A maid soon took the initiative to inform the doctor.
Allyce, for her part, squatted down next to Lorenzo with a worried look on her face: “Are you OK?
Lorenzo did not appear to be injured, but he remained seated on the ground and did not get up.
Allyce wondered, it can’t be a real physical injury, can it?
Lorenzo heard her voice and waved his hand at her with a stern face: “Don’t come so close to me, stay away.
Then he grimaced at one of the servants who held out his hand to help him: “Be careful!
By the look of him, he should be really hurt.
But what was the reason for his fearful look at her approach?
…
The doctor arrived quickly and, after a brief examination of Lorenzo, it was determined that he had broken his hand.
“A detailed physical examination will be carried out later to see the extent of the injury.
At the doctor’s words, none of the maids next to him made a sound.
Lorenzo had broken his hand, but he had nothing else.
He made his own way to the infirmary and Allyce accompanied him.
He just didn’t look at Allyce the whole time.
It wasn’t that Allyce was self-absorbed and that Lorenzo had approached her acting as if he was interested in her and trying to flirt, but what was happening now?
It was true that she had stretched out her foot and tripped Lorenzo, causing him to break his arm, but was Lorenzo so scared? Shouldn’t he have at least looked at Allyce with indignation?
When they arrived at the infirmary, they examined Lorenzo and his arm was in a cast, looking a bit odd and with little colour.
Allyce looked down and spoke softly: “Don’t worry, the doctor said he’ll be fine soon.
Her sudden voice made Lorenzo stiffen and look at her, “Why are you still here? Why don’t you leave?”
Allyce said: “In that case, I’ll go first”.
The words and manner were as if she was acting.
She didn’t want to stay here any longer anyway, except that Lorenzo was looking suspicious.
Was Lorenzo a little afraid of her?
“Let’s go.” Lorenzo said impatiently, as if he couldn’t wait for Allyce to leave.
With a slight nod, Allyce turned to leave.
Just as he reached the door, he was met by a familiar face.
Oliveria Betances.
She was the same doctor who had followed Tajo to Cloud Cit and manipulated Allyce’s test report, causing a chain reaction later.
Allyce’s gaze was cold and she clenched her hands involuntarily.
“Dr. Betances, it’s been a long time.” Allyce’s eyes were sharp as barbs, and she couldn’t wait to dig into Oliveria’s body.
It was no secret that Allyce and Severo had returned to Solares Castle and Oliveria knew it.
Since her arrival, Oliveria had often avoided them and was not active in their presence.
At Allyce’s unkind look, Oliveria lowered her head humbly: “Miss Delahoz.
Allyce scoffed and slowly approached her, lowering her voice a little, “Let’s get together sometime, we are old friends after all”.
With that, he turned and left.
His hurried footsteps were evidence of his restless mood.
…
After returning, Allyce sat alone until Severo returned from work.
The sound of Severo coming through the door brought her back to her thoughts and she raised her head to look at Severo, “Why are you back so soon?”
Her body was a little stiff from sitting in one position for too long.
He stood up slowly and moved his shoulders without moving.
“I heard from the maid that you stayed in your room since you came back from the infirmary and didn’t come out.” Severus nonchalantly discarded the suit jacket hanging from his arm and approached Allyce.
Allyce explained: “There’s nothing to go out anyway”.
Severo smiled, his face paused slightly, his dark eyes looking directly at her, before asking, “Lorenzo came to see you?”
Allyce smiled and reached up to remove his tie, which had come loose, and as she did so she said, “Well, he and I went out for tea and he accidentally broke his hand, you know.”
“Yes.” Severo responded nonchalantly, bowing slightly and lowering his head to accompany her movements as she removed his tie.
Allyce helped him with the tie, turned and put it to one side, her back to him. “I tripped him on his way down the stairs, I didn’t think he’d break his arm, is he going to cause you any trouble?”.
He did not turn around immediately after saying that.
After a few seconds, before Severo could utter a sound, she could not resist turning her head to look at him.
As soon as she turned around she was embraced by Severo.
Allyce was caught off guard by the tightness of his embrace and unconsciously tried to look up at him when his hand, which had been on Allyce’s back, shifted and came to rest on the top of her hair, pressing it gently. “Don’t move, listen to me.”
“You can do whatever you want, don’t worry about getting me in trouble, don’t worry, I’m here.” The last three words he said as he lowered his head to her ear.
At those words, Allyce felt a damp warmth in her ear.
Severo kissed her ear softly before releasing her and leading her to sit on the couch, “What’s wrong?”
Allyce gave Severo a detailed back and forth account of what had happened, Severo just grimaced and made a face of circumstance as he listened.
“If Lorenzo had ten guts, he wouldn’t dare turn his mind on you.” Severo’s voice was very grim and his eyes narrowed dangerously.
Allyce asked in confusion: “What do you mean?
Severo turned his head to look at her, his eyes full of emotions that Allyce couldn’t quite read.
Then he spoke slowly: “I am making arrangements for your return, and by the end of this month at the latest, I will be able to arrange for your return”.
Allyce didn’t even think about it and said: “I’m not going back.
“Don’t you love Alonzo?” Severo stared at her for a few seconds, drew her into his arms and asked quietly.
“Drop it!” Allyce reached out and hit him.
Severo did not let go, of course.
Allyce grunted and then said with a serious look on her face, “I’ll miss Alonzo here, but I’ll miss you when I get back to Cloud Cit.
Severo was stunned as if he had heard something incredible.
Allyce reached out and pinched his face, “What, are you stupid? Say something.
Severo stared at Allyce and suddenly pressed in for a kiss.
Allyce turned her face to the side: “You haven’t explained about Lorenzo?
“He wouldn’t dare come to see you afterwards.” Severo blurted this out and kissed in spite of everything.
