Chapter 475 Another Side of Baron

Book:Time Travel to Become Your Sweetheart Published:2024-5-28

Baron and Hazel went down the Ferris wheel. The rain was too heavy, so they did not stay there and went to a coffee shop instead.
Hazel liked to sit by the window. She looked at the rain with her hands cupping her cheeks. She rarely had such leisure moments.
“Baron, look at that man and the woman. He must love her very much.”
They were sharing an umbrella, and the man had put it closer to his girlfriend. Half of his shoulder was wet.
The woman’s smile was bright and lovely.
The window was a little blurry as the rain washed it. The rain fell from the eaves and looked like a curtain.
Baron drank his coffee and asked indifferently, “How did you know?”
“It’s obvious. Look at the umbrella.”
People would unconsciously lean the umbrella towards themselves. It was not that they were selfish, but because the view was different when they were holding an umbrella.
The man had half of his shoulder wet, so he must have been taking care of the woman.
“That is too romantic.”
Baron could not accept Hazel’s opinions.
He said, “If the man tends to focus on detail, he must have practiced many times and have learned a lesson from countless women. That is how he grasped the trick.”
“It is also possible that the man has done that just because he cares about the woman.”
“You could tell from his appearance that he should be around thirty years old.”
“A man should work hard if he falls in love with a woman. He doesn’t have to have a luxury car, but he should get an ordinary one for travel. How is he supposed to maintain a relationship if he doesn’t have good finances?”
“Perhaps this man’s family is not that well-off, and he has to support his parents and siblings. Therefore, he can’t afford a car or a house.”
“But why doesn’t he take a taxi in such bad weather?”
“And he didn’t buy one more umbrella. He has chosen to share it with the woman and deliberately wet himself to make the woman feel touched. Women are emotional and could be easily deceived by this kind of man.”
Hazel was stunned. She could not find a reason to refute Baron. She could only stammer, “Perhaps the place they are going to is not far away.”
After saying this, she shook her head and laughed.
What Baron said was right. How the man treated his girlfriend might have nothing to do with money, but with his attitude.
Baron’s analysis was very reasonable. Love had nothing to do with money, but money could indeed reflect a woman’s importance to the man.
Perhaps every woman had the dream of meeting her Mr. Right, and Hazel was no exception.
She enjoyed Baron’s kindness to her. But at the same time, she reminded herself that it was just a dream.
When she woke up from the dream, everything would go back to the beginning. She would still be an unknown actress with dreams and hardships.
“I need to go to Dave’s house to get something.”
Sometimes it was late when Hazel got off work. The mountain roads were rugged, so it was not convenient to return to the manor. Therefore, Baron prepared a house of 200 square meters for her in the city center.
The location was good, and the neighborhood was safe. It was a famous luxury district in City J.
The house was decorated in a modern style. The lines were clear and simple. It didn’t look luxurious, but comfortable and warm.
Everything in the house was prepared by the staff of the Floyd Group. And it had a reliable hourly employee for cleaning.
Hazel needed to move again, but she didn’t want to throw away her clothes. She prepared to put them in the basement cabinet. If one day she had to return to her old life, she wouldn’t have to spend so much money buying clothes.
“You can let Anna pack up your things and send them to the house.”
Baron shook his cup. He was not satisfied with the coffee shop.
The coarse coffee beans and freshly ground coffee could deceive those who didn’t understand coffee, but not him.
His requirements for food were specific, even to the point of harsh. And today he had found a random place just to shelter from the rain.
“I don’t think so.”
Hazel shook her head and made a call to Dave.
Anna was Hazel’s friend, not her servant. Although Hazel was Baron’s girlfriend in name, she couldn’t forget herself.
After the incident with Elva, she did not easily make friends. But she would treasure friendship very much.
Dave hadn’t answered the call.
Hazel waited for a long time before someone answered.
“Hello…”
It was a young woman’s voice. Hazel was stunned.
She quickly checked the screen. It was indeed Dave’s name.
If it wasn’t Anna, then who was on the phone?
“Please put Dave on the phone.”
Hazel was full of doubts, but she was very polite when she spoke.
“Hello.”
The woman let out a sigh of relief and smiled, “I don’t know Dave. He left his phone on the bus, and I happened to pick it up.”
It was a phone for work and had a lot of business contacts of the Floyd Group. Although it required a fingerprint to unlock, it was still dangerous because the person might try to get information from it.
Hazel asked for the woman’s address and expressed her gratitude. She decided to take back the phone personally.
When Hazel heard that Dave had taken a bus, she held back her laughter and looked at Baron. He immediately understood.
It must have been an uncomfortable trip for Dave. But the expensive Lamborghini only had two seats.
The address given by the woman was a piano training center, where she worked as a piano teacher.
Hazel was only a few kilometers away from there. A few minutes later, they met each other.
The woman had long hair and had worn a full-length dress. She remained elegant even in the stormy weather.
“Thank you so much.”
Hazel thanked her and chatted with her for a while.
The piano teacher was called Livia Berry. She spoke with a southern accent. It sounded familiar to Hazel. She asked Livia and found that they were from the same place.
Both of them felt excited and tears welled up in their eyes.
It was rare for Hazel to meet a woman from her hometown in City J, a big city. They chatted for a while and found that their homes were even near each other.
Livia returned the phone and winked at Hazel, “You should go back now. Your boyfriend is getting impatient.”
Baron was in the car at first. Then he got out of the car, leaned against the car door, and looked at Hazel expressionlessly.
Hazel was so excited that she had forgotten the time. And Baron was a bit angry.
“By the way, Hazel, tell Dave that I believe he didn’t harass that woman.”
Livia waved at Hazel meaningfully and watched her get into the car.
Hazel wondered, ‘Harassing a woman. What does she mean?’ She planned to ask Dave about it.
“Just give me the phone. I will give it to him tomorrow.”
Whether it was a man or a woman, when his girlfriend smiled at someone like that, Baron would feel very uncomfortable. But he would not admit that it was due to his desire to control.
“Don’t smile like that at people.”
Baron expressed his requirement to Hazel and then added, “Other than me.”
“Then what kind of smile should I wear? A bitter one or a sinister one? Should I sneer or laugh?”
Hazel rolled her eyes. Since they had an adventure at the Haunted House, they seemed to be closer. Baron was no longer a cold and expressionless president. At the very least, he had shown the other side of his character.
Hazel showed Baron all kinds of smiles vividly.
Baron’s face twitched, and the corners of his mouth curled up, but he suppressed his impulse to laugh.
He just wanted to maintain his poker face, but his face was stiff now.
