Ryder left after promising Marina he would do something about it.
Ryder could not figure out what kind of role Maeve played.
William was a man with deep thoughts. Otherwise, William would not have become the president of the Duncan Group. However, ever since William and Jane were almost shot, William didn’t seem to take business so seriously anymore.
Maeve listened to William, but she was only a secretary at the branch, so there was no way she caused all this.
“Kenny, go and investigate the project that Marina mentioned.”
Ryder gave Kenny a call and said.
“Mr. Langdon, it might be a little too late. Mrs. Langdon still doesn’t know that Shawn and Maeve have already arrived in City J and are heading straight for the signing site.”
Searching for clues required time, and it was too late.
“Didn’t Shawn tell Marina that he was in City J?”
Ryder frowned. Shawn and Marina had always had a good relationship. Shawn should know that Marina had come to City J, but he didn’t tell her. What did this mean? The project was in a hurry, and Shawn had a clear purpose. He came to sign the contract, and Maeve followed him.

Ryder revealed a cold smile. Shawn was stupid and would die sooner or later on a woman.
“Mr. Langdon, what should we do next?”
Kenny believed that even if the White Group was cheated in the project, it had nothing to do with the Langdon family. There would be no conflict, but they had to watch out for Maeve in the future.
“In ten minutes, come to me. We will go to the signing site.”
Ryder rubbed his eyebrows. Ryder promised Marina to help, so he couldn’t go back on his word. Otherwise, it would prove that he could not be trusted!
Kenny was surprised and hung up the phone in silence.
“Mr. Langdon must be out of his mind! Why did he have to get involved in this mess? Would Shawn think we were kind?” Kenny thought.
Half an hour later, Ryder and Kenny arrived at the signing site. The two sides had already begun to proceed with the signing procedure.
Shawn held the pen and looked at Maeve with a smile. Then, Shawn was about to sign.
“Wait!”
Ryder suddenly appeared, and everyone was stunned, including Maeve.
Maeve bribed a junior secretary at the Langdon Group, so Maeve learned that Ryder would be staying abroad for the next few days, so she could take a leave without worry and accompany Shawn to City J to sign the contract.
When Ryder suddenly appeared, Maeve was upset. Maeve lowered her head to avoid looking at Ryder.
“Ryder, why are you here?”
The signing ceremony was interrupted, so Shawn was annoyed. Shawn suspected that Ryder was here to cause trouble.
“Can’t I come?”
The White family was indeed a nouveau riche. They only had money but no brains. Was it all luck that the Whites were able to make their company prosperous?
Shawn did not speak. He guessed Ryder might want to steal the project from the White family. What a cunning man!

Maeve and the project manager looked at each other. Then, Maeve said, “Mr. Langdon, can you wait a moment if you have something to discuss with Mr. White?”
As long as Shaw signed the contract, even if Shaw and Ryder were hospitalized for fighting, it had nothing to do with Maeve.
If the project was signed successfully, Maeve would have at least ten million in return. Moreover, Shawn would listen to her every word, so Maeve was not worried that Shaw would go back on his word.

Shawn left angrily. Maeve wanted to chase after him, but she stopped.

“Ms. Aston, the project…”
The project couldn’t be ruined. Otherwise, where could she find another fool?
“Mr. Langdon, what do you think…”

Maeve was a tricky woman!
“Shawn was supposed to sign the contract today, so I’ll see you some other time. Otherwise, the others will think I’m taking advantage of Shawn.”
Ryder had his own considerations. Ryder asked Kenny to contact the person in charge, and he had already called the top lawyer team of the Langdon Group. Ryder and Marina would not divorce, so the lawyer team should go to City J to investigate and collect evidence to try to send Maeve to jail as soon as possible.
