Anabella POV
I deserved everything that had happened to me. I deserved the humiliation, the pain, and the suffering I was going through. I lied against my sister and almost got her killed. If my mother hasn’t talked to me and changed my mind then I would have let my sister die. It shows the kind of person I was. I became an animal overnight.
“You okay?” Teale snapped his fingers on my face as I fluttered my eyes open.
“What happened? Where I’m I?” I looked around me and rubbed my eyes as I try to adjust to the white light in the room. Beside me were six blood bags drained of any blood.
Did I drink that? I thought.
“You fainted like four hours ago. You okay?” Teale asked yet again. Why does he care? I was not a good person and I didn’t deserve the care he was showing me. I deserve something much worse after all that I have done.
“Why are you caring for me?” My curiosity got the best of me as I questioned him about why he cared for me. I was not but a traitor who didn’t deserve a little bit of care.
“You are pregnant and I think I must have gotten into your head while you were asleep,” Teale answered.
“Got into my head?” I questioned. What does he even mean by that? How did he get into my head?
“You are not a full-blooded vampire so it’s given me the chance to get into your head. Anabella,” he called my name and grabbed my hand. “You’ve been blaming yourself your whole life but I don’t think you deserved all that you’ve gone through.” As he said those words, tears streamed down my face making me vulnerable in front of him. “I’m sorry I entered your head without your permission but while you were sleeping, you keep muttering incoherent words and the few I heard were about your sister Gabriella.”
More tears streamed down my face and I couldn’t find my feeling. I have hurt and my heartache for everything that had happened to me. “Everything will be alright,” Teale embraced me and gently pat my back as I cried in his arms.
It’s was the first time I ever cried in a man’s arm and it’s was also the first time a man had held me tightly without me fighting against him or trying to break free.
What’s was happening to me? When did I become a vulnerable girl?
I pushed Teale away and stood up from the bed in a haste. “I have to meet prince Slade now. I think I know where Xavier and Zepeda could be hiding.” I told him.
Teale heaved a sigh and stood up from the bed. He walked closer to me and grabbed my hand. “You need to rest Anabella. You will only hurt yourself,” he pointed at my belly. ” you are pregnant!”
“And while I continue to rest, the humans will die. If I don’t save them now then no one would. As long as Xavier and Zepeda are alive, no one is saved!” I walked out of the room not bothering to turn back and listen to him. The more time I waste, the farther they go away.
I walked through the hallways searching effortlessly For Slade. He was the only one who could restore balance to the world. “Hey,” I called a human girl I found in the hallway and asked about Slade. “Where is Prince Slade?”
The human don’t respond at first instead her eyes roamed all over my body. She eyed me suspiciously and when her eyes landed on my stomach, she smiled. “Your baby is almost here.” She said.
“Wha…. t” I placed my hand on my stomach and looked down.
“Your baby is destined to bring chaos to the world. She is going to ruin the world!” The girl said sounding creepy.
What does she know? How dare she gives a prophecy about an innocent child? I admit that Xavier was a bad man but I wasn’t going to let my child turn into a beast. “What do you mean?”
“The prince is in the lobby addressing everyone,” She replied with that instead and walked away.
I stood in the hallway staring at her back as she walked away. “You are going to be fine, My child,” I said.
I walked down the hallways and headed to the lobby. There I met a few humans and vampires. It’s was the first time humans and Vampires ever came together. I pushed my way forward and shouted Slade’s name. ” prince Slade,” I called.
“Anabella,” Slade responded and beckoned for the people to pave way for me. “Are you okay?” He questioned.
Why does everyone keep asking me that? “I am okay,” I replied. “I think I know where Xavier and Zepeda could be hiding,” I announced to everyone.
They all murmured amongst themselves and pointed fingers at me. “They are still in this castle,” I announced.
The murmuring started again and everyone thought that I had gone mad. “You sure?” Slade asked.
I nodded in response and gritted my teeth when I felt pain underneath my belly. I cried out in pain and held my stomach.
Slade rushed to my side and held my hand. “Are you okay?”
Instead of replying to the question he asked, I responded with. “There is a secret dungeon that leads outside the castle…” I clenched my jaws as another wave of pain hit me. “Find them. The secret hideout is on the ground floor of the castle. Find them and…..” I screamed out loud.
“I think her baby is coming!” Someone from the crowd shouted. An unknown Vampire rushed towards me and grabbed my hand.
“I need two women to help in delivering the baby.” The vampire requested.
