Ryder suddenly appeared and sounded cold. Marina was scared and kept her distance from him carefully.
Ryder saw through her trick. He smiled slightly and stuffed Nicole into her arms before walking in. “It’s your turn.”
Marina was stunned for a moment. When she realized from shock, Ryder already turned around and went in. She pursed her lips and looked into Nicole’s innocent eyes. Then she immediately smiled. “I’m not cursing your father…”
After saying that, she suddenly felt it was unnecessary. She giggled at Nicole who was ignorant and then was going to catch up with Ryder.
At the gate, she bumped into someone who hurried out. He seemed very anxious, so Marina stood aside to let him pass with Nicole in her arms.
Mike walked a few steps and then stopped as if something occurred to him. He turned and walked to Marina with a frown. Then he asked coldly, “Are you bullying Nicole?”
Although Marina wasn’t disposed to argue with him who was two years younger than her, she couldn’t help it upon seeing Mike who got aggressive. She angrily turned around and avoided him snatching Nicole. She sounded cold, “Don’t be rude. I am Ryder’s wife.”
“You are not.” Speaking of this, Mike burst into anger. “You seduced Ryder. You’re the most shameless I’ve ever seen.”
Marina frowned and retorted explicitly. “Since I’m so shameless, then why did you write love letters to me?”
Mike was Claudia’s younger brother and his father was Gage. He was in the same university as Marina. Claudia intended to fix them up back then.

Nicole pursed her lips and pushed Mike away. She would never play with him again. “Dad … dad…”
Seeing Ryder standing behind Mike, Nicole seemed sad with tears in her eyes. Then she reached out and wanted Ryder to hug her.
Ryder walked over but ignored Nicole. Instead, he stood beside Marina and looked at Mike with a gloomy face. “Why are you still here?”
Seeing that Ryder put his arm around Marina’s waist, Mike looked away. He nodded blankly and hurried away without answering.
“You don’t want him to go?”
Marina took a deep breath and looked into the man’s deep eyes. She shook her head firmly lest he would break her waist if she said something unpleasant.
Marina thought for a while and suddenly realized, “Ryder is extremely possessive about everything. Now I’m still his wife and belong to him. So he must be in a bad mood when he saw me chatting with other men.”

Colin sat calmly on the sofa with his hands on his walking stick. His sharp eyes lingered on Marina for a moment before shifting his gaze to Ryder disapprovingly. “Why do you bring her here?”
“She is Nicole’s mother. She should be here.” Ryder held Marina’s hand tight and said.
Colin frowned and looked narrowly at Marina who was exceptionally quiet. He warned seriously, “Don’t make trouble.”
Marina didn’t like the way Colin spoke to her. He just treated her as an enemy.
She thought, “According to the novel, the female lead should get along well with Colin. Even if she made a mistake, he couldn’t be so bad to her. Maybe there’s a misunderstanding or something else going on.”
