Chapter 50 Juvenile exchange

Wednesday
We slept at Bram’s condo after our meeting with Aunt Calla and Mama Credence. He woke me up at around six in the morning. He said that he wanted me to come with him but he did not give me the specifics. It was just the two of us and we used the MX-5. I turned to Bram’s when I noticed where we were headed.
This road would lead us to the Manila International Airport. But we did not follow the cars that were headed to the international flights, instead we went to a hangar. I shook my head and grinned. I only knew one pilot. About time that I get the explanation for Bram’s facial injury!
We got out of the car and Bram took my hand. We walked towards a parked seaplane. Where two uniformed individuals stood and appeared to be discussing something. We caught the attention of one of them. The woman who was facing our direction stopped talking and turned to us. This made the man who she was talking to turn to our direction too.
“You don’t need a human shield to see me, mate,” Connor said, sneering.
“Very funny,” Bram retorted, “We need to talk.”
Connor smiled, “What do you think we’re doing now?”
I rolled my eyes with their juvenile exchange of words. Instead of commenting I stared at the aircraft instead. I turned back to them when I heard Bram’s response.
“Do you want your colleague to know how you got your injuries?” Bram asked with sarcasm. My eyes widened with his statement. I glanced at the woman beside Connor.
“Bram!” I turned to my husband, “Don’t be rude!”
“Excuse me,” the woman said as she walked away from us.
“I’m so sorry,” I said to the woman. She smiled slightly at me and left.
When I turned to Bram and Connor they were both engaged in a staring contest. I placed my hands on my waist and said, “What is wrong with you two?”
“Why are you here?” Connor asked, then crossed his arms to his chest.
“You’re my plus one on Roland’s birthday celebration in Baguio,” Bram told Connor.
Connor frowned, “Who?”
“Roland is my younger brother,” I answered, “He wanted to celebrate his birthday with a staycation up north.”
Connor’s frown deepened. He switched his glances between Bram and me, “I don’t get it.”
“Just come with us,” Bram commented. Then he crossed his arms to his chest. He gave the seaplane a glance then turned back to Connor again, “It might prove your dumbass theories.”
Connor smiled mischievously, “I’m not the one who started throwing punches.”
Bram shook his head, “Punch in the face is necessary when a dumbass is being fucking judgmental.”
“When you punch a dumbass, mate, that means you’re worse than that dumbass,” Connor commented.
I took a deep breath, “Can you both stop saying that word?”
“What word?” Bram and Connor said in unison.
“Dumbass,” I said as I shook my head.
“It’s Connor’s middle name,” Bram said with an irritating smile on his face.
“You’re lucky that you’re married to a nurse,” Connor’s smile broadened, “She can help you with your wounded ego.”
I rolled my eyes again and said, “I’m going home!”
Bram and Connor laughed at themselves. Then Bram hugged me from the back, “So are you coming with us?”
“Whatever, man,” Connor responded and walked away from us, “I need to get back to work.”
When we were on our way back. Bram looked serious. He was so focused on driving. I was so confused because he was laughing with Connor at the hangar.
“Are you okay?” I asked worriedly.
“No,” Bram responded in a clipped voice.
I checked the time and it was just thirty minutes past nine in the morning. I stared at Bram’s face again, “Why the long face?”
Bram shifted the gear. Then he took my left hand and placed it on his crotch. He was having a hard-on under his slacks. I gasped and took my hand back, “What brought this?” I asked, shocked.
“Didn’t you notice how Connor stared at you?” Bram asked as he made a turn.
“No,” I answered as I stared at the road ahead, “I was too irritated to notice.”
“Nevermind,” he replied as he stepped on the gas.
When we reached his condo, Bram carried me to our room. He placed me on the bed slowly, lifted the lower part of my dress, then he removed my panties. He pulled down his lower garments and inserted himself into me. I moaned loudly with his every thrust. He held both my arms on the side of my head as I wrapped my legs around his waist.
“Remove your bra, Emma,” Bram told me. He released my hands and continued coming in and out of me.
He sucked each of my exposed breasts immediately. Then he went faster and faster. I closed my eyes and bit my lower lip, “Bram…”
Bram growled as I felt his warm release on me. I opened my eyes because he kissed me full in the mouth. He slowed his pace and looked into my eyes, “Maybe, I am a dumbass?”
I giggled at his statement, “Why?”
“Well, I just remembered you are pregnant,” Bram said. Then he shook his head.
I laughed out loud with his silliness, “A good-looking dumbass?”
Bram stopped and his expression changed. He was still inside me, “Sometimes I think I don’t deserve you.”
My eyebrows met in the middle, “Why?”
He placed his lips on my left ear and whispered, “Because you’re too good to be true.”
After a while, Bram told me to take a nap then he left for work. I only woke up because my ringtone filled the room, “Hello?” I whispered hoarsely.
“Maria’s there with you,” I heard Bram say on the other line, “I can’t eat lunch with you. I have a meeting.”
“Okay,” I responded lazily with closed eyes.
“And I might come home late tonight,” Bram added. This made me open my eyes.
“Why?” I asked curiously.
“I’m going to meet Connor,” Bram answered.
“That’s nice,” I smiled, “Have fun with Connor and please no throwing of punches, okay? Violence is not the last resort.”
“It depends…” Bram responded.
“On what?” I asked as I fixed my blanket.
“Nothing,” I heard Bram say on the other line, “Did you see his face?”
I closed my eyes and shook my head as I recalled Connor’s face. His cut was already healed too. But he also had some scratches on his jaw, “You should not be proud of inflicting pain on people, Bram.”
“Mixed martial arts injury is much worse,” Bram commented.
“Just don’t get hurt and don’t hurt anyone,” I told him.
“Are you going to miss me?” Bram asked playfully.
“Oh my God!” I exclaimed, exasperated, “I’m going to hang up now.”
Bram laughed on the other line, “I’m going to miss you, Emma.”
“Stop it,” I said laughing, “You take care, okay?”
“Okay,” Bram responded, “See you in a bit!”
