EPISODE THIRTY SEVEN
“Huh?”She stuttered in shock and I moved back immediately.
Fu*ck!, I shouldn’t have said that.
“I didn’t mean to say that to you, I’m…”She ripped the drip stucked in her flesh and stepped down the bed. “What did you just say?”she asked again and I shook my head.
“I’m sorry”I mumbled.
“You didn’t mean to say what?, I begged you to take me to the hospital more than four times, I didn’t realized I was pregnant, You ignored me when I needed you most”She yelled in between tears and I sigh.
“I thought you were being clingy, I’m sorry” I apologized immediately.
“I ha*te you so much, I regretted ever falling in love with you, You’re such a badluck, You made me lose. my baby and the first thing you will say is that I’m too stubborn?”
“I’m sorry, Liliana, I love you so much”I confessed to her but she wouldn’t stop kicking me.
She’s totally insane at this moment, I never knew my words will have such a great impact on her.
I tried dragging her to the bed to calm her down but she wouldn’t stop.
“Please, Just calm down and let me explain myself”I yelled at the top of my voice and she stopped immediately.
“I tried getting across to you, I did everything I could…”
She moved back immediately from me, She started spinning around the room, I run up to where she is and tried holding her but I was rather too late.
She hit her head on the wall and slumped immediately.
“Doctor!”I yelled at the top of my voice and he rushed in with his nurse immediately. He was surprised to see her on the floor and the drip removed from her body.
“What happened?, She’s just recuperating”
“Don’t ask me any questions, Just attend to her”I sobbed, he nodded immediately and collected her from me.
“Please, take him out of the room”
I was ushered out of the room and waited for Enea to come back, He arrived few minutes later with different bags containing clothes and food.
“What happened?”he asked the moment he noticed my countenance.
“She slumped again”
“How the fu*ck is that possible?, I thought the doctor said she’s sleeping?”
“We lost our baby, Enea, The doctor told her and I wasn’t in my right senses, I scolded her for being stubborn, She got angry and started hitting me until she slumped, What did you want me to do?, How am I at fault?”I screamed trying to hold my tears but it keep rushing down my face.
“I was never blaming you, You of all people should know that I will be the last person to blame you for your actions, It happened already, Can you just man up and be strong for Liliana?” He grabbed my shoulders and made me look straight into his face.
“It’s not that easy, Our first child, I made her lost it, I was at fault, I should be the one to pacify her but I ended up scolding her again”
“I still surely do more than that, It was never your fault, Let’s wait for the doctor, Stop Crying”
Hours later, The doctor came out of the ward tiredly, It’s almost noon, They had to perform another surgery on her as she hit her head badly on the wall.
The nurses aren’t smiling at all, I guessed something bad happened already.
“What?, what’s it this time around?”I asked rushing up to him but Enea stopped me immediately.
“Talk to me, He’s not in his right senses”He cut me off and the doctor nodded.
“She had a partial memory loss, She won’t be remember everything completely for some weeks, And the last incident that happened, She won’t remember anything, I will urge you not to mess up around her the same way you did few hours ago, She needs your support and care right now, A miscarriage isn’t something to be toyed with, Her body is yet to heal”
“A partial memory loss?, How come?”Enea muttered in shock.
“She almost died, We implore you to let her take a day rest in the hospital before taking her home”
“Sure, thank you”He mumbled, The doctor walked away after.
“Hey, you’re good?”He asked softly and I nodded.
“I just have to be strong for her, I will be fine”
“Since she’s going to take up tomorrow morning, Let’s go home so you can take a rest”
“Sure”
ENEA POV
after making sure he’s asleep, I stepped down the stairs to take some drink before going to rest.
Surprisingly, I met Alessia sitting timidly on the chair.
She stand up immediately she noticed my presence.
“Hi”she muttered walking up to me and I nodded.
“I’ve been trying to call you, You didn’t pick my calls”
“You should go back to school, I’m fine”I shunned her off, She’s making me doubt my trust in her already, There’s no need of me telling her whatever is going on in the Mafia.
“What happened to Kenny?, I’ve not been seeing her lately, And Liliana too, Is there anything wrong?”She asked curiously, I grabbed her arms immediately and sigh.
“Since you were curious about everything, Why don’t you ask them yourself?, Stop meddling into my affairs, Alessia, I don’t want to tell you to stop coming here, Please”I warned her coldly before letting go of her arm.
“Her name is Nancy, I didn’t knwo anything about her, She smokes and drinks, She doesn’t behave like a normal student, I was never around to notice whatever she’s up to”She confessed, I turned back at her and scoff.
“I never asked you for this, Why telling me?,”
“I’m sorry for not telling you earlier, I just don’t want anyone to get into trouble because of me, I’m sorry”
“It’s fine”I drew her head closer to my chest and peck her.
“Liliana went on a mission last night, It didn’t end well, The Russian bas*tard kicked her in the stomach and other parts of her body, We took her to the hospital to find out she has a miscarriage, No one knew she was pregnant, Tyler was so ma*d”
“The father of the baby didn’t say anything?”She asked in shock and I chuckled.
“Tyler and Liliana are dating”
“What?!, Tyler?”
“Yes, He’s just forming a hard guy, He’s an emotional wreck”
“What now happened?”
“Tyler was angry that Liliana didn’t listen to her yesterday when he told her not to go to the mission but she refused, He took the aggression on her this morning, Things got messy and Liliana slumped, She had a partial memory loss and won’t be able to remember the past incident, And some people, Tyler to be precise”
“It must be so hard on him”She sniffed and I nodded.
“He will be fine”I coaxed and patted her back, She look up at me and peck me softly.
“I’ve missed you”
“We were together yesterday”I chuckled and arrange her hair carefully.
“The call interrupted us, We weren’t able to do anything”
“You want it now?”
“Of course”She grins.
