HUNTER
I was exhausted as I sat in a chair and focused on the papers in front of me. As I thought about how many documents can I be read in such a short period, my head started to ache. Fuck!
“Do you think it makes sense for me to go through each of these individually? Crystal, you’re pushing things too far. It was too much for me to handle. Can I just take a rest?” I was expressing my frustrations to her, but all she did was shake her head.
She moved from behind me gently and massaged my shoulder. Before whispering, she even laid her chin on it before speaking softly.
“Hunter, don’t just complain. Keep in mind that this is the document that will help us in getting the wealth of the organization. That is the key that will allow us to start growing again. Don’t you like that to happen? So, babe, continue; I know you can do it,” she smiled and motivated me.
Even if this was the key to getting my money back, I still couldn’t afford to read without feeling bored, so I couldn’t start reading wholeheartedly. There’s too much paperwork, and I’m beginning to think like a lawyer.
“Why is it important for me to read this? Maybe you can, but you can still make other people do it even if you can’t. Crystal, it’s boring. I can’t let myself invest any of my energy into this. Just send me on my way to the mission,” I am irritated and grumble to her before slamming my hand on the table.
Before sitting on my lap, Crystal made more effort to get herself back into the balance of her emotions. She went to grab my cheek before looking at me with pleading eyes.
“Why would you choose to disregard it if it was going to be the key to our financial success? Hunter, we need to start our own family right away. You, me, and our future son. So don’t just quit and get tired,” she said while flashing a smile.
I just got annoyed by what she said. I pushed her hands away, and even though it was not how I would have liked it, I turned my attention back to the papers. There is nothing wrong with giving it a shot.
“Wait, do I see it right? Do we have any title to the land that we own in Palawan? I couldn’t believe what I had read today. It was so incredible. I cannot try to discover more about that place!” Crystal yelled and quickly snatched the piece of paper that contained the house’s legal information.
She couldn’t believe what she was seeing and gripped the page as tightly as she could. She was having a great time now. She even jumped a little bit, which caused my entire body to shake.
“Crystal, what in the world are you talking about? Don’t get too excited just because I’m reading something. I’m trying to concentrate. It makes no difference to me if that is the type of ownership you desire. I don’t care about anything else except having a luxurious car,” I firmly told her.
She continued to jump; I did nothing but take a deep breath. She was far a greater distance from Trinity. If she moves, the woman I am with today seems to be no maturity like a kid. Suddenly, I recalled my former partner while I was working on the mission.
“How are you doing, Trinity? Even though it’s been a few months since we last spoke, I still haven’t received any news from you. I’m sorry that I didn’t listen to what you said before. I regret leaving and not being there with you,” I whispered my words to myself.
Yes, I admit. Trinity is someone that I long for. When she is nearby, and we are arguing, or she is making fun of me, I can’t help but feel a little bit offended and awkward. I never imagined that I would come to appreciate her sexiness, but I also find myself wanting it. But it was now too late to realize what had happened.
“Hey, Hunter! Why did you just pause there all of a sudden? Have you envisioned the kind of family we will create together? Oh, darling, you’re going to be such a wonderful and attractive father to your little one. You are so sweet,” she happily said to me.
The things that she brought out completely blew my mind. When I have no self-control, I will punch her in the face with my fist. She has a slut face. She is far too proud of her good, and she is not even attractive at all.
“You just dream of being with me because when you open your eyelids, you wake up in a sad reality that I will not be yours. Stop this nonsense conversation. Let’s just concentrate on this pile of paperwork, shall we?” I explained to her and slightly kicked the chair near me.
After hearing what I said, the expression on her face changed. When she looked at me earlier, it seemed like she was trying to seduce me, but her eyes abruptly became sorrowful. She looked merciless in her look now.
“Hunter, I don’t understand why I find it so painful every time you talk to me? You didn’t even ask as to the reason I wanted you. Hunter, baby, I need a chance to love you. Please give me that opportunity. You will soon come to love me, so please don’t give up on us so easily,” she pleaded with me.
Because of what she’s talking about, I’m almost at the point where I’m going to get annoyed. Throughout the period that we’ve been together, they are the things that she’s consistently been interested in. Again and again, she expressed interest in starting a family with me. I’m sick with that.
“Crystal, you need to put a stop to this. I will have to leave the office because I don’t have much time to look at you. You already act like you are in command, so that role is yours now. Don’t worry, and I’ll be back,” I said to her before standing up and stretching my entire body.
I immediately turned my back on her and left the area while avoiding eye contact as much as possible. When I got to the second floor, I noticed that some colleagues were suspiciously looking at me. I just choose to ignore everything and not bother focusing on them at all. I don’t care what they are doing. I just want peace.
“Finally, I was able to breathe a sigh of relief. My life within the organization is so full of challenges that I cannot enjoy myself. Right now, I need to get my head cool first. I need to unwind,” I exclaimed and went into my black car.
