Fred’s Point of View
He carefully place his phone down and looked at it, he couldn’t remove his gave from his screen. His cousin just did a surprising move, first, she called him and asked for permission to attend a party. A party of a boy. He was experienced enough to realize that this guy had an eye on his cousin and his cousin too.
Truly, attending that party would be so much risk, he lied. He lied for her, he didn’t want to ruin her mood this time. She had been through a lot, maybe he need to support her on this. She deserves to be happy. All he needed to do was to make everything safe, he stood and went to a corner of his office, where his secret room was. He pushed the wall and revealed a door, he opened it and went in.
He sat on his chair across his computer with three monitors. He started searching for everything about Nick Hernandez. He got into his family tree. His father was a lawyer and her mother was a housewife and died in a car accident. He move to his grandparents and find a picture of two pairs of grandparents but Nikolas Hernandez got his attention, he was a retired lawyer, and he also had a good reputation. It wasn’t too safe for him but he move to his relatives.
Unfortunately, he found a number of his relatives that was inclined to law field, the same field as Fera’s father but all of them were local lawyer, a little possibility that they would not recognize Fera. He tracked their, addresses and possible places that visited, he tracked anything that might be connected to Fera’s family. Good thing there was a thin possibility that someone from his family would know her. Fera rarely appeared in public for her safety only close friends and the prominent person had the chance to meet Fera when she was little. Yet that would not secure the possibility, she appeared in a few newspapers before.
He scratched his eyebrow after tracking his family background, he calculated the probability of their parents’ connection but it was still good since Hernandez’s family was more on farming and owns hectares of land. Typical province family. He thought that Fera only need a bit of makeup to cover up her resemblance to her mother.
He accidentally clicks a picture of Nick and a man with him. He seemed familiar, the only thing that came into his mind. He search for who he was and he got the name of Benjamin Leonardo. A fresh graduate of law, and his cousin.
Fred had met him and he met Fera’s father once, he was the little boy who went to their building and waited for Fera’s father and claimed that he was a big fan.
“This man is a bit of trouble,” he got his cellphone and dialed Fera’s secretary.
“Lora, this Benjamin Leonardo had ever met Fera?” he went straight and asked her.
“May I know why, sir?” Her voice sounded calm and professional.
“Just answer the question, Loraly,” he demanded.
“I am not allowed to give you any detail about her without her permission, sir.” A smile crept onto his lips as he heard her firm answer.
“I need it now,” he said with doing something on his computer, he knew that Lora will never give him any information, she was a loyal secretary to Fera’s family. He was hacking her system while the call was on, he was using the connection of their call to track her IP address and got into her system. But when he found it, a strong firewall blocked him. He wasn’t expecting that Lora would find out about it. He smiled, even more, when he realize how good Lora was in her field.
He couldn’t break her firewall anymore she had changed her code to a stronger one. He stopped typing commands when glitches appeared on his monitor that alert him. He instantly started blocking her backfire. Until he manages to block her attempt of breaking into.
“Clever,” the only thing he could comment on when he saw the virus she had planted.
“I’m sorry, I need to ask Miss Fera about it, I’ll get back as soon as possible.” And she cut the call. At that moment he realize that she heard his compliment. He gave up and went to his email. He started making mail for Lora, cause he was so sure that she’d not pick up the call again.
“I was only securing her security, this man has met her father and he might recognize her, tell me if they already did, or not so I could kill him before he meets Fera.” A smile never left his lips while having communication with her. He found Lora amusing, he had been trying to trap her or ruin her security but she wasn’t easy to mess with. A fighter and a strong woman.
“She’ll be attending a party, provide her with an elegant dress and anything she needs, do not hesitate to send luxurious things, I will clean the party to make it safe. If she’d be needing a car, not a problem.” He added and waited for her response.
“Sure, sir. She met Mr. Benjamin Leonardo once, she did mention that he almost recognize her but didn’t.” She replied, expecting that Fera had given her permission to notify him.
He created another mail to the Fera’s Principal. He ordered to look for Fera during the party, and make sure to keep her away from someone they might recognize and the principal only replied with a furious mail that he had no right to order her by any means but eventually agreed. He had assigned personnel to look after her, such as waiter and cater. Even the organizer’s assistant was paid to make sure she was safe.
He frown his brows when he saw a notification, he received another mail from Lora, he opened it and saw a list of names.
‘Mikaela Jade Mendez, Sarah Lim…’ he was too lazy to read them so he went to the end of the mail, ‘here are the students who bullied Miss Fera a few days ago.’ Once he saw that he scroll down and read every name.
“What is this for?” he replied.
“Hello too, Sir. I only think you might want to know these women who did something unrightfully to Miss Fera. -Loraly.” Her formal reply made him stretch his lips into a smile again. He took a deep breath and read all those names, especially their last names. Nothing special to them compared to his cousin.
“Do not worry about them, my cousin is a little demon. Let her take care of those brats.” He replied, there was nothing to worry about that ungrateful b*tch she got this. And his eyes fell onto her picture, it was small but he could clearly see her fine features.
“This girl had been giving me a headache,” he whispered but the excitement every time he tested her patience was always epic for him. He went back to his business, he thought of attending the party, he could easily get an invitation card but he did not want to ruin her night. All he want this time was to make this perfect for Fera. It was the first time that Fera was excited to attend.
He stared at the picture of her and Fera standing side by side in formal wear. No matter how life had hardened her principle and perspective she was still a little girl. A teen who was experiencing admiration for someone, which was normal.
“It will be fine,” he swore.
