When Severo went there, he saw Alonzo sitting cross-legged on the floor, holding a toy car in his hand, mumbling something with his mouth, while looking extremely serious.
Severo couldn’t help but laugh at this.
Alonzo wore no shoes, but his room was carpeted and it was not cold even when he was sitting on the floor.
“Well, stop playing for now and go brush your teeth and wash your face with daddy.” Severo stood by the door and looked at him for a moment, then came in and squatted down in front of him.
Alonzo looked at Severo’s sudden appearance and froze for a moment before nodding to him, “Oh.
Then, with a twist of his back, he climbed quickly, moving with agility and speed.
Severo took him by the hand and led him to the bathroom.
After washing Alonzo and changing again, she left him in the care of the maids and stayed in Alonzo’s room to bathe.

Allyce woke up to find no one else beside her and looked at the time to see that it was not too late.
It was Monday and I had to go to work.
She thought that if she carried on like this, the Alvidrez Group could go bankrupt because of her.
It was Severo’s fault, if he didn’t do it after a while, he was like a hungry wolf, he would gobble her up at will.
When it is over, he is relieved, but it is she who suffers, sore and in pain.
He slowly got out of bed, showered and changed his clothes before feeling a little better.
It was then that he remembered with a start that Alonzo had slept alone in the children’s room the night before.
With that in mind, he took a big step towards the children’s room across the hall.
His mind was still kicking a little at how he had forgotten everything.
When he reached the children’s room, he found it empty and assumed that when Severo had woken up, Alonzo had probably also woken up and the two fathers and sons would now be together.
He hurried down the stairs and found no one in the hall, so it was time to eat in the dining room.
With this in mind, he headed for the dining room.
Only at the door did he hear Severo’s cold voice ringing from the dining room: “If you can’t do this little thing right, pack up your things and leave now”.
Allyce smiled and walked straight in, “What’s up?”.
Seeing Allyce approaching, Severo’s tone suddenly became soft: “Have you woken up from your nap?
“Yes.” Allyce replied and her eyes fell on Alonzo who was sitting across from Severo.
Alonzo sat upright like a little gentleman and as soon as he saw Allyce his eyes lit up and he shouted happily, “Mummy”.
“Good morning, sweetheart.” Allyce went to sit next to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
Then he realised that neither Severo nor Alonzo had moved much from the breakfast in front of them.
“It looks like I’m on time, they’ve just started breakfast.
Allyce finished and was a little surprised to see that no maid had brought out breakfast, when she heard Severo say, “What do you want to eat? I’ll fix it for you.
“I don’t want anything in particular, just the same as yours.” Allyce shook her head hastily.
Alonzo spoke up at the time: “It’s too salty, dad says you can’t eat it …”.
Allyce listened to Alonzo’s words, and from this, she thought about what Severo had just said, and it was as if she understood something.
“Yes?” With a glance at Severo, he took the spoon from Alonzo and scooped up the porridge and put it in his mouth.
The maids in the house had not been doing it long, but they were all very industrious and had never made any great mistakes, sometimes there were minor ones, and Allyce, as mistress, merely looked the other way.
The porridge he put in his mouth was so salty that it looked as if it had been soaked in salt water.
He got up and went to the kitchen sink and spat it out.
Severo followed close behind, entering with a glass of water and a hint of reproach in his tone: “What would you like for breakfast?
Allyce took a sip of water and then asked: “Is that why you throw people out?
Severo said nothing.
At that moment, a maid, young for her age and red-eyed, suddenly jumped at the door.
As soon as he entered, he leaned over to Allyce and said with a pleading face, “Ma’am, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make the savoury porridge, my mother is ill and I stayed at the hospital all night last night after work…”.
Allyce smiled and hastened to say, “Hold still for a moment”.
At his words, the maid drew herself up and gave him a wary glance, and when she felt Severo’s face turn towards her, she ducked her head as if she had seen something terrible.
Allyce let out a small sigh, how was it possible that all the servants in the house were so afraid of Severo.
“I know about you, since your mother is sick and has no one to take care of her, you can take a few days off to look after her”.
Allyce saw the tiredness under the maid’s eyes and knew that she had indeed not slept well, and this maid she was under the impression was one of Alonzo’s most favourite maids.
The maid looked up in surprise and said in a loud voice: “Thank you Madam … thank you Madam!”.
When the maid came out, Allyce turned her face to look at Severo, who was sullen as water.
“It’s just a little thing, you don’t have to be angry, and she didn’t want to make a mistake. Allyce tilted her head to look at him, with a slightly persuasive tone in her voice.
However, Severo’s expression showed no sign of improvement and he looked at Allyce with a cold face, “Why should I keep an invalid, she can’t even cook porridge, why should I keep her?”
“She said so, she is sick because her mother is in hospital …”
Severo immediately cut Allyce off and said, “That’s her business, it’s her mother, not mine.
Severo said this in a very insensitive way.
Allyce was stunned for a moment and spoke in surprise: “Shouldn’t we have compassion?
“There is nothing to feel sorry for.” said Severo, and turned to leave.
Allyce suddenly thought of something and followed him, asking, “What about the maid who accidentally burned Alonzo last time? Did you fire her too?”
“Of course, don’t you dismiss her and keep her at home for New Year’s Eve?” Severo’s eyes flashed with a cold look, as if he thought it was a great gift for him to send the maid away.
Allyce had been angry at the maid’s carelessness, but even when raising her own children, it was inevitable that they would cross paths.
The maid’s family was not well off, and it would have been unreasonable for Allyce to dismiss her for such a small problem.