With a grin on my face, I ran for it as quickly as possible and made my way out of the house where our colleagues were staying. Four months later, we discovered only a small amount of wealth. It is not easy because the thieves are extremely cautious in their operations.
“You must get ready. When I meet you, I will see that there is a place reserved in hell for you. I cannot forgive you for taking the money I worked so hard to get. So go ahead and enjoy the rest of the time you have left, for sooner or later, I will catch you all,” I whispered to myself and automatically tightened my grasp on my fist.
After several months of research, I discovered that most of the money that was reported missing was just in the pockets of our other colleagues. So, starting tonight, I will hunt down and kill a target. It’s time to get my payback.
“Trinity, don’t worry, I’ll do my best. I promise I won’t throw away all of our hard work in any form or aspect. No matter what happens, when everything is back to normal, I won’t stop looking for you until I find you.” I am determined in my goal to say to myself.
I grinned to myself as I gripped the car wheel and stopped in front of a store I’d been to. I turned the car on its side and parked it there before going down to get inside.
“How are you doing, sex killer? It’s been a very long time since you last visited this place. Your body has become slightly thin, and you now have large eyebags. Can I serve anything?” a woman asked, who was currently guarding the door.
I simply gave her a gentle smile, which calmed most of her worries. I know she is concerned about my health status, but it is meaningless at this point. I’m in urgent need of anything, and that’s the major priority right now.
“Bea, best not to worry about my condition too much. You are aware of the reason for my being here at this time. Show me the newest packages this store has to offer,” I asked her.
Just before she entered the room, she gave me a warm smile. While waiting for her, I sat down and looked around. Regardless of its size, this store has everything that I need.
“Trinity and I used to come here all the time. We had a great time admiring the great works, but I’m here alone now. Wait! Why do I keep coming back to Trinity? She has a life now that does not include me,” I asked myself before sitting on the bench.
Since Bea had not yet returned, I decided to flip through some of her magazines to pass the time. She was always up to date on the most recent events as she was a huge fan of magazines.
“What interesting things can I read today? It’s the same issue that was announced before, and it has to do with how evil people occupied the world. Infectious diseases, murders, criminal organizations, and everything else that pushes a person to act violently,” I whispered.
After that, I became interested in a specific publication. The article’s cover has a photograph of a young girl or woman. Because another magazine covered her face, I had to take that one away to see her completely.
“Hey, what have you been up to with that? Why did you make such a mess of my magazines? Why are you trying to move that if you dislike reading?” she asked with curiosity.
I just pretended not to see her and got on with the magazine. The images I saw were like having cold water poured over me all at once. My chest suddenly felt like it was going to explode. I had no idea what was triggering my sweats.
“No, that can’t happen!” I yelled, and the magazine almost fell out of my hand.
I was surprised as to why this was happening to me, but all of a sudden, I got a nervous feeling. I tried my best not to dwell on what had happened, but I couldn’t stop myself from doing so.
“Gosh, why did you get that? Give it to me right now. You should not have looked at it because it will only cause you pain in the end. Give it to me, as it truly belongs to me,” Bea yelled at me and then attempted to grab the magazine I was holding.
Because I had a loose grip on it, she could get a hold of it without much of a struggle. Maybe it’s because of the sadness I’m feeling right now. My eyes could not look at the picture for a long time because of the feeling that my heart had been broken.
“Hey, it hurts to have to find a way to deal with it, but that’s how her life is now. I had a feeling about it before. Sir, that comes so naturally to her, and we can’t deny that she’s happy with her life,” Bea explained.
I want to have a positive reaction to what I see. It’s only been a few months, but many changes have been made. She has grown into a different person; I do not recognize her. This has made her happy. And I’m sitting here trying to remember what happened in the past.
“She is now working as a model. She goes around with a new guy every single day. This is her life today, and there is nothing we can do to change that. Let’s just give her support, it will be enough to encourage and comfort her,” she added.
She brought a container made of wood to my seat and handed it to me immediately. She gave me a stare while smiling at me, and I realized that she was working on making me smile. She’s the only one I have right now.
“Here are the things you need, sir. Come back and talk to me if you need someone to talk to. I’ll listen to you,” Bea reminded me.
I tried to calm down by looking at what was in the box. I couldn’t help but smile when I saw that the weapons, I needed for tonight were here.
Suddenly, the store door opened, and a beautiful woman walked in. Her hair was tied back, and she wore a lot of jewelry. She looked gorgeous and was wearing a red dress.
Her every step could be heard all around because of her heels. I looked up and could barely speak to what was seen.
“I am thankful to you, Bea, for calling me. Hey there, Hunter! It seems you have a mission that needs to be completed later. Do you not plan to bring me along with you at any moment in time?” she gives a charming grin while playing with the placement of her expensive porcelain.
I didn’t think it was true. She came back. I finally saw the woman I was waiting for.
