“I don’t understand Chaos, what do you mean by he played all of us?” Elena asked.
“You are too blind to notice what’s in front of you. Believe me I know what I am saying, you may not understand right now, but you will.” Chaos told her. “Let’s keep him busy until my friend comes, she is the only one who can handle him.” he added and ran towards Dark.
Amaya stood beside the huge Cerberus watching the way Dark was fighting the others. Her happiness knew no bounds when Dark had asked her to stay with his Cerberus for protection. She had felt on top of the world.
Dark stopped Chaos’ hand from reaching his heart and kicked Aragorn out of his way again. Aragorn landed on the body of some of the guards still in their kneeling position, he hurried to get up to his feet in anger but was suppressing it. He growled slowly.
“You’ve got to be fast Chaos,” Dark said to him as Chaos watched in horror his black mist joining with Dark’s own in their conjoined hands.
Chaos quickly removes his hand from Dark hold and moves backwards.
Raziah used that opportunity to strike Dark. She succeeded in hitting his face but didn’t know Dark had an ulterior motive.
He grabbed the hand she had used in punching him and brought her close to him as he placed his nose on her neck, taking a deep breath.
“I remember this scent,” he whispered to her and kissed her neck and pushed her away when he saw her fist coming close to his face again. He winked at her. “I will always remember you, your beautiful face is hard to forget.” he added and smiled when Raziah halted in her movement, staring at him wide-eyed.
Raziah heard him but didn’t understand what he meant by that. Did he forget her? Was that the reason he was with Amaya? But that didn’t stop her heart from racing when she heard those words from him. Take that Amaya! She yelled inwardly at the girl who wasn’t even trying to help Dark.
She opened her mouth to speak but no words could come out as the clapping of hands drew her attention which stopped as everyone’s attention was on the new woman. Staring at the woman she hadn’t met before standing at the entrance of the Palace gate which leads to the courtyard where they were fighting Dark.
“Well, well, this is the most boring war I have ever been to. No one is dead yet, well let me change that.” the woman clapping her hands said but made no move to attack any of them. Instead she started walking towards them.
Raziah noticed the woman coming to them was so beautiful. Her red long hair which matches with her red gown was flying behind her.
Aragorn grabbed hold of Raziah’s hand as Chaos and Elena joined them.
“That’s her,” Chaos said to the hearing of his mate and the other two. “She came.” He added a second later.
“She is beautiful,” Elena said and Raziah agreed with her. The woman before them was beautiful and she was walking as if she had the whole world in her palm. She stopped in front of Dark and smirked.
“Are you surprised to see me, Dark?” The woman asked.
“How can I be surprised to see you when I have been expecting you since.” Dark replied.
“Oh, I didn’t know you were expecting me, I could have come earlier then,” the woman said. “I can see you’ve built up a name for yourself, I will crumble it.”
“You wish but you and I know that you can’t.”
“We will see about that.” She walked right past Dark and only stopped when she was standing close to Chaos.
Up this close, Raziah could see some resemblance and her eyes widened up in shock.
“I thought by now he would be begging for mercy,” she said to Chaos and then whispered the next words. “How did he know I was coming?”
“I have no idea but when we fought him he wasn’t really fighting us, he was just playing with us, killing time and waiting for your arrival.” Chaos answered.
“Well, let me not keep him waiting any longer.” the woman said and turned to face Dark.
Dark went and whispered something into the ears of one of the heads. The Cerberus roared once and was gone which surprised Amaya.
“Why would you chase it away when the fight is still going on?” Amaya asked.
“Amaya, my Cerberus needs some rest so I send it back home.” Dark answered and returned his gaze at the red haired woman.
“Who is she?” Elena asked, staring at Chaos and back to the woman.
“Zelina, she’s Dark’s mother.” Chaos answered, confirming Raziah’s suspicions.
“What? His mother wants to fight him?” Elena asked.
“Yes, like I told you before, she is the only one who could kill or defeat him. What she has been looking for has been in him since so she was waiting for the right time to strike.”
“If she is truly Dark’s mother it means she went with my father to the River of Darkness, right?” Chaos nodded his head which made Amaya continue. “But how did she survive?”
“You can ask her when everything is over Elena, for now let’s enjoy the fight that is about to happen.” Chaos told her.
Raziah had been listening to their conversation, she finds it hard that a mother would want to fight her own son.
Zelina sent five balls of fire towards Dark and disappeared.
Dark quickly sent his black mist towards the five balls of fire heading his way. His black mist immediately dissolves the fire.
Immediately the fire was dissolved, Dark grabbed Zelina hand from reaching his neck. She was fast, very, very fast that Dark didn’t see the pointy sharp dragon wing that sprouted out from her back and head straight towards his heart.
Dark felt the sharp pain before he saw what had caused it. One of her dragon wings was inside his body, his heart, twisting itself.
“Don’t even bother to heal yourself Dark, my dragon is poisonous, I’m the only one alive with such a Dragon,” Zelina said. “It’s a pity that everything that has a beginning, has an end too or don’t you agree with me Dark?” she added and removed her sharp end of her wings from his body then it went back into her body.
Dark coughed out blood choking on them as his hands went to his wound. He was staring at Zelina. He wasn’t expecting that to happen. His knees gave way and he went down, hands touching the ground as pain began to spread fast inside his body. He was healing but very very slowly, he didn’t know need to tell anyone.
Zelina looked behind him and nodded at Amaya who went to meet her and place her hand with Zelina. They began to speak in different ancient languages.
Zelina smiled as she placed her other empty hand on Dark’s head and all his black mist began to enter her body.
Dark tried to shake off her hand from his head but couldn’t, the poison was weakening him and even though he was healing, it would take some time.
Once there was nothing left to remove again, she removed her hand from his head and let go of Amaya’s hand. Dark’s black mist surrounded her as she began to laugh.
“Yes, your darkness is strong Dark, I can feel it.”
Then she whispered something into her hand and a sword made from the black mist emerged from her hand. She used it and thrust it at Dark, the sword came out from his front and buried itself to the ground. Zelina opens her mouth to speak but halts when she hears Amaya’s voice.
“Don’t kill him,” Amaya said, “You promised me you won’t do that.”
“Why do you still love this empty man in front of me? He is no longer Dark, he is no longer a Demon, I have taken that away from him. I control everything he has now.” Zelina told her.
“That’s none of your business Zelina, you wanted his power and now you have it, let him live at least.” Amaya said, though she wasn’t looking at Dark directions.
“Suit yourself.” Zelina said and turned to face Chaos and others. “Chaos, our agreement.” She added with raised brows reminding the Demon.
Chaos nodded his head.
Raziah was surprised at the turn of events, everything that just happened felt like a dream to her but she knew this was reality. Dark bloody form on the ground angered her.
