Marina wanted to stay in the Langdon family for one more night and then left with Nicole the next day.
In the afternoon the next day, Marina began to pack up. Mary’s cloakroom was filled with clothes that didn’t match Marina’s taste, so Marina didn’t mean to take all of them away.
She just took a few dresses that were suitable for the banquet and then packed things for her daughter.
Marina couldn’t take too much luggage with her nor did she want to have someone carry it. Anyway, she had money, and she could buy whatever she wanted.
Kayden sent a few maids over to keep an eye on Marina. However, these maids didn’t mean to help her as they knew that Marina was kicked out because she had offended Kayden.
“Mrs. Langdon, are you leaving?”
Todd happened to drop by and saw Marina packing things.
Todd didn’t work for the Langdon family or the Langdon Group. He was hired by Ryder as a private driver, so he didn’t listen to the Langdon family.
“Alright, let’s go now.”
Marina went upstairs with a small bag, thinking about whether she should go back to the White family or find a bigger apartment downtown.
In the end, she chose to find a luxurious house with high privacy. The White family was halfway up the mountain, so it was not very convenient for her daily life.
Nicole was old enough to go to kindergarten. Previously, the Langdon family had hired a few family teachers for her, but Nicole had difficulty in learning.
The child’s childhood should not be bound to the small world. Marina thought that with a playmate and patience, Nicole would get better.
Therefore, Marina let Nicole go to a kindergarten with a warm and friendly environment instead of those for wealthy families.
Marina made the decision herself. She had not discussed it with Ryder.
“Mr. Langdon told me to listen to your arrangements,” said Todd.
He put the luggage into the trunk.
“Hey, look at what I saw. Why is Miss White being kicked out?”
Bailey was delighted when she heard Claudia say that Marina was ready to leave the Langdon family and she hurried over to see the fun.
Marina left with only a little luggage. No one would be poorer than she was.
“The bitch always goes against me. Now she is kicked out of the Langdon family. Does that mean Mr. Langdon is going to teach Marina and Ryder a lesson?” thought Bailey.
Bailey stopped smiling and said with pity, “If you beg me, maybe I’ll be kind and intercede Kayden.”
But Bailey just wanted to see Marina being humble.
“Will you be that kind? And are you sure you have the ability to change Kayden’s mind?”
Marina sneered and held her daughter in the back of the car.
“Todd, let’s go,” Marina ordered expressionlessly.
Before she left, Marina looked at Bailey through the car window with contempt.
Bailey was stunned. Before Marina left, Bailey collected her sense and stomped her feet in anger. “The slut is so harsh!”
The maid beside held back her laughter and quickly lowered her head, afraid of angering Bailey.
Marina ridiculed Bailey for her bad intentions, and laughed at her for thinking too highly of herself, and was too proud to think she could change Kayden’s mind.
Bailey was furious, feeling that Marina was getting harder and harder to deal with.
When she left the Langdon family, Marina didn’t look back. She didn’t want to stay in this cold cage for a single minute.
“Mommy, are you taking me out to play?”
Nicole went out for a trip once and loved playing. When she learned that she left home, she was not unhappy.
“Mommy has to find a place for us first and then play with Nicole, OK?”
Marina touched her daughter’s head and felt warm. As long as they left the Langdon family, Nicole would definitely get better and better, and Marina would try her best to be a mother and accompany Nicole to grow up.
Marina checked the navigation with the phone and finally settled in an apartment in the downtown bustling area.
The apartment had two floors and was about 700 square feet. It was spacious for Marina and Nicole, and there were two more rooms.
“Here we are, the Maple Community.”
Taking into consideration traffic, the surroundings, and the scenery, the Maple Community was a good place to live.
The entire community was surrounded by a river in Jin City. Living on the high floors, Marina couldn’t see the maple forest in autumn. And the community was very quiet.
“Mr. Langdon gave me a few keys to the villas and told you to choose one.”
Todd was surprised that Marina didn’t live in a mansion villa. Although the Maple Community was a high-end residential area, it was incomparable to a single villa.
“Nicole is going to kindergarten. I don’t want her to travel too far every day.”
This was not the main reason. Marina chose to live here because she felt secure.
She and Ryder could divorce at any time, and she didn’t want to move for the second time.
Todd didn’t say anything about Marina’s choice.
This community was quiet, and the management was very strict. Only the owners were allowed to enter the community.
This was what Marina was satisfied with.
She showed the security guard the certificate and the transfer record of the property fee and then returned home under the puzzled eyes of the security guard.
Although the house was not occupied, the White family had a specialized team to maintain it. They would clean it several times a month, so the house was spotless.
“Miss White, do you want to ask someone to come and tidy it up?”
Todd stood at the door and hesitated for a moment before asking.
“No, I can do it myself.”
Marina waved her hand. It was a sense of accomplishment to arrange the place she wanted to live in.
After Todd left, Marina began to visit the layout of the whole house, and she was very satisfied with it.
The guest room was on the first floor, which could be used as a studio. The second floor was her bedroom with Nicole. It was simple and warm and luxurious.
Marina looked up at the crystal lamp above her head, which Mary had spent a lot on and had it transported back from abroad.
Fortunately, the decoration of the house was not as luxurious as the White family was. Otherwise, Marina wouldn’t handle the cleaning job.
It was equipped with daily facilities, so Marina didn’t need to buy anything. But there might be no one living in the house for a long time, it smelt uncomfortable.
Marina opened the window for ventilation. Seeing that the fridge was empty, she planned to go out and buy ingredients.
In the future, she would cook for Nicole every day. No one could be picky about her eating habit, and she could occasionally eat take-out or junk food.
Marina sat on the sofa and breathed a sigh of relief. Compared with the leather sofa, she preferred cloth, which was more comfortable.
“Mommy, I’m hungry,” said Nicole.
Nicole’s stomach growled.
Marina stood up immediately. It was too late to buy ingredients and cook now. She had to eat outside with Nicole.
