Eka’s pupils twitched, as if she was a little intimidated by Severo’s appearance.
But he kept a decent smile on his face: “You don’t have to look at me like that, I’ve taken good care of Allyce these past few days, if you don’t believe me, you can find a good place to check it out or ask her yourself.
I could tell if Allyce was unharmed, I had seen her when she was eating earlier.
However, after arriving in J, she had not gone to Eka to ask about her, also because she knew that Eka would not let her go so easily.

Allyce reacted quickly and leaned in with Severo.
The Queen’s voice came: “Mr. Betances, long time no see”.
Severo lifted Allyce up, “This is my wife”.

It was obvious that the Queen and Severo knew each other.
Allyce had once seen the Empress of J on the news, an old woman with grace in her bones and deep, wise eyes.
The Empress of J is an icon in the hearts of countless women.
A lifetime of nobility, she was elegant and well-groomed into old age.
“Welcome to Country J, come to the Royal Races, have fun, I heard Eka say earlier that she had invited friends, I didn’t expect it to be you.” There was a gentleness in the Queen’s tone.

She sank her eyes and hiked up Allyce’s skirt before resting her forehead on Allyce’s shoulder to catch her breath.
His breath was hot and ragged, and it made Allyce blush to hear it.

Severo’s voice darkened slightly as he reached mid-sentence and suddenly reached Allyce’s forehead, “Are you having a heart attack, with how fast it’s beating?”
