Olivia
I was currently on my way home with Javier.
I couldn’t believe I just did that. I confessed I wanted him to be my boyfriend. I couldn’t forget how happy Javier’s face was. I loved seeing his face like that. I promised myself I wouldn’t make him sad. My past won’t be a disturbance to our relationship.
We spent a few hours on the yacht because I told him I wanted to see the sunset before we went back to the shore. Javier kindly let me as we watched the sunset together. It was the most romantic thing we did as a couple. He wanted to take me to dinner but my stomach was still full of the brunch I had with Karen before so he decided to take me straight home.
He stopped the car in front of the gate and I looked at him. He turned to me fully smiling. Oh, God. “Um, thank you for taking me home. And…for today as well,” I said. I sounded so nervous.
“Thank you for today as well, Olivia. I, uh, never expected you will give me the answer I wanted to hear the most this fast. I hope…this present of mine could save your heart.”
“I hope so too.” So, this was what he wanted to give me. He gave me his heart to save me. God, this guy is so romantic.
“Actually, I’ve prepared myself to be rejected,” he added.
“Why?”
“Well, usually when a woman was sad about something, it’s because of a man and maybe you have not fully forgotten the man you used to love.” His explanation shocked me. Javier was right, Blake was the culprit. He took my heart and crushed it like it was nothing. But now…
“Javier, I wanted to be with you not because I wanted to piss him off or something.” I didn’t want him to think that I became his girlfriend so I could piss Blake off.
“Hey, calm down. It’s alright. I can see you haven’t forgotten about him completely but I will help you. I will show you that you could be loved by someone else, wholly…by me.” He grabbed my hand, pulling it closer to his lips, and placed a kiss on my palm with his brown eyes were on me. Eyes full of sincerity and love. Looking at me like I was the center of his world. I didn’t want to disappoint him, most of all myself as well.
I chose to be with him. I trusted him to fill the gap in my heart.
“I’m ready to take all the risk to be with you.” Javier slowly let my hand go. This guy was a risk-taker. Maybe I was too. “I’ll call you.”
“Okay.” I smiled at him and jumped out of the car. I went to the entrance door and turned around. I saw his car was still there and I waved my hand. Although I couldn’t see him, I knew he was waving his hand back and then he drove away. I entered my house and headed straight to my room.
“Oh, Olivia.” Until Cindy stopped me and saw her in the kitchen. “How’s your day going?”
“Well, it was good.” Yeah, it was absolutely good. I had a boyfriend for the first time. Not to mention, the lucky guy was Javier. Well, maybe I was the lucky one because I had Javier Ronan as my very first boyfriend.
“Glad to hear that. Are you hungry?”
“No, Cindy. I’m still full of the brunch I had with Karen before,” I politely refused.
“Are you sure?”
“Positive.”
“Okay then. If you’re hungry, I left a lasagna on the fridge so you could heat it in the microwave.”
“Thanks, Cindy. Good night.” I went to my room. I put my bag on the sofa until my phone rang. I pulled it out of the bag and saw a message from Javier.
I had a great time today and feel like I’m on top of the world.
I’ll be seeing you again tomorrow for our first training as a couple. I was hoping for lunch right after?
I smiled reading his message. I thought maybe because he had a lot of experiences with women so he sounded like…this.
I had a great time too. And yes, we could have lunch tomorrow after training.
See you tomorrow, Javier. Good night.
I put my phone on top of the nightstand, had a quick shower, and went straight to bed.

The next day, I got ready to go to the gym. I wore a maroon red sleeveless shirt with a black sports jacket. I brought a white shirt, blue jeans, and a pair of black flat shoes as my change of clothes. Once I was ready, I went downstairs and saw my parents were already there. “Morning,” I greeted them and went to the counter. Taking the glass of warm milk and drank some from it.
“Hey, kiddo. By the way, your pick-up is waiting outside,” dad informed. My pick-up?
“Who is it?” I asked and he cocked his head to the door.
“Find it out by yourself. Cindy had invited him to come in and have breakfast with us but he politely refused,” dad said, sounded a little bit annoyed. I glanced at Cindy.
“It’s just your father’s instinct is kicking in, Liv.”
“Honey!” dad scolded as I rolled my eyes.
“You better get going, dear. Or he will explode,” Cindy joked as I finished my milk and parted ways with them. I exited the house and saw the so familiar Acura parked in the front. Ah, that’s why dad is so worked up in the morning. I immediately approached it and jumped in. Javier looked really handsome with his usual gym uniform and black sport sweatpants.
“I didn’t know you’re going to pick me up,” I told him.
“Well, we’re in the same neighborhood and your house is not really far from mine. Besides,” he paused and igniting the engine. “It’s my duty as your boyfriend.” My heart just jumped out because of that. He knew his way of words. “Oh, I forgot something.”
“What is it?” Before I could adjust anything, he moved closer and placed a kiss on my temple. He pulled away as his eyes were on me while smiling sweetly.
“Morning, baby.”
