Hydra looked at her, her eyes widened up a bit.
“Are you pulling my legs?” She asked. “You must be joking right? Please take us to the right place, I don’t have all the time here Amaya so please quit playing around and be serious.”
“Did my words sound like a joke to you?” Amaya asked, her smirk gone and was replaced with a deep frown on her face. “You think I am playing? That this isn’t the River of Darkness, right? Well, sorry to burst your bubble Zelina, we are standing on the River of Darkness and our target is right there.”
“I don’t know how to swim or hold my breath for long.”
Amaya scoffed. “I don’t believe you, you are becoming a god, which you never fail to remind me of. So tell me, how can you; a god, don’t know how to swim or hold a breath for long Zelina?” She asked with a raised brow.
“I can’t.” Hydra reply. Right from time, she doesn’t know how to swim. She is the only one among her sisters that didn’t like the idea of swimming even when Adalinda had tried to teach her how to swim. Only if she knows that years later that it would be of use.
“Then use your magic, you have powers so do something with it.” Amaya said with rolled eyes.
Hydra breathed out in relief, why didn’t she think of that since?
“I wasn’t actually thinking of that Amaya, thank you for reminding me.”
Amaya snorted and opened her mouth to say some sarcastic words to Zelina but Aragorn’s voice stopped her.
“There will be no need for that.” Aragorn announced earning him a hateful glare from Zelina (Hydra).
“Do you wish to die?” Hydra asked with clenched teeth that one would wonder how the words get out without the lips moving.
“No, I don’t wish to die.” Aragorn answered. “Just listen to what I want to say,” he added.
“Whatever it is that you want to say better be good if not, I swear I am going to make you regret ever meeting me.” Zelina (Hydra) gritted out.
“I can control tornadoes, I’m the god of tornadoes after all. I will control it then you will use your magic to keep the water from touching us.” Aragorn told them his idea.
Hydra thought for a while, it wasn’t a bad idea, in fact it was good and wouldn’t require using all her strength fr drowning in the River of Darkness. Using her magic to keep the water from touching them while Aragorn controls the whirlpool water tornado, it’s very easy.
“What will she be doing?” Hydra asked, pointing at Amaya. “Both of us will be doing the hard work here and not her.”
“I will lead you to my father, it isn’t easy locating him,” Amaya said. “If you must know, there are more than one pit there so I am going to find out which one my father is being chained in. That is work, Zelina, and my own work is harder than you and Aragorn’s put together.” she added and looked at Aragorn’s direction. “Let’s go.” Amaya said.
Black mist sprouted out from the ground and formed like a cloud which she stepped on which lifted her up from the ground. She made two more and Hydra and Aragorn wasted no time in stepping on it.
It took them under the mountain where the full sight of the dark River was fully displayed. Amaya lead the way until they stopped right at the center where the whirlpool water tornado was.
“Aragorn.” Amaya called out and didn’t need to say more, the vampire knew what to do.
Aragorn closed his eyes and took a deep breath before opening it. He stretched his arms out and touched the whirlpool water. Immediately the dark water curled around his arms and his eyes became darker like it. He entered inside first and came out, wet.
“It’s under my control,” he told them.
Hydra immediately whispered out a spell and nodded at Amaya.
Taking a deep breath, Amaya entered the whirlpool water tornado first then Hydra followed next then Aragorn.
True to Amaya’s words they passed a lot of pits which were as dark as night. And covering the mouth of the dark pit was fire mixed with the dark river. Amaya ignored the dark pits they passed and continued leading the way upwards. They continued to move upwards until Amaya stopped in front of a dark pit that looked like the rest.
It seems like the pit was the last pit because that was where the whirlpool ended.
“Are we there?” Hydra asked.
“Yes, we are here.” Amaya answered and moved closer to the pit. “Father, it is me Amaya. We are here to get you out of here.” she added.
There was no response or anything that indicates that there was someone in the dark pit.
Hydra squeezed her eyes and tried to see if she could see who or what was inside the dark pit but all to no avail. It was dark, too dark.
“Are you sure you brought us to the right place? There are many pits here, let’s check them all out.” Hydra suggested.
“I am sure, Zelina. Lucifer is here and this is where he is.”
Hydra opened her mouth to speak but a low growl stopped her.
“You came back for me after all.” A hoarse voice was heard followed by another growl. “It’s been a long time Amaya.”
“I am sorry it took me time to get you out father. It wasn’t easy-”
Lucifer Interrupted her. “I am not out yet Amaya so don’t use the word ‘out’ yet when I am still here.”
“I am sorry father.” Amaya apologized.
“Who are they?” he asked.
Hydra could hear Lucifer’s voice but not see him.
“My friends who are also helping out in getting you out of here father.”
“Then get me out of this place and stop delaying any further.”
Amaya quickly nodded her head and immediately the stone appeared in her hands, she gave it to Zelina who immediately got to work.
The stone lifted up in the air, shiny brightly and went straight into the pit. With the light coming out from the stone, Hydra could make out the form of Lucifer caged inside the pit. The chains on him were like lava but dark.
The stone tried to enter his body but couldn’t. It returned back to Hydra palm.
“It did not work.” Amaya said, looking at Zelina who nodded her head.
“Like we expected.” Zelina (Hydra) answered. “We have a plan B, brief your father.” she added.
“Since it didn’t work, we are going to remove your soul and put it inside Aragorn’s body.”
“Whatever it is to get it done, do it fast.” Lucifer growled out the words.
“Aragorn, it’s your turn.” Hydra said and the Vampire moved closer to her. Placing the hand that held the stone over his chest, she began to chant in an ancient language while Aragorn used the dark water curled around his arms to send inside the pit until it touched Lucifer’s heart.
Nothing seemed to work and Hydra stopped her chant. She didn’t think it will take much time here.
“It’s not working.” she muttered.
“His body can’t accept my soul. He is not strong enough for that.” Lucifer said.
“Then can Amaya try? I mean can she take your soul into her own body?”
“She cannot, she is my daughter, it wouldn’t work because she is my flesh and blood.” Lucifer told her.
Hydra groaned, clearly frustrated. This was not how she planned.
“So what are we going to do?” she asked no one.
“I have an idea,” Amaya said.
“What can that be?”
“We use Raziah. In her former life, she was my sister but in her present life, she isn’t but the blood that binds us is still there. Besides, she was the goddess of the day so this idea of mine will work. Let’s use her.”
“Who are you talking about?” Lucifer asked.
“Zia, father, I am talking about Zia.”
