Victorino nodded, “Hmm”.
Severo lifted his chin slightly, the corners of his eyes lifted as he spat out one word coldly: “Answer me.
Victorino picks up the phone and consciously turns on the public address system.
As soon as the call was answered, Allyce’s anxious voice came through the phone: “Dr. Griego, Severo has disappeared!
Allyce had already returned to Solares Castle and searched both upstairs and downstairs, but there was no sign of Severo.
I have also asked the maid at the door, but it is true that Severo has not yet returned.
Xabat also called her and told her that he had not found out where Severo was at the moment either.
The more time passed, the more restless he became.
He was worried that something had happened to Severo.
But he forgets that Severo has mental problems, but that doesn’t affect his ability to handle things.
With a rush on his mind, he called Victorino.
“Where do you think he’s going? I was told he went to a function, but he wasn’t even wearing his Xabat, and besides, since when did that guy like to function …”
Technically, Allyce and Victorino don’t know each other very well, and if it weren’t for Severo she would have had very little contact with him, so she was probably so anxious about Severo that she talked like a bean, fast and incessantly.
Victorino listened without moving to look at Severo.
Severo was standing next to him, his gaze somewhat vacant, and it was evident that all his attention was on the call.
“Hello? Doctor Griego, are you there?” Allyce was anxious and became even more anxious when she spoke and heard no response from Victorino.
Victorino did not respond immediately, but merely looked up at Severo.
It was clear that he was waiting for Severo’s instructions.
Severo’s brow furrowed slightly and he gave Victorino a slightly stern look.
Victorino understood and replied: “Don’t be too hasty, it might be too much trouble for the master to bring someone else…”.
“But I don’t feel comfortable with his condition, what if he shows his face in front of the others, I have to find him”. Victorino’s words reassured Allyce, but her concern remained.
Victorino sniffed and looked at Severo again.
Severo gave him a cold look and, without saying anything, looked down and took out his own phone.
He pressed the power button and the screen lit up immediately, and before he could scroll down the lock screen he saw a missed call alert.
The corner of his eye twitched imperceptibly, and with a flick of his thumb across the screen, he opened it, and the missed calls were all from the same person: Allyce.
Only the note is a wife.
Severo made a plucked call.
Victorino was right next to him and assimilated his actions.
He recalled that he was once asked to see an elderly man suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.
What the old man liked best of all was his little granddaughter. Every time she went to see the old man, he would mention her name, and in the evening she would walk trembling to the kitchen, saying her name, that she was leaving school and that she would have to cook for her.
And his youngest granddaughter has long since finished her studies and is married with children.
A few minutes ago, Severo had choked him as if he wanted to strangle him, and now, just hearing Allyce’s anxious voice, he had taken the initiative to call her.
“Ah!”
As soon as Severo’s call was answered, Allyce shouted from Victorino’s phone, “Severo is calling!”
As soon as he finished, Victorino’s phone hung up.
He raised his eyebrows slightly and looked up at Severo to find him talking: “The food in this restaurant is awful, for dinner, I’ll have the fish with spring onions and oil.
I don’t know what the person on the other end of the line said, but Severo’s face slowly relaxed and his eyebrows lightened as if he was about to smile.
Victorino marvelled at the magic of love and quietly retired to tidy up the things Severo had overturned when he had thrown him out earlier.
Severo quickly hangs up the phone.
As he turned his head to see Victorino tidying things up, his eyes deepened: “Get out of here”.
Victorino’s movements falter and he says nothing as he quietly rises from the floor, not knowing what he is thinking.
Severo added: “Explain yourself before you go, and then don’t have contact with her again.
She doesn’t need Allyce to worry about her condition all day.
She should be comfortable and happy with him.
This is what he had in mind, but it was not always possible.
There are many things that cannot be controlled.
For example, the Solares family has a history of mental illness and, unfortunately, he is the one who has had an episode.
There are times when he is awake and knows what he is doing, and there are times when he has absolutely no control over himself.
I had always thought that if you couldn’t control yourself, you couldn’t do anything.
Therefore, their self-control has been very good.
Twice in his life, he thought, he had lost control.
One is for Allyce and the other for the inescapable family history of mental illness.
Victorino quickly realised what Severo meant and his face suddenly changed as he exclaimed: “Impossible!
Severo had already turned to leave and at Victorino’s words, without looking back, he said: “I command you as chief”.
Victorino was not good at persuasion and did not know what to say, he just kept calling him back, “Sir!”
“It’s my business, I’ll take care of it myself, it’s none of your business, so take care of it and leave as soon as you can.”
Severo finished and walked straight out, without giving Victorino a chance to speak again.

When he returned to Solares Castle, Allyce was in the kitchen preparing fish and onions.
He was cutting onions, but his movements were a little distracted, and he didn’t even notice that Severo had entered.
Severo walks cautiously behind her and, as he looks down, he can see the side of her serene pink face, her red lips slightly pursed, her slender fingers puckering the handle of her knife, cutting the onions one by one, her whole body seemingly lost in thought.
“I have no appetite for human fingers”.
At the sound of the man’s voice, Allyce’s grip on the knife slipped and she nearly cut her finger when Severo, who had been standing behind her, grabbed her hand and pulled the knife away.
“I suspect you’ve been cheating at work for the last few days.” Severo looked at her, with a tone of undisguised suspicion.
He made fun of her; how could a woman who couldn’t even cut a green onion do her job.
Allyce turned her head, full of surprise: “You’re back!
After her surprise, she thought about what he had said and instantly replied: “What do you mean! How could I cut off my finger if you hadn’t appeared out of nowhere and frightened me.