I smiled shyly. “Morning.” He went back to his seat and drove his car away, heading to Premium Soul.
He parked his car in the usual spot and we went out together. We entered the club together, greeting the usual handsome receptionist whose name was Drew and heading to our usual room. “Did you sleep well?”
“I did,” I replied and put my bag on top of the couch.
“Did you dream about me?” he jokingly asked. I turned to him but before I could answer him, he laughed a bit. “I’m joking. Alright, let’s stretch out first.” I guessed I found a little bit about Javier. He was a flirt.
I tied up my hair into a ponytail and began stretching. Once we finished, we began the training. It was another usual training from him. He acted professionally although his current client…was his girlfriend. He was so serious with his job, so determined, and I liked that.
We did the usual one-hour training and since I had begun this training for almost three weeks, the exercises were not that exhausting anymore. Maybe I could do another thirty minutes but I didn’t want to push myself and ended up fainted. “Here,” Javier handed me a cup of water as I took it and he sat next to me on the floor. “You’re improving,” he said while taking a sip of his water.
“Thanks. Thanks to your amazing training.”
“No, Olivia. I did nothing. It’s all because of your determination and I must admit that you look fresher than the first time I meet you.”
“What, are you saying I look dull before?”
“Well…a little bit.”
“Oh, shut up!” I playfully slapped his elbow and we laughed together. I swung my hands harder as Javier had to put down his cup in order to avoid my not so brutal attack.
“H-Hey! I’m sorry! Olivia!” he shouted while laughing but I continued slapping him. Until we fell and I slumped on top of him. I stopped immediately where my lips were merely inches away from him. We were just looking at each other. Concentrating on each other. I couldn’t hear anything. I was too focused on Javier under me. His scent. His breath. And then I felt his big hands on my back. “Olivia,” he whispered my name. My body answered him with my heart beating hard and fast. I was sure he could hear it. Even I could hear it. He put his hand on the back of my head, pulling me even closer slowly. My breath became rapid. He was going to kiss me.
“You fucking bitch!” Until I heard a commotion outside. We stopped immediately and turned our heads to the door. It was a woman’s voice. Is someone fighting outside?
“Fucking hell,” Javier cursed under his breath as he pushed his body forward and we stood up. “Stay here, Olivia,” he said and went to the door.
“Is everything alright?”
“Yeah, everything’s cool. It’s just a client who is stubborn as hell and spoiled like fuck.” I rarely heard him cursing like this. Well, I had before when he broke up with his ex and it was not really…pleasant to hear. It made me wonder about how Javier would look like if he was seriously angry.
Javier walked out of the room. I could hear the commotion outside was not as loud as before with Javier’s presence. I was curious and went to the door, slightly opening it, and saw him on the corner with a girl with a long ponytail brown hair and another who I recognized. One of the girls from the group I met in the shower room and her lips were bleeding. What the hell? I couldn’t believe they had a fistfight with each other. Both of them were girls.
“What the hell is going on here?” Javier asked, trying to sound calm but I could tell he was not calm at all. He sounded pissed.
“I can’t accept this bitch had the room first! I was only out for two minutes and she immediately put her ass in my room?!” the ponytail girl rudely said.
“You know the rules here.”
“Fuck them! I’m going to tell my father about this and you better pray because he’s going to shut down your precious club.” What the fuck?
“Miss Rivers, calm down. You already this twice. Twice, if you don’t remember. And you better not do it again or we will have to suspend your membership,” Javier told.
The girl scoffed annoyingly. “You wouldn’t do that,” she said arrogantly. Oh, nice. That girl was indeed the spoiled girl I had ever seen. I couldn’t believe I was seeing all this.
“Oh, we would if you’re causing this mess again. There are rules here and you better follow it or…you can find another gym club to mess around with.” The girl looked pissed and was staring dead at Javier. He didn’t seem affected by it.
“Don’t worry, handsome. I won’t be coming here anymore,” she said and pulled out something from her purse. A card and she threw it harshly to Javier’s chest and walked away. I immediately closed the door because she was going to leave passing this room.
I couldn’t believe I just witnessed that. The true drama from the spoiled rich kid.
Javier returned and slowly closing the door. “I’m sorry about that.”
“It’s okay. I’m sorry too. I…was curious and heard everything.”
“I don’t blame you. That girl always caused commotions here, too many complaints have been filled because of her and I can’t have that. She thought she could get whatever she wanted by mentioning her father.”
“Are you alright?”
“Yeah. I’m thankful because she chose to walk away from my club. I don’t need that kind of client here.”
“I agree.” Javier smiled sweetly but I still could see the annoyance from his face.
“Don’t worry about it. Take a shower, Liv. I’m taking you to lunch.” That was what he said, but maybe he wanted to cool his head too.
“Okay.”
“I’ll be waiting in the car.” I smiled and grabbed my bag, walking out of the room and heading to the shower room.
I hoped I wouldn’t come across to that girl and wished she wouldn’t do anything to Javier’s precious club.
