When Marina and others went upstairs, Bailey struggled to shake off Gage’s hand, and her eyes were full of contempt. She said, “You guys make me sick.”
“Mom,” Claudia frowned in disagreement, “Ryder and Jane have a good relationship now. You should speak less.”
Looking at how Ryder was protecting Jane, Claudia thought that she had to find time to ask Marina about this.
Gage’s expression was extremely ugly. He said, “Don’t talk about the past anymore.”
Recently, he felt that his right had been taken away. Colin knew but did not stop. It seemed that he was going to live off of Ryder.
Bailey sneered, tidied up her clothes, and raised her head arrogantly, “You’re afraid of him, but the Sage family is not afraid of him.”
“I’m not joking with you,” Gage said sternly. She had never seen Ryder’s methods in the business world before, and they were very ruthless.
“Gage, you can be a coward. But I won’t lower my head like them,” Bailey said in disagreement, and then left.
Gage sighed. It seemed that he couldn’t live the rest of his life peacefully.

Marina followed Ryder to the third floor. When Ryder entered the room, she was in a dilemma.
This room seemed to be the wedding room where the female lead and Ryder married. Other than the night of the wedding, Ryder slept in the study next door.
The female lead had been living in this room before she was driven to the small house. Marina wondered why Ryder had suddenly entered this room.
Nicole ran out and saw Marina in a daze at the door. After hesitating for a moment, Nicole walked behind Marina and pushed her into the room.
“What are you doing?” Ryder asked.
“No … nothing.” Marina shook her head awkwardly.
She could not say did Ryder wanted to reconcile with the female lead.
It was impossible. No one can accept cheating, not to mention that Ryder has a cleanliness problem.
After comforting herself, Marina felt much more relaxed.
“Aren’t you tired?” Ryder handed her the towel in his hand.
Marina’s eyes moved back and forth between the gift and the towel. Finally, she put down the gift and took the towel to wipe her hands. “Thank you,” said she.
Ryder’s eyes darkened. He sat down on the sofa and opened the gifts. As if he did not see Marina’s restrained appearance, he said casually, “Nicole has always lived here.”
She was wondering why Ryder would take a step here. It turned out that Nicole lived here.
Nicole was the most considerate, always thinking about her. Marina felt warm in her heart.
She sat cross-legged on the carpet, her hands holding her chin on the tea table as he curiously looked at the gift in Ryder’s hands.
His hands were good-looking. They were white and slender, even better than the hands in the comics.
Nicole imitated Marina and looked at Ryder opening the gift.
Coming back to his senses from Marina’s unrestrained behavior, Ryder’s eyes looked at them, and his eyes unconsciously became gentle.
The corners of his mouth raised slightly, making the expression on his face a little more vivid, and there was no longer the sense of distance.
In fact, Nicole did not need to guess about the gifts. Every year, Ryder gave her a custom-made hairpin, but as long as it was given by Ryder, she liked it.
“So beautiful.” The moment Ryder took out the hairpin, Marina felt her heart beating.
It was so beautiful. There were little shiny pink diamonds around the hairpin. No woman would not be touched seeing this.
“Do you like it?” Ryder turned the hairpin in his hand and looked at Marina who looked eager.
Marina giggled and shook her head, “This is not suitable for me…”
Before she could finish, the hairpin was directly clamped on her head by Ryder, and then he nodded with satisfaction, “It’s beautiful.”
Marina came back to her senses in shock and wanted to take it down, but Nicole grabbed her arm and nodded happily, “Beautiful!”
“Since Nicole says it is beautiful too, keep it,” Ryder said.
“That’s not good,” Marina said. This was the birthday present for Nicole, not for her.
Ryder thought for a moment, nodded, and said seriously, “Then let’s go to the amusement park with Nicole tomorrow.”
Marina was shocked.
She thought it was a trap.
Compared with Marina’s dilemma, Nicole was happy. She jumped up and climbed up to Ryder. Then she kissed Ryder.
She was so happy because she could finally go to the amusement park with her parents, like other children.
Ryder carefully observed Marina’s expression and whispered, “You don’t want to go?”
Marina quickly waved her hands and looked frightened. Ryder’s voice was obviously lower. If she dared to say no, she would die miserably.
Marina felt bitter in her heart.
Ryder picked up Nicole and stood up. He said, “Let’s go. It’s time to eat.”
“OK.” Marina hurried to follow him.
When they went downstairs, Colin, Gage and the others had already sat down, waiting for them to eat together.
Marina did not expect that she sat opposite Mike so coincidentally.
To reduce her presence, Marina buried her head in her food and ate only what was in front of her.
She thought that everything would be fine, but Ryder gave her food suddenly, which instantly made her the focus of attention.
“Eat more meat. You’re so skinny,” he said.
Marina looked at the extra piece of meat in the bowl sadly. She didn’t lack this piece of meat.
Ryder leaned into her ear, his voice low and charming,” It’s just a piece of meat, there’s no need to be so touched.”
Marina wanted to tear Ryder apart on the spot.
Marina didn’t bother to pay attention to Ryder. She lowered her head and bit the meat hard.
She could tell that Ryder was doing this on purpose.
Starting from today when he called her to the main house, then he used various ambiguous hints to make Marina, who was trying to keep a low profile, a thorn in the side of others again.
“Ryder, please be a person!” she thought.
