The “date” of the day ended with a candlelit dinner after the film.
Once back in the village, Allyce looked up and down for signs of Delfina and Alonzo.
Seeing them neither upstairs nor downstairs, he turned directly to Severo and asked: “Where are they?
Severo had just come from a phone call, and when he heard her ask, he didn’t answer immediately: “Who?
Allyce opened and closed her lips and said, “Didn’t you say Delfina and the others were in Cloud Cit?”
He did not mention Alonzo’s name, as it was still a bit sensitive for both of them.
Severo’s eyes showed a hint of insight as he calmly said, “They live somewhere else, if you want to see them, come back tomorrow”.
Allyce nodded slightly, then suddenly thought of something else and paused before speaking: “Delfina is not well, someone look after her, she’s a good girl anyway.
She had only been in contact with Delfina for a short time, but she could sense that Delfina was indeed a very pure-hearted girl, after all, she had hardly been in contact with outsiders since she was a child and her mind was not so complicated.
Severo raised an eyebrow and said in an unkind tone: “Am I the kind of man who throws random tantrums?
Allyce saw that he looked like he was about to get angry but she didn’t panic at all, she knew he was just trying to scare her and wouldn’t really do anything to her, she smiled and said, “Of course you’re not, it’s just that I’m afraid you’ve been careless, you men are always careless.”
“Is that so? Am I careless?” said Severo, reaching out and handing Allyce a lady’s watch, raising his eyebrows slightly with a hint of mockery in his eyes.
The watch was from Allyce.
He had taken it off when washing his hands, but seemed to have forgotten to take it with him.
And Severo took it out at that moment, and it was a real slap in the face!
Allyce looked at him and put her hand to her watch, bristling, “Okay, okay, you’re the careful one!”.

The next morning, Allyce and Severo went to meet Delfina and Alonzo.
It wasn’t until the car pulled up in front of the hospital that surprise appeared on Allyce’s face: “Delfina, what’s wrong with her?
“She already had a heart transplant and her body happened to have a rejection reaction when I sent someone to get her.” Severo explained briefly to Allyce before taking the lead and opening the car door to get out.
Once downstairs, he held the door with extreme naturalness and waited for Allyce to leave before closing the door behind him.
Allyce’s face was somewhat serious, although he was not a doctor, he had some knowledge of medicine, a heart problem must have been very serious and painful.
He glanced inside the hospital and realised that it happened to be owned by Gabrio’s family.
I hadn’t seen Gabrio for a long time because I was too busy, and I had to see him after meeting Delfina.
He followed Severo to Delfina’s room.
Delfina was in the VIP lounge, which was sparsely populated and quiet, with a bodyguard guarding the entrance.
When the bodyguards saw Severo arrive, they all nodded slightly and spoke respectfully: “Sir, madam!
Severo grabbed Allyce and walked straight into the room.
Delfina was sleeping, her face as pale as a quilt, her eyes tightly closed, looking restless and much thinner.
Allyce sighed slightly.
After all, they were both children and the same age, and yet it was still a little sad for Allyce to see Delfina lying in a hospital bed like that.
When the nurse saw them enter, she quickly got up and approached them.
Allyce looked up and made a silent gesture towards her.
Allyce turned her head and saw a children’s desk in the corner, where Alonzo was scribbling on a blackboard with a pen.
As if sensing Allyce’s gaze, her small head lifted and her dark eyes moved from side to side before settling on Allyce’s body.
He stared at Allyce for a few seconds and then, as if remembering that he had seen Allyce before, his eyes lit up and he stomped his foot twice before getting off the stool.
But because he was so small and the chair was so high, he stretched his little legs several times, but could not step on the floor, yet he did not cry like other children, but kept patiently trying to get down.
Allyce saw this and approached him.
“Do you want to come down? I’ll help you.
He reached under Alonzo’s armpits and lifted him easily.
Once Allyce had him out, she prepared to put him on the floor, but he suddenly tightened his arms around her neck and his eyes looked warily behind her.
Allyce was a little surprised, she remembered that Delfina had said that Alonzo was a little uncomfortable around strangers.
She also knew that the children’s memories were weak, and it had been almost a month since Delfina and the others had last left, so she didn’t expect Alonzo to act as if he knew her and was really willing to be near her.
He turned to follow Alonzo’s line of sight and met Severo’s expressionless face.
He thought for a moment and led Alonzo straight to the exit.
Alonzo realised that Allyce was going to take him outside and struggled a little when Allyce patted him on the back and whispered, “Auntie’s sleeping, let’s go outside and talk without disturbing her”.
Alonzo seemed to understand and did not move, except that he was leaning on Allyce’s shoulder, looking at Severo with wonder and curiosity.
Allyce was thinking of something else, that the boy was too quiet.
When he had entered the room, he had seen the bed at first glance and hadn’t noticed anything else, and if Alonzo hadn’t made a noise, he wouldn’t have known it was there.
When she came out, Allyce didn’t put Alonzo down either. She sat down on the bench with him in her arms and asked him in a whisper, “Have you had breakfast?
Alonzo froze for a moment before speaking in a sticky voice: “Balls.
Allyce looked confused at the caregiver who had followed him, and the caregiver was quick to say, “He had egg custard this morning”.
Allyce smiled instantly and squeezed Alonzo’s face, asking softly, “Well, what else did you eat?
Alonzo thought for a moment before responding in kind: “Buns.”
The two words were said clearly enough.
Severo approached from behind and saw Allyce hugging Alonzo and talking to him, looking very friendly.
Alonzo sat on Allyce’s lap in a ball, unusually calm and well-behaved, and very affectionate.
It’s just that this child came in a somewhat inexplicable way.
