Gabriella Monet POV
Six months later,
“I am going to kill you if you don’t come right away!” I yelled at Slade over the phone. “If you don’t show up right now, I won’t let you see your children,” I threatened him.
“Babe, let me…..” Slade tried to explain the reason why he was running late but my anger got the best of me as I threw my phone on the wall and growled out loud.
The babies were coming and they were trying to force their way out of my body. I had been in the room waiting patiently for Slade’s arrival as he had gone for a meeting with other leaders when the contraction hits me.
Ever since the slave rule ended, Slade made another rule stating that If there were to be other creatures later in the future, they would each have leaders but Slade remained the head of all the creatures. He also canceled the Slave trade making sure anyone who got involved is put to death.
Four months after the Slave rule ended, Slade and I got married and we were crowned as The king and queen of the creatures. Although the title comes with a price of a series of meetings, I was glad that the vampire rule had ended.
“I’m here!” Slade’s annoying voice sounded from the entrance of the royal infirmary. He rushed into the ward and held my hands. “I am sorry baby,” he apologized and kissed my forehead. “How are….”
“Don’t ask me how I am!” I screamed at him. Although I was happy to see him. I was going through extreme pain. That’s what happened when you try to push twins out of you. They were not ordinary twins but two vampire babies.
I already pictured my death once the twins were born. “Get the babies out of me!” I cried out in pain.
Two doctors entered the ward. I recognized the first doctor as Frank but I had no idea who the other doctor was. “We are ready your highnesses,” Frank announced.
“What?” Slade looked from Frank to the other doctor. “Are there no females doctor?” He asked. “I am not going to allow you deliver the babies if there are no female doctors.” He said possessively.
Has he gone crazy? I know his wolf was against two men seeing my nakedness but I was going to die any minute If I don’t push out the babies. “Haaaaa,” I yelled and grabbed Slade’s arm. “If you don’t get the babies out of me now, I’ll kill you myself,” I said through gritted teeth.
Slade rubbed his hand on his face and heaved a sigh. “go ahead but don’t try snooping around,” he warned.
I had no idea what he meant by that because all I wanted at that moment was to be free of the babies. “You have to use all your strength to push out the babies your highness.”
All of my strength? I don’t even think I had any more strength left. “Push….” I shouted out and gripped onto Slade’s arm. “I am never having vampire babies any longer!” I yelled.
“You’ll be fine,” Slade rubbed my head gently. “You are strong,” he encouraged.
I nodded in response and with all of my might, I pushed out the first baby. The cries of the baby resounded in the room.
“It’s a boy,” Frank announced.
The baby was handed over to the other doctor as Frank cut off the umbilical cord. “My child,” Tears flows freely in my eyes as I looked towards my child. “Oh!” I screamed out in pain as another wave of pain hit me. The second baby was coming and I knew I had to push again.
“I am going to die, “I cried out. ” I…..”
“I am here with you.” Slade kissed my forehead and wiped off the tears that had streamed down my face. “You can do this Gabriella,” he encouraged.
I nodded in response and groaned out in pain as I pushed out the second baby. The baby refused to cry, unlike the boy. “Is anything wrong with my child?” My heart raced my chest as I had thought that something was wrong with my child. I cried out thinking that I had lost my baby.
“Will you tell us now?” Slade demanded.
“There is nothing wrong with the baby. She is just refusing to cry. I bet she is a tough one,” Frank joked.
His jokes caused me to laugh when I realized that my children were fine, slowly, I dived into unconsciousness.
The next time I woke up, I heard voices whispering, and when I opened my eyes, I smiled when I heard Slade and Teale whispering to the babies. “What are you both doing?” I questioned both of them.
Teale laughed and walked towards the bed with my baby in his hand. “Will you like to meet your child?”
Of course. I nodded in response and stretched forth my hand. “She has your eyes,” Slade commented as he sat beside me with the other baby in his hand.
I stared at my children and smiled realizing that A crazy-ass like me had become a mother. It’s was so unreal because I had been against the vampires from the beginning but at the end of it all, I had two vampire babies. “Weki Nathan Donovan” I pointed to the boy. “And Okie Elizabeth Donovan,” I smiled at my daughter who was sleeping comfortably in my arms.
Slade didn’t argue about the names because we both had planned to give our children those names. We named our daughter after his mother. “I’m glad that you decided to name our children with those beautiful names,” Slade commented and kissed my forehead. “Thank you for these wonderful children.”
“Yeah, Gabriella. Your children are beautiful just like you ” Teale commented.
I nodded in response and smiled at him. “Okie, you are a beautiful princess.”
Okie cooed in my hand as if she had heard me. “I guess your daughter will become a great girl in the future,” I said to Slade and he didn’t say anything. He leaned forward and kissed me on the lips.
“You are the best Gabriella. I love you.”
“I love you too,” I responded and he leaned in to kiss me again. This time, the kiss lasted for a while and we forgot that we had our kids in our hands.
The vampire rule had finally ended and in the process, I found true love and a family that will always support me in the nearest future. This badass girl’s story finally ended like a fairytale.
