Glass house
When we got inside the gate, Bram was already standing at the main entrance waiting for us. Jonas opened the door of Ruby, then Bram took Milan’s carrier and waited for me to come down safely. Bram did not say anything but his lips were in a thin line. When the elevator opened for the second floor the nanny watched over Milan while I went to our room.
I opened the door to our room and yelped because Bram scooped me up from the back. Then he closed the door and kissed my neck, “I missed you,” he said as he put me down in front of our walk-in closet.
I thought he would be mad because we visited my mom. I was surprised when his aura changed all of a sudden, “How was the drive?” I asked him, then I opened my cabinet for house clothes.
“It was okay,” I heard Bram say as I pulled one cotton shirt and a cotton pajama from my closet.
“How far did you go?” I asked again while I got my underwear.
“We circled the Laguna de Bay,” Bram answered and then he followed me to the bathroom. I placed my clothes on the rack and got my toothbrush. I gargled water in my mouth and saw Bram was watching me. I spit the water and asked, “What?” Then I started to brush my teeth.
“We could shower together but based on the weather outside. I think you would say no?” Bram asked with a naughty smile.
I rinsed my mouth and responded, “Correct, no shower at this time, it’s freezing!” Then I continued brushing my teeth.
Both of us got startled when we heard a loud knock on our main door. It was Maria. She said that Milan was crying. Bram went to Milan so I could finish my night time routine.
Bram brought Milan to our room and I fed him while Bram and I continued the fantasy series that we were watching. When Milan fell asleep we brought him to his crib near our bed then we laid down too. It only took a few minutes and Bram was snoring already. I glanced at Milan’s crib to check if he was okay then I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep.
I gasped when I felt something wet licked my left nipple. I opened my eyes and saw what Bram was doing to me.
“What time is it?” I asked and closed my eyes again.
“I don’t know and I don’t care,” Bram answered then he kissed me on the lips, “I want you baby. Nothing is the same without you.” Then he slowly entered me.
It grimaced in pain because I was not ready. Bram cupped my left breast and kneaded it. Then he went in and out of me. We were both panting as he increased his pace and then we both moaned when we reached our climax. Bram slowly showered my face with kisses and did not get out of me.
“What do you mean by what you said earlier?” I asked Bram.
He frowned, then he slowly got out of me, “What do you mean?”
“You said nothing is the same without me?” I rephrased what he said.
Bram laid down on his side of the bed then he pulled me closer to him, “Well, I was with my friends, driving, doing what I love. And we were all laughing and joking around but it wasn’t the same. Maybe it’s just me, but I wanted the road trip to end early so I can go home to you and Milan.”
I smiled at him, “Who would not fall head over heels with Milan? He’s so beautiful.”
“His mom got me first,” Bram commented. We stared at each other for a moment then we both laughed.

We stayed at the resort after our very intimate beach wedding. Mama Credence and Aunt Calla shared a room. Then mom, Uncle Theo and his wife had their own rooms. I was watching Bram at the balcony as he pointed at the sunset for Milan. We were still wearing our post wedding clothes. I started to walk towards my boys. When Milan saw me he wanted to go to me. So I got him and I took Bram’s left hand and gave him a blue miniature MX-5 keychain.
He stared at it and frowned, “Lara does not have a number 2 on her hood, babe?”
I started to walk towards our air conditioned room, “I will give you a minute or two to get it.”
I slid the door and smiled because Bram did not follow me. I placed Milan on the bed and was about to check his diaper when Bram scrambled to the door. Milan got startled and crawled back to me.
Bram gulped, “When did you find out?”
I shook my head and smiled at Bram, “Three weeks ago. And that’s how long they made a miniature version of your car,” I said then I made Milan lie down again. I removed his shorts to check his diaper.
I was surprised when Bram hugged me from the back. I turned to him while Milan slowly stood up and clung to me. Bram was kneeling down the bed at my back. He rested his forehead below my nape, “I don’t know what I did to deserve you, Emma.”
My eyes pooled with tears and Milan looked alarmed then he started to cry too. I hugged both my boys while I laughed and cried at the same time. Bram wrapped his arms around Milan and me.

“When are you going to have a gender reveal party?” Aunt Calla asked on the other line.
“Bram and I decided not to have it this time,” I answered her, “This time we wanted to know it first then we will tell everyone.”
“That’s great! There’s nothing wrong in trying other things,” Aunt Calla commented, “Do you know the gender already?”
“Yes,” I answered her quickly, “We’re having a girl this time.”
“Congratulations, Emma,” Aunt Calla said, “Please say hi to Bram for me.”
“I will,” then we hung up.
I placed my phone on the center table and glanced at Milan’s playpen. Bram was lying down on the long sofa and I was seated on a single.
“Aunt Calla says hi,” I told Bram.
Bram nodded, “I’m glad she stopped seeing Brandon.”
My eyes widened, “How did you know this?”
“I know it because I can read minds,” Bram said with a straight face. Then he turned to see my irritated facial expression. He laughed and used his knees to walk towards me, “I’m joking, baby. Mum told me,” he added, then he kissed my baby bump.
I shook my head and glanced at Milan again. He was just playing quietly, “I hope Aunt Calla finds happiness.”
Bram nodded, “I hope so too.”
We both looked at the glass door of the balcony because it started to rain. Bram picked Milan up and we walked closer to the glass door. Milan’s eyes widened as he watched the downpour. I smiled and leaned on Bram’s left shoulder. Bram kissed my head and asked me, “Is this what I get from loving you?”
“Yup!” I answered and grinned at him.
“I’ll do it for life then?” Bram said then he wiggled his eyebrows.
I nodded with a smile, “You should!”
Bram lowered his face and kissed me on the lips.
