Allyce lost her smile, Severo was really grumpy now.
Allyce explained in a soft tone, as if she hadn’t heard: “I felt a little sick this morning, so I had my driver take me to Dr. Griego to get checked out.
Severo’s unspoken words caught in his throat at the sudden sound of a soft, familiar voice.
He raised his hand and slammed it on the desk a couple of times, annoyed, before speaking coldly: “Allyce, only yesterday I told you not to come into the house these days, do you think my words fell on deaf ears?
His tone was mean, tinged with reproach and questioning.
But Allyce is not angry at all.
Tajo’s wife was not yet forty years old when she died.
Severo is now approaching thirty years of age.
If it is genetic, it is possible that Severo died as young as his grandmother.
Allyce took a deep breath to steady herself and prevent Severo from finding out that something was wrong.
“No, it’s just that I’m not feeling well and I’ve come to see Dr. Griego, haven’t I?” asked Allyce seriously, as if Severo could say no and she would immediately duck her head and admit her mistake.
It was like a fire that burned in Severo’s heart, that made him restless, that put him in a bad mood, that made him want to find a way out.
But Allyce’s soft, delicate voice calmed the fire in his heart.
He frowned and stared at the desk, and after a few seconds it occurred to him that Allyce couldn’t see his expression now.
“Come here, twenty minutes … no, I want to see you in ten minutes”.
At the end of the sentence, the phone hung up with a click.
Allyce heard the phone beep and fidgeted slightly before handing it back to the driver.
“Ma’am, where are we going now?” The driver spoke while carefully watching Allyce’s expression.
Seeing Allyce’s calm demeanour, he thought that this time everything would be fine.
Consequently, Allyce’s next comment shattered any illusions she might have had.
“He said he wanted to see me in ten minutes”.
Allyce finished with a smile, watching with satisfaction as the driver’s eyes widened in disbelief.
“How … how is it possible … for ten minutes …”, the driver stammered in fright.
Naturally, I knew it was impossible to get to the LK Group from here in ten minutes, it would take at least an hour, and without traffic it might be a bit quicker.
But LK is in the busiest part of the city and it is impossible not to get stuck in traffic.
And Severo is a man of his word.
Allyce wiped the smile off her face: “Alright, we’ll go now, don’t rush, safety is more important”.
The driver did not let his words sink in and was a little alarmed.
On the road, I was too anxious to breathe.
Allyce could feel the driver’s nervousness as he sat in the back.
What kind of man is Severo in the minds of these servants?
A demon that can throw a tantrum at will?
That is all.
However, this demon was the one he loved the most and would never leave him, no matter what he became.

It was an hour and a half later when we arrived on the ground floor of the LK Group.
Of course, Allyce’s phone was bombarded with calls from Severo along the way.
Allyce doesn’t answer all the time, every ten minutes or so.
What a childish move, fortunately, Severo just put away and knocked and didn’t call the driver’s phone.
Otherwise, the driver is likely to be suspicious.
Allyce didn’t take Severo’s words to heart, that he had to have people in ten minutes when they didn’t necessarily arrive in an hour.
She is not the Monkey King, who can do a hundred thousand mile heel turn.
She didn’t mind, but the driver didn’t dare.
“Madam, you are here.
The driver opened the door for her and she got out of the car, not noticing that the driver’s forehead was covered in sweat.
The car was air-conditioned and the temperature was just right, and she didn’t feel hot at all.
The driver was sweating profusely, not from the heat, but from fear.
Allyce realises that Severo is the decision-maker in the company, gives many orders every day, with hundreds of people under his direct command, and that a casual word from him could put others under pressure and fear.
The fact that she is not bothered by Severo’s sometimes irrational and temperamental outbursts does not mean that others should accept her personal emotions unconditionally.
He did not intend to do so, but brought burden and discomfort into the lives of others.
Al lyce’s mood became heavier and heavier.
When he arrived at his Severo’s office, the heaviness on his face had not diminished one iota.
Severo’s desk is full of papers, but instead of working on them, he paces around the office, glancing at the time from time to time, as if waiting for someone.
Allyce knew he was definitely waiting for her.
As soon as he heard the door open, he turned to Allyce, pulling her to him, “What took you so long, didn’t I say I’d see you in ten minutes?
“But I can’t get there in ten minutes, it’s too far from Dr. Griego’s research lab.” Allyce uttered weakly, tugging at the corners of her mouth, trying to put on a natural smile.
However, because he was in such a bad mood, his smile remained stiff.
Severo, now suspicious, narrowed his eyes slightly at her appearance and turned to close the door, his eyes sweeping over her before he spoke again, “What were you doing at Victorino’s?
“To have my body searched.” Allyce replied with a straight face.
Severo clearly does not believe her.
He gave her a suspicious look: “We were at your house on Saturday.
“Saturday was to check my head wound and today I’m there for your medical check-up and I suddenly felt a bit dizzy after you left this morning ….”
The wariness on Severo’s face had turned to concern on hearing this, but his tone was still without a trace of warmth: “And now? How do you feel?”
“He’s better now, maybe it’s just a bit of a headache because the air conditioning was set too low last night.” Allyce made an effort to pay attention to Severo’s expression as he spoke.
His face was the concentrated seriousness she knew so well.
But in his heart, he was no longer a healthy man.
She doesn’t care what she becomes.
But Severo, the president of the LK Group, cannot be a person with a mental disorder.
He is a European financial magnate, a descendant of the Solares family and an ally of Eka.
None of the labels attached to him allowed him to be anything other than a mentally unsound person.
Allyce thought: “If only I was just an ordinary person.
In this way, there would be no need to worry about what people would think or what the consequences would be if his mental disorder came to light, and everything would be solved.
