Chapter 496 Was it Jasper?

Book:Billionaire's Pampered Wife Published:2024-5-1

That person…
It was such a familiar feeling.
It wasn’t Allen, it wasn’t Frederick… and it wasn’t Jasper either. Jasper didn’t need to search for anything and he wouldn’t hide anything from her either. Who was it then?
Stella Grace opened her eyes, but there was no one in the room.
She turned on the light and looked around. She couldn’t find any traces of that person. Was it just a dream then?
The dream was too real.
She called Elvis Zachary.
“Hello, boss,” Elvis greeted her in a daze.
“I’m not your boss. I’m Stella. Could you check for me if anyone had broken into the villa?” Stella asked.
“What? Someone broke into the villa?” Elvis immediately became alert.
“Please check it out for me,” Stella ordered.
“Okay, I’ll check right away,” Elvis hung up the phone.
Stella held her phone and waited for the news patiently.
If the person was not captured by the surveillance camera, then, was the person already in the villa?
It couldn’t be Christian’s men. If it was his men, they should know that the people on the plane were fake. Could it be that the person who had assassinated Jasper were the ones who had been lurking in the military base?
But, why did the person kiss her?
The more Stella thought about it, the more numb she felt. She got up from the bed and went into the bathroom to brush her teeth.
When her cell phone rang, she went out to answer the phone right away.
“Well, Madam, the camera did not capture anyone entering the villa,” Elvis reported.
“Only my mother, Auntie Wood, Lynette, and I are in the villa. Did the God’s Eyes capture anyone else entering the villa?” Stella asked.
“I did ask the same question earlier, but no, there isn’t anyone else in the house. Madam, what’s wrong?” Elvis asked worriedly.
Stella frowned and turned around to look at the neat room.
Could it be that she was just too exhausted and that she was just hallucinating?
“I see. Thank you for your hard work,” Stella hung up the call and looked at her mobile phone. It was only 3 a. m.
She turned on the TV and watched it, but her mind was groggy and she couldn’t seem to focus. Hence, she got up, put on her clothes, and headed to the library to read some books. She flipped through the books casually, not being able to focus on any of them.
She was annoyed by the kiss. Finally, it was 6 a. m. when Auntie Wood got up to prepare breakfast.
Stella called Anthony Levis.
“Madam,” Anthony’s voice sounded as though he had been awake for a long time.
“Let’s go to the island as soon as possible. I want to see Jasper,” Stella muttered in a low voice.
“Madam, the Chief disappeared early morning yesterday,” Anthony murmured.
“What? Disappeared? Where did he go?” Stella was surprised and she asked anxiously. Her heart tightened.
“I don’t know, but no one dared to stop him when he woke up and tried to leave the place,”
“He woke up? What does that mean?” Stella frowned.
“The Chief has been in a coma for a long time. He left the base yesterday but he didn’t tell anyone where he went. I’m also worried. I had been looking for him with the God’s Eyes but I haven’t found him yet,” Anthony spoke with worry.
Stella was stunned for a while. She was sorting out the information in her mind.
It turned out that Jasper had been in a coma previously. He finally woke up early yesterday morning and left the base.
Was Jasper in her room yesterday then?
If he wasn’t captured by the surveillance camera, did that mean that there was a hidden passage in this room?
She remembered that she had suggested to Jasper before to have a hidden pathway. On the one hand, the God’s Eyes would not be able to capture it. On the other hand, they could go wherever they wanted to and avoid traffic jams.
However, if it was Jasper yesterday, why didn’t he look for her directly?
Moreover, the person gave her a familiar feeling, but she was certain that he was not Jasper.
“I see. You should look for him carefully. Remember not to make a scene. Jasper never acts recklessly. He must have his reasons,” Stella spoke in a low voice.
“Do you still want to go to the island today then?” Anthony asked.
“I’ve already told Sean about it. Since Jasper has already left the base, he will probably come looking for me. I’ll go to the island today and stay there for a day. I will come back the day after tomorrow,” Stella replied.
“Okay, I’ll send a plane to pick you up after it’s ready then,” Anthony then hung up the phone.
Stella returned to her room and opened the cabinet.
What on earth was that man looking for?
If he hadn’t found anything, he would most likely come again.
She then called Elvis, “Elvis, I need you to do something for me now. Remember, don’t tell anyone about this.”
“I won’t tell anyone anything about it, I promise,” Elvis spoke with certainty.
“Could you please install pinhole-like cameras in the house and connect them directly to my computer and my mobile phone?” Stella ordered.
“Huh?”
“Remember, don’t be discovered by anyone, and don’t tell anyone about it, not even Anthony,” Stella reminded.
“Okay, I got it.”
“Also, the security system in the house would not trigger the police, would it?” Stella thought of this question.
“Don’t worry. I was the one who installed the system. So I’m the only one who knows the password. I could set it as a safety monitor. That wouldn’t be a problem.”
“Okay, I’ll leave it to you then.”
Stella laid on the bed, lost in her thoughts. She soon fell asleep again in a daze.
Not long after, she was awakened by her phone ringing. When she saw that it was Anthony, she sat up and answered the call.
“Madam, the plane will arrive in half an hour. Also, the ashes have been acquired.”
“Okay,” Stella answered. She got up, washed up again, and went out.
Elvis was already there. He asked Stella, “Madam, didn’t you say that there was something wrong with your mobile phone? Let me have a look.”
“Hey, do you even know how to repair phones?” Lynette Lanes seemed confused.
Elvis winked at Lynette and said, “I know a lot, Miss Lanes.”
Lynette seemed to have thought of something. Her face turned red and she gave Elvis a push.
“Come to my study,” Stella ordered.
“Madam, would you like to have breakfast?” Auntie Wood asked respectfully.
Stella nodded and said, “I’ll come over in five minutes. Sorry to trouble you, Auntie Wood.”
Auntie Wood replied with an honest smile, “It’s not a big deal. Don’t worry about it.”
Stella then walked into the study and handed the phone to Elvis.
Elvis was setting up the software, “I’ve completed the installation in all the rooms, including your room. You were sleeping, so I didn’t wake you up. I did not install one in your bathroom.”
Stella looked at the screen on her phone and continued, “You’re quite efficient. No wonder Jasper likes to keep you by his side.”
“Madam, please set up the password. This password is connected to the computer, so your phone must always be connected to the Internet. Also, because of the connection with the computer, you would be able to see all previous videos that had been recorded by the system,” Elvis handed the phone to Stella.
Stella set up the password and handed the phone back to Elvis.
“I have installed a camera in all the rooms here, including the study room. The screen will look like this when you open it,” Elvis handed the phone to Stella again to show her.
Stella looked at the screen of her mobile phone and realized that there were a total of nine blocks.
If the man were to come again, the camera would definitely be able to capture it.
