Allyce looked at the words Severo at the top, thought for a moment, then turned back to those written invitations, a complex emotion shining in her eyes.
She hesitated for a moment and sat down next to him, her voice calming, “Why do we have to invite so many people, wouldn’t it be nice to have just a few of our own family and friends together to celebrate?”
She had also thought about how to celebrate Alonzo’s birthday.
For her and Severo, Alonzo will probably be the one they love the most, whether or not they have another child in the future. As for Alonzo’s birthday, I hadn’t thought about having a big party.
Alonzo is still a bit introverted, although he has been much more active lately.
If he had really wanted to celebrate, he would have invited some family and close friends to the house, or he would have had a small party at the Kimdis’ house. He thought Severo felt the same way, but he didn’t know that Severo, who had always kept a low profile, wanted to go big.
“It would be nice to have a big party.” Severo spoke without raising his head, as if unaware of Allyce’s resistance.
“But …”
Allyce was about to say more when Severo cut her off: “I’ve arranged everything in the meantime and the news is out, even if it’s too late to call it off.
This was really Severo’s style, he just went ahead and did what he wanted to do, good or bad, and never consulted her.
Allyce’s heart clenched a little.
She wondered how it was possible for her to stay at home quietly with the baby, when she was preparing for this.
Alonzo was her son and he was organising a big birthday party for Alonzo and hadn’t thought to discuss it with her.
When Severo finished talking to her, he went back to writing the invitations.
Allyce took a deep breath, stood up and said, “Whatever you want”.
Seeing that Severo did not react, he hugged Alonzo and went out.

For the next two days, Allyce went to Sky City.
The day after his return was the weekend and it was also Alonzo’s second birthday.
Over the past few days, news was everywhere about the birthday party of the LK Group’s youngest prince, and before Alonzo’s birthday arrived, photos of the venue had already gone viral.
I knew these things would not be released without Severo’s permission.
Alonzo’s birthday party was the work of Severo.
Allyce had ordered a cupcake outside the night before Alonzo’s birthday to give him an early birthday present.
Because tomorrow Alonzo, who has another identity as the young prince of the LK Group, and who tonight Allyce has given him an early birthday present, is only Allyce’s son.
Allyce hugged Alonzo, held his hand and clapped and sang the happy birthday song, then gave him a kiss on his little cheek: “Happy birthday, sweetheart!
Children love beautiful and colourful cakes, and Alonzo was no exception.
He twisted and turned on Allyce, grunting and reaching for the cake.
Allyce laughed and cajoled him: “You can’t take it, you have to blow out the candles first”.
He reached out and pointed to the candles on the cake and said to Alonzo: “Come on, blow out the candles with mum”.
Alonzo cooperated with her and the two of them blew out the candles and the lights came back on in the room.
Severo sat across from the two mothers and children with little expression on his face.
Allyce ignored Severo and took Alonzo’s little hand and went to cut the cake.
Allyce stopped Alonzo before he could take a couple of bites, he was too young and too unfit to eat anything more than the main meal.
“Go to bed early, tomorrow you have to start very early.” Severo, who was sitting opposite them, spoke coldly.
Allyce was still smiling and talking to Alonzo when she heard Severo’s voice, the smile on her face remained and she raised her eyes to look at him and said in a faint tone, “Oh”.
He then took Alonzo upstairs.
Severo did not return to her room until she had put Alonzo to sleep.
Allyce opened the bedroom door just in time to see Severo standing in the doorway, ready to open the door, but with his phone in his other hand.
Apparently, he was about to open the door but had received a call.
Allyce withdrew her hand and went back to her room, where she lay down on her bed.
He closed his eyes and wondered how long it had been since the position next to him had sagged under the weight.
It was Severo who went up.
The next moment, the man’s arm was across her waist, slowly squeezing her, and then, with a slight push, he took her suddenly boneless body in his arms possessively.
Allyce didn’t move either, she hadn’t been feeling well for the last few days and couldn’t believe that Severo, with his sharp mind, didn’t see it.
Perhaps it seemed to him that I was angry.
Every night, he was intimate with her as if nothing had happened.
After a while, Allyce felt a bit of heat and pushed it away: “Let go, it’s hot”.
“I’m cold.” Severo was brazen and immediately pressed again.
She leaned towards him and Allyce stepped aside.
It wasn’t until he reached the edge of the bed that he finally managed to roll over and sit up. “Severo, stop fussing and get some sleep!”
Her voice was a little loud and carried over the silence of the room, making it seem a little hollow.
Severo did not answer immediately, the room was silent.
But he stepped aside to give Allyce some space.
Allyce thought Severo had finally absorbed her words.
He had just gone to bed when he heard Severo say: “Are you still angry from a few days ago?
Allyce suspected she had misheard, so she asked again: “What did you say?
Severo’s voice sounded muffled in the darkened room: “You’ve been angry with me for a few days because I’m organising a big party for Alonzo’s birthday and you don’t say more than ten words a day.
It was true that he had very little time to talk to Severo when he got up in the morning and went to work and came back in the afternoon to play with Alonzo, and it was also true that he did not want to talk to Severo.
The other reason was that she didn’t want to talk to Severo. And he wanted to say what Allyce thought he meant, that Severo did know she was angry.
But did he think she was angry because she was going to give Alonzo a big party?
If Severo had discussed it with her beforehand …
If Severo had spoken to her when he found out that she was going to organise a big party for Alonzo’s birthday, she would not have been angry, she would have been happy that Severo was willing to organise a big party for Alonzo, which is what a father would do for his son.
But the bad news is that he decided to give Alonzo a big birthday party without talking to Allyce.