Two humans came out from the ground and held onto my other arm. “Go….” I shouted at Slade. “Go find them,” I closed my eyes and screamed out in pain.
“Please save her and the baby,” Slade handed me over to the women who guided me out of the lobby into the royal infirmary.
The trip from the lobby to the royal infirmary was a crazy one as I screamed and stopped every two seconds. The baby was trying to force its way out and hurt me in the process. “Blood!” I was thirsty and I needed blood.
“Get me blood bags!” The vampire woman laid me on one of the beds in the infirmary. She cut open my clothe leaving me bare.
I was given blood bags which I consumed in a gulp. The baby was feeding on the blood as soon as it reaches my stomach causing me to grow hungrier. While the two humans feed me blood, the vampire woman encouraged me to push out my child.
And so I did, six hours later after kicking, yelling, and growling at the women, my Baby wailing echoed in the infirmary. “Katherine,” I announced her name to the women and let sleep engulf me.

Gabriella Monet POV
Multiple voices spoke all at once in my head. They were all saying one word. “Pick me!”
I had no idea of what they meant by that. Why did they all ask me to pick them? I had remembered dying but I was surprised at why and how I was still alive. The voice caused aching in my head and I thought that I was going crazy. What was happening to me?
“Gabriella,” A soft Solemn voice stood out amongst the multiple voices. “I am Carla, pick me as your wolf.” She begged.
“Who are you? What do you mean?” I questioned having no idea of what she meant by that. “What wolf are you?” I asked her.
The voices in my head grew louder and I winced in pain trying to block them all out. “You may go crazy if you refuse to let me in. ”
She was right, I was going crazy. My eyes were still closed as I fought against my subconscious mind. We were both at war and it was winning. “Choose me, Gabriella.”
I had no other choice so I picked her. I screamed out in pain. “Okay, I pick you!” My eyes fluttered open and I cried out in pain. My bone cracked painfully and I yelled out in pain. White furs appeared on my body and I felt inside the fire. It’s felt like I was getting burnt. I yelled and tossed on the bed. My hands and legs changed to furs and I howled to the ceiling. I shifted into a white wolf.
“What did you do to me?”
“It’s good to be back,” Carla purred. “I am your wolf Gabriella and I’m happy that you choose me.”
“Wolf?” I questioned. “How I’m I a wolf?”
My question got answered when the door leading inside the room burst open and Slade walked in between the door. “Don’t come close to me, I’m a wolf.” I covered my face with my paws.
“Gabriella, is that you?” Slade asked. He moved closer to me but I growled at him.
“Mate! Mate!” My wolf shouted in my head. “Don’t chase mate away,” Carla warned.
How dare she call my name as she owned it. “Gabriella, I know that’s you.” Slade moved closer to me and touched my furs. ” you look beautiful.” He commented.
“Touch mate,” Carla purred.
Seriously, what was her problem? “As much as I love seeing your wolf. Can you shift into your wolf?” Slade requested.
I responded by growling out. I didn’t know how to shift into my wolf even if I tried. I stretched forth my paws for him to take. He seemed to understand as he sat on the bed beside me. “Remember, the other day you help me shift. I’m going to help you shift.” He grabbed my paw. “Picture yourself as a human “he encouraged. “I’ll be here with you.”
I nodded in response and closed my eyes. “Let’s listen to mate.”
My bone cracked as I transformed back into my human self. “Slade,” I cried out and hugged him. “I thought I had died,” I sniffed.
“You are alive,” he ran his hand through my hair and kissed my forehead. “I won’t let anything happen to you or our children.”
“Children? I’m pregnant…” I questioned and he nodded in response. “How?” I asked him. “How I’m I pregnant,” I winced in pain as a memory flashed in my head. It’s was the memory of the vampires who slit my throat. “Where is Luciana?” I stood up from the bed not caring that I was stark naked and headed towards the door. “Why I’m I a wolf? How did I survive?” I placed my hand on my head.
Slade grabbed my hand and pulled me into his arms. “You’ll be fine,” he held me tight as I wept in his arms.
A few minutes later, I sat on the bed fully clothed while listening to Slade as he told me about how I died in his arms and how he woke up from the dead by turning me into a werewolf. “Thank you, Slade,” I said to him.
“You know I’ll do anything for you in a heartbeat,” he kissed my forehead. “I love you, Gabriella,” he confessed and leaned in to kiss me.
I welcomed his lips and we both got drowned in our feelings.
Maybe, the future has a lot for us in store.
