CHAPTER FORTY FOUR
Shortly, The manager walked up to me with a bag containing cakes and three expensive wine. He stretched the bag to me but I was confused. What’s the bag for?, he hardly talks to me.
“You’re going to keep staring?”He snapped, I collected it quickly and cross checked it again.
“What’s this for?”
“The bag is for the guest, You will follow them home and serve them the drinks before coming back here”
“Huhh?”I scoffed in surprise, My service doesn’t inculfe home service, That’s the reason why my income is low but I don’t care, I hate home service so much that’s I refused it blatantly when I came here to look for job.
“Why should I?, it’s not part of my service, There are other people in charge of it”
“Other people?, Yours actually telling me that I can’t send you on an errand?, I’m the manager of this restaurant for fu*ck sake”He yelled dramatically and I took in a sharp breathe to calm myself down.
This is getting crazy, Oh God!, where’s Enea?
“I never said you can’t send me on errands, But this is not part of my service, Besides, I came here to stand in for someone, This is not my original shift, Don’t you understand at all?”I explains which only earn a glare from him.
“You think I care about that?”He scoffed, by this time, The customers diverted their attention to us already while that son of a bit*ch leaned beside the door, watching the drama, I glared at him but he only chuckled, Which got me m*ad.
“What I’m saying is that, I will never do a home service for anyone, And that’s final”
“Then, leave!”He ordered, I clicked my tongue annoyingly and stared at him for a while.
“As if you know I’m going to do that before, To hell with your god-damned restaurant”I shout at the top of my voice and walked out of the restaurant.
Getting to the door, He paved way for me while I walked pass him in anger.
“Ohh, you don’t have to be angry, My little princess”He coaxed, I grimaced and watch out, waiting for Enea to come over quickly.
“You’re waiting for someone?”He asked walking towards me, He tried to touch me but I flinched away from him.
“Don’t you dare, Haven’t you done more harm than good?, you made me lose my job and you couldn’t even let me rest”I smacked the bag on his head, His boys walked closer and tried charging towards me but he stopped them.
“Let her be, She’s just being dramatic”Je hissed in pain and anger while I tried walking away but the grabbed me immediately.
“What are you trying to do?” I asked with fear and anger eating me up rapidly, He grinned darkly before stuffing the white handkerchief in my nose, Darkness overwhelmed me immediately and I passed out in their arms.
ENEA POV
The desperation in her voice got me so worried, I’m sure something is going on with har, Alessia has never told me to pick her up from her place of work, She even hates it, But she begged me with so much desperation and I had no choice than to go pick her up.
“I will follow you”Tyler volunteered immediately and I shook my head.
“Liliana.., She’s at home, what if she wakes up and couldn’t find you by her side?”I asked and he sigh.
“I just want to leave this place, It’s been long I went out, I need to take some fresh breath, please”He pressed more and I had no choice than to let him follow me.
Getting there, it was another story, The restaurant was quiet as hell and there’s nothing normal about it, It’s always rowdy but the place is now empty and the customers were leaving hurriedly.
“What’s happening?”Tyler asked looking around and I sigh.
“I don’t know”I says softly before turning to him. “Take one of the guns, I’m going in there unarmed, make sure you cover me”I order and he nodded immediately.
“Sure, you can leave”
Walking inside the restaurant, The female workers changed into their casual wears already and they were ready to leave.
I quickly approached one of them and she blushed heavily. “Hi, Do you want something?”She drawled in a not so sexy voice and I shook my head.
“What’s happening?”I asked coldly and she flinched back a little bit.
“Nothing, Just that, A female worker was abducted by one of the men, According to what I heard, The manager helped the men to carry out the operation but the security men was fast enough to contact the police, They arrested the manager already”She explained, pointing to the car outside and I could see the man being bundled inside already, I felt cold instantly.
They were talking about Alessia. “The name of the girl?”I demands and she pressed a little bit before replying.
“Ale… Alessia or something like that”
“Fu*ck!”I groaned and rushed out of the restaurant immediately.
“What happened?”Tyler asked walking towards me and I sighed.
“Alessia got kidnapped, I don’t know whatever she did to them but they aren’t ordinary men”
“What do we do then?”
“I’m gonna ask the man about it”I seethed angrily and marched towards the black van.
The men restricted me from walking more closer and I reveal my face.
“Leave here, Immediately!”I yelled and they scampered away after knowing who I am.
“Bring him down here”I ordered, The men dragged him to my feet and he knelt down.
“Who are they?”I asked dropping to a crouch and he sigh.
“I don’t know, they offered me some bucks and I sold her out to them”He spat angrily, Tyler grabbed him immediately and punched his face. He yelps loudly trying to hold his broken face.
“This isn’t gonna help, They are Mafia men, It’s been a while they’ve been coming here to lure Alessia but her stupid self isn’t ready to give in, I don’t know where they live but one of them was talking about Everest estate”
“Everest Estate?, your Dad’s men hideout?”Tyler said immediately and I turned to him sharply.
“What?”I asked in shock and disbelief, trying to keep myself calm.
“Oh no…., Is that not Chris?”
“Chris?”
“You mean….”
