborn and adamant?”He scolded and I pressed my lips together.
That darned pretentious driver!, After I apologized, he still reported me to Enea.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t know what I was thinking then, I just want to clear my mind, and go to a less tense atmosphere”I said trying to convince him and he sighed.
“I thought you said you quit the job?, How come?”
“I was planning to quit this month”I stuttered holding my dress tightly.
“This is the same thing you said last two months…”
“I’m…”
“And last month!”He yelled at me wand walked closer a little bit.
“I’m sorry..”
“It’s not gonna solve it, I…, No, We are in a deep mess because of you, You made me take lots of decisions I don’t want to in these past three months all because of your stubbornness, I don’t know how to explain this but we should be expecting an attack soon, Liliana lost her baby because of you too”
“What?”I turned to him in shock and he ran his hands through his hair angrily.
Liliana lost her baby because of me?, How?
“Batista sent one of his men to ki*ll you at your dorm that particular night, But Liliana sacrificed herself to distract his plans but she got unlucky and lost her baby through that”
“Oh!, My…, I’m so sorry”I sobbed and fell on my knees begging him.
No one told me this, Tyler didn’t act differently towards me even after knowing that Liliana did all what she did because of me.
Why did I have to ruin people lives with my own problems?, I’m such a badluck.
“I always ask this question over and over again, After the struggles and everything, Are you really worth the fight?, Alessia?”
