They had lunch at the church and it was already 4 p. m. when they got home. Stella Grace was cooking in the kitchen while Jasper Milton was working in the study.
After she was done cooking, she glanced at the study upstairs and went out with her mobile phone and the garbage. After disposing of the garbage, she went to the big locust tree and dialed a number.
“Allen, I want to hire a few mercenaries. Could you please contact them for me?” Stella asked directly.
“Er, okay, how skilled do you want them to be?” Allen asked softly. He didn’t ask her why she wanted these mercenaries. As long as she wanted them, he would get them for her.
“The best. I need five of them. Ask them to call me after you find them. I’ll transfer the fees to them.” Stella said in a low voice.
“Okay. How have you been recently?” Allen asked with concern.
“Mm, I’m fine. What about you?” Stella asked casually.
“Ha.” Allen chuckled. “I’m not doing well.”
“What’s wrong?” Stella asked with concern.
“I don’t have a fiancee anymore, and my family is pushing me. I feel stressed at home, so I may go over to you earlier, is that okay?” Allen sighed.
“Of course. Just tell me when you come. I’ll pick you up at the airport.” Stella said sincerely.
Allen had helped her a lot and he had never asked for anything in return, nor did he force her. She sincerely hoped that Allen would have a good life.
“Call me if there’s anything. I’ll hang up first. My grandmother is calling me. Nothing good I’m sure. Fortunately, she’s not my girlfriend, else I’d be bothered to death.” Allen joked.
Stella thought of Allen’s grandmother and smiled. “You might find her annoying when she’s around. But you will miss her when she’s not around. You should learn to cherish her.”
“Well, that makes sense. Hahaha, I’m hanging up.” Allen said politely.
“Okay.”
After hanging up the phone, Stella put away her phone and walked into the house.
Jasper Milton was looking for her. “Where have you been?”
“I went to dispose of the garbage. I was just about to ask you to come out for dinner,” Stella said with a smile. She washed her hands and put the dishes onto the dining table.
Jasper came over to help her. “Why don’t we go to a movie tonight? There’s a good movie recently.”
“Sure.” Stella agreed instantly. She took the chair and sat down to eat. Then, she looked at Jasper.
He didn’t make a sound at all when he was eating. This showed that he was well-mannered. He even looked good while he was eating.
“What’s wrong?” Jasper asked.
“If we have a daughter who looks like you, she will definitely be very beautiful,” Stella said with a smile.
Jasper slightly raised the corner of his mouth. “Then, I’ll try my best.”
Stella’s face turned slightly red, and she passed a serving of meat onto his plate.
He lowered his head to eat.
This peaceful moment they shared eating was blissful.
She went to wash the dishes after dinner. Jasper followed her into the kitchen to help her.
“I can do it alone,” Stella said.
“I like to accompany you,” Jasper said in a low voice.
“Jasper,” Stella called out.
“Yes.”
She looked at him and said, “I’m still worried at the thought of going to work in your company. Could you give me another week?”
“The main reason I asked you to work in the company was to just give you a position in the company. You don’t have to worry about it. If you don’t feel like working, you don’t have to.” Jasper comforted her.
“I want to treat my job very seriously. Jasper, you’ll spoil me if you continue on like this.”
Jasper smiled and looked at her with a smile in his eyes. “I’m afraid that you’ll run away again if I wasn’t good enough for you.”
“I won’t run away. I’ll be wherever you are. Even if I die, I’m still Jasper’s ghost,” Stella said with a smile.
“That’s good. Okay, I’ll wash the dishes in the future.”
Stella pursed her lips and smiled. She did not reply and they washed the dishes together.
After they were done cleaning, they went out to watch a movie.
Jasper drove while she booked the seats. The movie was at 8:50 p. m.
It was still early when they arrived at the cinema. Jasper went to buy some food while Stella waited in the lounge.
“What a coincidence! We even ran into each other at the movies. Do you think this is fate?” Frederick’s voice rang out.
Stella turned around.
Frederick Addington stood behind her with a box of popcorn. Titus was standing beside him.
She didn’t expect that Frederick had adopted Titus.
“Yes, I find this fate extraordinary. We see each other quite frequently. Is it really by chance or is it intentional?” Stella asked.
“Do you think that I’m following you?” Frederick smiled evilly.
“I’m sure you’re not into self-torture.” Stella replied bluntly.
“I’ve been wondering who you really are. Who are you working for? How do you know so many things?” Frederick said doubtfully.
“I know little compared to you. However, I do believe that I know about one thing that you’ve been most curious about.” Stella said with certainty.
“And what is that?” Frederick asked.
Stella smirked. Without saying a word, she walked out of the room.
Frederick held Stella’s arm.
As soon as his hand touched Stella, he was grabbed hard on the arm.
Jasper shook Frederick’s hand off and said coldly, “Stay away from her.”
Frederick looked at Jasper suspiciously and then at the calm Stella. He said with deep contempt, “Jasper’s love for women is only this much after all. I wonder if Stella is still alive?”
Jasper didn’t want to talk to him. He held Stella’s hand and walked into the cinema. With a cold face, he walked to their seats located in the back row. He put the plastic bag in Stella’s hand and looked at the screen gloomily.
Seeing that he was unhappy, Stella ate a popcorn and smiled ingratiatingly. “It’s delicious. Do you want some?”
Jasper looked at Stella with a livid face. “Don’t you remember what I told you before? I asked you to stay away whenever you see Frederick. What if I wasn’t there just now?”
“I have already walked away. He was the one who grabbed me.”
Jasper frowned. “Do you think that I know nothing? Ever since I knew you were Stella, I had sent someone to protect you. I know your every move.”
Stella’s face turned red.
Including every word she said?
Or, did he just roughly knew what she had done?
“If I had walked away when I see him, it would only make him suspicious.” Stella explained, “I must pretend to be different from Stella.”
Jasper held her hand, “The more you say, the more likely you’ll misspeak. The best way to hide is to stay away from him.”
Stella nodded.
She knew that Jasper was right.
However, her purpose now was not to let Frederick not recognize her but to know who was trying to harm Jasper through Frederick.
Jasper would not be in danger as long as the person behind the scenes was discovered.
