Allyce laughed at the message.
He should at least have responded with a “good wife” or a few more words of concern.
Instead, he simply sent the words “go and rest” coolly.
In the past, he might have blamed Severo for being insensitive.
But now he realises that Severo is the kind of person he is.
Severo never said anything serious or sweet, but sometimes he said something involuntary that hit her right in the heart.
Allyce took a sip of the warm brown sugar water and the sweetness went straight to her heart.
He had to return to the Alvidrez Group in the afternoon, and after drinking the brown sugar water, he set his alarm clock and fell asleep with the hot water bottle in his arms.
It seems to really feel much better …

It was a good night’s sleep for Allyce.
Allyce woke up as soon as the alarm clock went off.
He went down to the window and found that it was already pouring outside.
It seemed to be clear when he had fallen asleep earlier, so why was it raining all of a sudden?
But it was always like that in summer, I stopped after a while, and I had to go back to Cloud Cit in the afternoon, so there shouldn’t be a problem with this weather, right?
This should not be a problem.
Allyce washed up, grabbed a quick lunch and went back to the office.
The afternoon meeting went well thanks to his words in the morning.
Although the other directors of the company did not like Allyce becoming president, her status as the largest shareholder gave her the most power in her hands.
Not all of them are innocent, and Allyce is young and has little affection for them, so if they really push her, they have to worry about her tearing them apart.
Allyce was a little distracted by the meeting, occasionally looking out of the window at the heavy rain.
When the meeting was over, he took out his phone and saw that the news on it said that several flights had been cancelled due to heavy rain.
His heart sank slightly.
He hurried to look for flights to Cloud Cit and sure enough, they were also cancelled.
Not caring that the other directors had not yet left, he got up and headed outside.
“Contact the pilot for me and ask him if the plane can take off now, I have to get back to Cloud Cit,” he told his bodyguard as he hurried off.
Walking up to the gates of the Alvidrez Group, looking out at the curtain of rain and fog, Allyce knew she really couldn’t come back today.
He thought back to the morning at the entrance to the villa when Severo had looked at the sky; he had seen the weather forecast and knew it was going to rain a lot, didn’t he?
She sighed and waited for the driver to turn the car around before being flanked by bodyguards to return to the car.
The pilot of the aircraft quickly called her to tell her that the plane could not be driven.
Allyce couldn’t help but feel lost, even though she had thought about this situation from the beginning.
Looking out of the window at the pouring rain, Allyce thought of the restaurant Severo had taken her to on her last visit to Sky City and turned to the driver and said, “Go to the restaurant”.

The car stopped in front of the restaurant.
He opened the car door to get out and a porter came out to meet him with an umbrella, but the rain was so heavy that his calves and heels were still soaked by the splashing water.
The wind blew and he felt a shiver run through his body.
Once inside the shop he gave Severo’s name, knowing that if he gave his own name it would be impossible to get a reservation.
Severo’s name was the entrance, and he was able to get a table without any problems.
He asked for a window seat in the lobby.
As he waited for his food to be served, he looked out of the window at the heavy rain and felt nothing but a lack of interest.
He called Severo and Severo did not answer. He had to send a message to Severo saying that he was eating at the restaurant and then he took a picture and sent it to Severo.
He did not wait for Severo’s call until the food was served.
When she could not wait for Severo’s call, she felt uncomfortable and could not eat.
At that moment, a slightly familiar voice rang out, “Mrs. Betances?”
Allyce looked up and saw Marco standing at the table, a look of surprise in Marco’s eyes.
Allyce hastily put the chopsticks in his hand and stood up: “Monsieur Pastrano?
Marco looked her up and down for a moment before looking away extremely quickly and asking, “Is Mrs. Betances dining alone?
Allyce responded politely, although she did not like Marco, “Yes”.
“Then Mrs. Betances doesn’t mind if I share a table with you,” he said. Marco was speaking declaratively, as he had taken a seat across from her when she finished speaking.
Allyce was a little stunned.
Allyce knew that Marco’s comment was merely an excuse, but she could not refuse.
It felt like the old school days, when she had bought an apple and left it in her dorm room and a stranger had come in and taken a bite before saying, “Do you mind?
To be honest, she really cared.
But Allyce was a bit of a coward, Marco was too big and she was afraid of offending him and giving Severo more trouble.
When Marco sat down, a waiter brought him the menu.
He chatted with Allyce as he looked at the menu: “What is Mrs. Betances doing in Ciudad del Cielo?
Allyce spoke in a cold tone: “Taking care of some business”.
Marco moved and looked at Allyce, and just when Allyce thought he was going to ask him what the matter was, Marco said, “Is Mrs. Betances under the influence of Mr. Betances? They both seem to be cold to people as a couple”.
Wasn’t that silly? I didn’t know Marco well, did I have to be warm and cosy?
And I had a feeling that Marco was up to no good. Marco’s mysterious identity, and it was natural for him to seek the cooperation of the people involved in his investigation of Amado Mejia and Grizzi, but what if he wanted Severo to cooperate and make unfair demands?
That was not impossible.
At that moment he could not help but feel hostile towards Marco.
Allyce lowered her eyelids and said patiently, in a tone even colder than before: “I’m sorry, because I’ve had a long day and I’m tired and hungry.”
The “I’m sorry” had a vague note of irony, and she thought Marco would stop bothering her now.
Instead, Marco said, “Mrs. Betances is different from other women, it is very special that her husband is worth hundreds of millions of dollars but she is not dependent on him”.
Shit!
Allyce swallowed the words in her throat and said, “Mr. Pastrano, I am ashamed to say that I plan to be a full-time wife at home”.
