Chapter 269 I Am Being Serious, Don’t Laugh

“Sorry, the Eli Wayne I know would not accept that.” Stella Grace said angrily. She picked up the teacup on the table and drank up all the water in it.
Frederick Addington knew that she was angry so he immediately stopped talking.
The waiter served the meal quickly.
“Do you want some maple syrup to go with the pancakes?” Frederick asked.
Stella had no appetite at all.
Eli was Stella’s only friend. She knew her well.
“Does Sean Yaleman really fancy Eli?” She still couldn’t believe it.
“That’s what I’ve heard. Sean Yaleman, the man whose shrewdness is deeper than anyone else’s imagination. He does things meticulously. If Eli were to be together with him, she would get whatever she wants even if she has nothing to her name.” Frederick commented.
“Eli may look like a scatterbrain, but she is a feisty girl. She does not expect much from men. She doesn’t ask for looks and wealth, but she will never accept being cheated on. Sean must have had a lot of girlfriends, right?” Stella felt a little sad.
Frederick did not deny that fact. “For a man who holds that kind of position, charisma could sometimes be a very powerful weapon. He needs those women and men to consolidate his position. He is only 27 years old. If he gets elected as the president, he will be the youngest president in history, and it’s all thanks to his strength and wits.”
“Don’t you have anyone you know who is reliable whom you could introduce to Eli? She is straightforward and there’s no bullsh*tting with her. She would not be able to handle this kind of drama. Sean is basically a womanizer and Eli can’t deal with other women being around him. I would rather have her live a normal, peaceful life.”
Frederick laughed. “Why do I feel that you’re the last person who has the right to say that?”
Stella got upset at his remark and swatted his hand away. “I’m being serious. Do you think this is a joke?”
His expression went blank. “I think it’s better to let nature take its course. Just go with the flow and maybe Sean will get tired of Eli eventually. If we were to interfere, it may only make him cling onto Eli even more.”
“If Eli gets married, then Sean wouldn’t go through great lengths to get her anymore, right?” Stella speculated.
“But she might end up dragging her husband into trouble,” Frederick guessed.
Stella could tell from Frederick’s words that Sean was an arrogant and scheming person who would abuse his power.
What she hated the most was coercion. She shoved the table a little and said, “I’m not hungry anymore. You can have mine.”
“Stella.” He shouted.
She picked up her bag and walked back to the hotel, feeling disheartened.
Eli probably didn’t know that Sean was eyeing on her. Otherwise, based from her personality, she would have definitely told Stella about it.
She now suspected that he might be the one who had taken advantage of Eli.
Her phone suddenly rang.
When Stella saw that it was Bobby Lameer’s mother, she answered it immediately.
“Teacher Grace, something happened to Bobby at school. Someone saw him peeping at girls in the toilet. The headmaster called me over. What should I do? I don’t have the courage to tell Ryan about this. He would definitely kill Bobby if he hears about it.” Bobby’s mother said worriedly.
Stella’s heart dropped to her stomach. “How could that be possible? I’m going to the school now. Don’t worry. Let’s talk about it when we get there.”
She headed to the school as fast as she could.
The class teacher came out to bring her in when she arrived.
After that, she entered the headmaster’s office.
Besides Stella and the class teacher, the headmaster, the school’s director, Bobby along with several classmates were present too. They were all crammed up in the headmaster’s office.
Bobby clenched his fists and his eyes were red. He was glaring at the classmates in front of him with a murderous look.
Stella realized that something was wrong. She hugged Bobby and said in a soft manner, “It’s okay now. You didn’t do it, did you?”
Bobby looked at Stella, feeling relieved at the sight of her. His eyes were red from being frustrated and overwhelmed. “I didn’t do it. They accused me of doing it.”
“Trust me, Bobby. There is justice in the world. They can’t expect to frame you and get away with it. I’ll ask you some questions, and you have to answer truthfully,” she said.
Bobby nodded obediently.
Stella turned to look at the three children in front of her, and thought to herself, “If three of them says the same thing, it’ll become a fact.”
“Who saw Bobby peeping at girls in the toilet?” Stella asked coldly.
“We all saw it,” said the fat boy.
“When did you see it?” She asked.
“After the second period. We had just finished our school work. When we went to the toilet, we saw Bobby peeping.” The fat boy said righteously.
“Alright, fatty, come with me. Headmaster, please come along, too.” She walked toward the door.
Bobby pulled her hand and said, “Teacher Grace.”
Stella smiled at Bobby and said, “Please bear with it for now. If you can put up with it, you’ll definitely grow to become strong-willed and tough.”
“Okay.” Bobby understood. He nodded and loosened his grip.
The fat boy looked at his companions and followed her from behind, feeling uneasy.
At the corner outside the office, Stella asked the fat boy, “Did you see Bobby peep with your own eyes?”
He nodded. “Yes.”
“Then could you reenact what you’ve witnessed?” she said. She cornered him coldly and started recording.
The boy crawled down in front of the ladies’ toilet, showcasing how Bobby had peeped.
Stella smiled and said, “Bobby would have been a fool if he were to do this.”
“But that’s what I saw,” the fat boy said firmly.
“All right, you can go back to the classroom now.” She looked at the headmaster and said, “Let’s invite the second student to come out and reenact.”
The headmaster knew Stella’s intention, and his face remained stern.
Bobby was the State Mayor’s son. They would not dare to punish him however they pleased. If they had wrongfully accused the State Mayor’s son, the school would not be able to absolve themselves of the blame.
“Why don’t we just let things slide?” The headmaster said with a reluctant look on his face.
“My student has been accused of peeping, how could I just let it go so easily? Or would you like me to invite the State Mayor over to settle this himself?” She said sternly.
“Well, then, let’s continue.” The headmaster had no choice but to go back into the office with her and called another student.
She asked with a smile, “Did you personally see Bobby peeping?”
“Of course.” The short student immediately said.
“Then please show us what you’ve seen.” She took out her mobile phone to record.
The short student’s face was pale. He leaned against the wall and looked inside.
The headmaster’s face turned pale too when he saw it.
The third student was also called over.
What he reenacted seemed like Bobby was rushing into the ladies’ toilet.
“Headmaster, please call these three students to the headmaster’s office together, and call their parents to come over too.” Stella walked towards the headmaster’s office.
Bobby looked at her worriedly.
She walked up to him and patted his head with her hand. “I will let you see how powerful the law is.”
