It was not the wine that intoxicated but the drinker who got herself drunk.
Hazel yawned and wanted to find a place to lean against. She tilted her head and happened to lean against Baron’s shoulder.
Dave casually took a glance when he was drinking, and he almost spat out the wine in his mouth.
Dave thought, ‘What a shameless woman!’
The reason why Dave complained about Hazel was that Hazel always did shocking things but didn’t give Dave time to get prepared mentally.
Dave wondered, ‘What should I do if the wine is really spat out? The champagne is so expensive. Should I lick it on the carpet?’
“I’m so dizzy.”
Hazel was still conscious, but she didn’t have any strength. Leaning against Baron’s chest, Hazel was not very comfortable. The muscles on Baron’s chest were too hard.
Baron despised Hazel for being too greedy.
If it was anyone else, Baron would immediately leave and teach the greedy person a lesson.
But right now, Baron didn’t move at all.
Sitting there, Baron could look out the window. There was an emergency escape.
If the rescue plane arrived, Baron could leave immediately. Furthermore, if someone broke in from the door, Baron could defend himself in time because he kept alert.
“Give me a pillow.”
Hazel muttered uncomfortably as she looked in Dave’s direction. If she was sober, Hazel would definitely be shocked by her own actions.
“Are you ordering me?”
Dave couldn’t believe that, widened his eyes, and pointed at his nose to make sure.
Dave thought, ‘This woman must be crazy. She hasn’t become Mr. Floyd’s girlfriend yet, while she is bossing me around now.’
Dave turned to look at Baron and found that Baron was concentrating on levering Hazel’s fingers with his pen.
Dave thought to himself, ‘Hazel is drunk now, and her real nature is exposed. What a flirtatious woman.’
“Mr. Floyd, should I…”
Dave turned around and looked at the bodyguards. The two bodyguards were expressionless and stared at the door.
“Go find a pillow for her.”
Baron was impatient and hoped that Hazel would stop bothering him after getting the pillow.
‘Since I met this woman, I have always been unlucky. I even encountered aircraft hijacking this time,’ thought Baron.
“What?”
Dave couldn’t understand what he had just heard and exclaimed.
Dave wondered, ‘What did Mr. Floyd just say? Did I hear it right? Why is he so good to this crazy woman?’
Dave put down his wine cup reluctantly. He wandered around. Finally, Dave found a small cushion in the top cabinet.
“Hold this cushion and stay away from me.” Baron stuffed the cushion to Hazel impatiently, frowning.
“Okay.”
Hazel answered unconsciously. She pinched Baron’s face and muttered, “Well, it’s a bit hard but elastic.”
Baron became sulky in an instant.
Dave wanted to laugh but didn’t dare to, covering his stomach to hold back his laughter, making his face red.
Dave thought, ‘Of course, crazy people have privileges.
Originally, I was worried because of being kidnapped. But now, I’m amused by this funny scene.’
“Mr. Floyd, why don’t you just throw her on the ground?”
Dave came up with an idea that was not very brilliant. The plane was not shaking at this time. In the worst case, Hazel would just roll on the ground.
Baron also wanted to throw Hazel to the ground, but he wasn’t strong enough to get rid of Hazel’s hands.
Her hands were as sharp as an eagle’s claws. And Baron finally knew what women’s long nails could do. Hazel’s long nails were used as a weapon. Baron and Hazel fought. There were red and swollen marks left on Baron’s tan arms.
“Mr. Floyd, can’t you get her hands off you?”
There was obvious suspicion in Dave’s eyes. If he got serious, Baron could easily defeat the two bodyguards at the door. Seeing that Baron couldn’t get rid of a woman, Dave believed that Baron really liked Hazel.
Baron felt extremely depressed because of Dave’s bold question.
Baron also did not understand why it was so hard to put Hazel on the carpet.
But Dave’s suspicious attitude made Baron feel insulted.
Thus, Baron impulsively shouted, “Put up or shut up!”
After Baron said that, the cabin became silent. Even Plum Blossom’s people outside the door stopped talking.
Hazel opened her misty eyes, thought for a moment, and nodded at Dave.
“Mr. Floyd.”
Baron was angry, and it wouldn’t be good.
Dave felt bitter. Baron looked indifferent, and in fact, he had no emotions. Very few people could irritate him.
And once Baron was irritated, the consequence would be serious.
Dave wanted to kneel on the ground and cry. In the past, a fortune-teller had warned Dave to watch his mouth. Now, it proved that the fortune-teller was right.
To be exact, Baron was not angry but ashamed. He wasn’t the kind of person who would say such childish words.
Baron had spent a lot of time with playful friends like Roger. He had heard a lot of stupid things. Therefore, Baron said that unconsciously.
Fortunately, it was not during the meeting. Otherwise, Baron would be embarrassed.
He wasn’t a generous man. Baron remembered that in his mind, blaming Hazel, Dave, and Roger who was having fun.
Meanwhile, Roger, who Baron blamed, was in a bar, dancing wildly to music and surrounded by a group of hot beauties.
Roger sneezed twice. A beauty wearing a bikini laughed, “Mr. Garnett, are you okay?”
“I’m fine. Thank you for asking, Amy.”
Roger took a look at his watch, yawning lazily and sexily.
Roger was a playboy and loved freedom, very attractive to girls. Countless women were attracted to him.
Roger had clarified that he was a loner and didn’t want to get married. Even so, women were crazy about him.
They would be happy even though they could only have Roger for a moment.
Most of the rich men had become weak because of too much alcohol and sex. They were usually fat and not as charming as Roger.
Roger looked noble, and when he was in a bad mood, he was like a prince imprisoned in a tower.
“I care about you.”
The woman, Amy Lopez, smiled charmingly. She often fooled around and drank with people in bars. Amy knew what to say to flatter people.
She did not know about Roger’s background.
But Amy noticed that Roger came to the bar a few times and drove different luxury cars every time, each one of which cost at least millions.
Roger was handsome, rich, approachable, and humorous. Amy found it difficult to not be attracted to such a charming man.
She knew that Roger was merely having fun. Even if he wanted a confidante, Roger wouldn’t choose a sluttish girl like Amy.
“Then, thank you for caring about me.”
Roger raised his glass with a faint smile on his face. No one would hate being cared about.
In Roger’s life, there was no failure.
The only time Roger suffered a setback was when his fiancée ran away because she was dissatisfied with being engaged to Roger.
It made Roger embarrassed, struck his pride, and let him become a joke among the rich people.
Roger was not interested in the beneficial marriage either. He would also escape. Roger was just upset that his fiancée did that before him.
Because of that, Roger’s friends mocked him for being abandoned.
Roger was patient but not generous. He wouldn’t let it go. Roger was determined to take revenge on his arrogant fiancée.
