Chapter 527: Putting Severo in the most dangerous place

Over the next few days, Severo took Allyce out for walks in the city.
In reality, he just took her out for a walk, to eat, drink and do nothing.
Provided, of course, that she ignored the large group of bodyguards who followed her on her daily travels.
They are, to put it nicely, bodyguards, but to put it badly, they are put there by Tajo to spy on her.
Severo seemed unconcerned, but Allyce was getting nervous.
Finally he found a gap and asked Severo: “What the hell is grandfather going to do?
“What are you going to do, haven’t you seen it all?” Severo, dressed in casual clothes, sat on a bench in the main square with a relaxed look on his face, his eyes resting on the flock of white pigeons not far away.
Allyce looked at him in that cosy way and felt a little helpless.
He inclined his head towards Severo: “I heard that grandfather is planning a dinner at the castle of Solares, and that the castle has been very busy these last days, supposedly for you…”.
“Well, that’s probably it.” Severo nodded, unable to read the emotion in his slightly narrowed eyes.
“Your relationship is so complicated, I’m getting confused.” Allyce let out a long sigh and leaned against his shoulder, helplessness written all over her face.
Severo reached out and cupped his face, “You don’t have to figure it out, I’ve got it all”.
Allyce shrugged her shoulders as she resented him pinching her face as if he were teasing a child.
Severo let go with a smile on his face and pointed to the flock of pigeons on the other side: “Are you going to feed the pigeons?
Both women and children seemed to enjoy this kind of thing.
Allyce looked over there: “Sure”.
“Come in.” Severo gestured with his chin at her, beckoning her to come forward.
Allyce immediately stood up: “You’re not going?
Severo bowed his head slightly, his face seemed warm with a smile and his voice clear, “I’m here to keep an eye on you”.
Allyce sniffed and had to get up and come closer.
Severo’s gaze followed Allyce as she left, only for his face to sink.
Every man in the world likes to fight, and even more so to fight for power and wealth.
Had Tajo organised a party especially for him?
The entire Solares family and other nobles, including certain political figures in J, knew that Tajo was fond of his grandson, whose mother had died young, and that he would leave him the Solares family.
But the Solares family numbered several hundred, not counting distant descendants.
Of that number, there were even more young people in their prime.
Almost all of them were ambitious for power in the Solares family.
Tajo’s move was to put Severo in the spotlight.
Tajo is a shrewd man, he is getting older, the younger generations behind him are increasingly ambitious and his energy is limited, so he has to push a man first.
Thus, everyone’s eyes are on Severo, and those who want to take a position with Severo will naturally go after him, and will naturally fight against him.
And Tajo, the old fox, doesn’t have to do anything, until the end, when these people have fought to the end and can do no more, he can step aside.
As for whether Severo will be the one to win, Tajo doesn’t care, he just enjoys the feeling of having Severo in his hands.
And if Severo loses the race, it means he is not the right man for the job and is not a loss for Tajo.
Severo’s mind was spinning so much that it only took him a few seconds to look up in Allyce’s direction and see a bodyguard standing in front of her.
Allyce was explaining something to the bodyguard.
He had almost forgotten that his good grandfather had given them so many bodyguards that even when his wife went to feed a pigeon, the bodyguards had to look after her.
A glint of sadness appeared under Severo’s eyes.
The next moment he stood up and walked in the direction of Allyce.
Not knowing what Allyce had just said, the bodyguard was about to speak when he saw Severo approaching, his face wobbled and he shouted, “Young Master Severo”.
Anyone who worked for the Solares family spoke Chinese, albeit not very well, but had no problem communicating on a day-to-day basis.
Allyce had her back to Severo and only when she heard his voice did she turn her head to look at him.
Without waiting for her to say anything, Severo pulled her behind him and spoke expressionlessly: “What? What did you say to my wife, can you tell me?
The bodyguard was a J-man and no shorter than Severo, but it felt like he was much shorter when faced with such a Severo.
Severo had not spent much time in the castle of Solares and had only heard of this young lord’s bad character, but he did not think much of it; most of the young lords of the nobility were a bit arrogant and it was not surprising.
But this one in front of him, with a single glance, gave him a chilling sensation.
He couldn’t help swallowing: “I was just asking where Miss Delahoz was going.
He finished and waited for Severo’s response.
As it turned out, Severo gave him an answer instead by lifting his foot and kicking him directly in the calf bone.
The calf bone is a very fragile area and when Severo kicked him so hard, the bodyguard immediately screamed in pain and then fell to his knees.
Fortunately, it was a weekday and there were not many people in the square, with only a few passers-by on the side. One glance showed that Severo was an aristocrat, so the general public did not dare approach to ask questions.
In J, nobles have a very high status.
“Do I have to inform you where my wife is going? What are you?” Severo’s voice was as cold as a lake breaking through the ice in winter, so cold it chilled to the bone.
The bodyguard, though wincing, responded clearly to Severo’s words: “Monsieur le Comte has asked us to look after your safety.
“Keep us safe?” Severus couldn’t help but smile as if he’d heard a joke, his handsome face growing even more charming.
The bodyguard froze for a moment before nodding his head.
The next moment, Severo reached out and hit him squarely on the jaw, his movements were sharp and violent, but his voice was soft: “To protect our safety, you must at least hit me first”.
“Severo …,” cried Allyce, startled by Severo’s sudden movement.
Severo covered Allyce’s eyes with his other hand: “Good boy, turn your head, I’m going to try that bodyguard that grandfather assigned us, is he any good or not?
“You …”
Allyce was about to say something else when he was interrupted by Severo, who said in an unquestioning tone: “Do as I say.
