Rhezi shut her mouth. She nodded and finished her work as fast as what Kraius wanted. She also took a quick shower and prepared herself for where they were going. She wore her usual denim shorts and a simple white shirt that Kraius gave her. She covered it with her denim jacket which Kraius had even taken from their house. Even her Converse shoes were brought by him.
“Ready?” Kraius asked Rhezi. He was in the doorway while staring intently at Rhezi walking towards him. Her hair is in a messy bun while there are some tilted strands that match her gentle face. “You’re cute, Chubz,” Kraius whispered without restraint.
Rhezi smiled but didn’t utter a word. She just looked at Kraius and glanced at him. He was wearing cargo shorts and a gray shirt. While wearing a large silver necklace. His hair was disheveled but it looked good on him.
But it wasn’t that that grabbed Rhezi’s attention but his wayfarers. He looked gorgeous in it. Like a rugged model ready to march on stage. Forehead was tilted a bit because of self-confidence that seemed to make an emphasis that he could make everyone follow his orders. And, she wasn’t an exception. She only realized that she had followed him while holding arms as they were leaving his house.
They travelled along the road away from the Metro. Rhezi was carrying only her Gucci leather backpack while Kraius brought his Jansport with paperworks from Laura Moran’s case. And, to get to know Zeus Vergara as well. Nevertheless, he wanted to be with Rhezi the whole trip so he dragged her with him.
Kraius took a glimpse of Rhezi who was sitting comfortably beside him. With headphones on while moving her head sideways slowly to ride with the music and Nova chips on her lap. She was obviously enjoying the long trip. Kraius could see that clearly and he was happy because of it.
“Are we still far away?” Rhezi asked Kraius after a while. She had also gone bored listening to music on her Spotify account. She turned her cellphone off and looked outside, instead.
“Almost, Chubz,” Kraius replied to her.
It was three in the afternoon. The sky was gloomy and the wind was cold. It seemed to indicate a shower of rain. The road that they were travelling to the province of San Vicente was very quiet. Even the two of them inside were silent as well. They both felt tired from the long trip and it seemed unending for them. It had been almost five hours since they traveled but the place was still nowhere to find.
“Shit!” Kraius cursed as the car stopped from running. Rhezi jolted in surprise at his sudden cursing. Her eyebrow rose while giving Kraius a confused look. She looked outside the car and then back to Kraius.
“What happened?” Rhezi asked.
Kraius did not know what to do and to tell Rhezi. He was sure that he checked everything before they left the Metro. He had no idea at all.
No words came out of Kraius ‘mouth. He shook his head and slowly reached for Rhezi’s hand. He pressed her hand and smiled. He wanted to assure her that they were fine. He didn’t want her to be afraid and worry.
“Everything is alright, Chubz.” Kraius cupped Rhezi’s head and pulled it close to him. He kissed her temple lightly before he went out of the car.
Kraius cursed when he saw his front tire. It was flat and had a big cut. Kraius scratches his hair out of extreme frustration. He abruptly opened the driver’s seat and took his phone out. He quickly contacted the informant and acquaintance in San Vicente to ask for help.
Kraius was still on his phone talking when the rain started pouring. He cursed loudly and walked back to the car. He quickly turned off the line and tucked the device into the pocket of his shorts. Kraius took a hurried strides but even before he reached the car he saw Rhezi come out of it.
“Shit! Why did you go out? ” Kraius shouted his heart out but he only got a smile from Rhezi as a reply. They were both wet because of the heavy pouring rain with a bit of gentle wind hitting on them.
“I thought you were gone somewhere! You left me inside! ” Rhezi shouted loudly, too.
“Go back!” Kraius replied.
Rhezi shook her head. She quickly took off her denim jacket and threw it somewhere. She was soaking wet but she felt light seeing Kraius in front of her with a furrowed forehead. She knew Kraius was worried.
“This was my first time,” Rhezi confessed. She reached for Kraius’s hand as he guided him in front of the car.
The rain was still pouring heavily and the sky was dark. Kraius looked at Rhezi unbelievably as she stood in front of him smiling like there was nothing to worry about. His eyes widened when Rhezi stepped back a few meters from him and untied her hair.
Even though the raindrops covered Kraius’ face, his eyes still could not escape the slow fall of Rhezi’s hair on her face. Rhezi smiled and looked at him. She even stretched her arms and turned around like a child.
Kraius unconsciously swallowed because of Rhezi. Her laughter seemed like music to his hearing as she played in the heavy rain. Her body was wet and showing. Even her black bra was already visible to his eyes.
The sight was torture for Kraius. It was madness. Rhezi didn’t even know how she could turn his emotions. How could she change everything in him with a single gesture? She didn’t know that she could have him without effort.
“Kraius dali!” Rhezi persuaded Kraius to join her. She pulled him but she landed in his arms, instead. With widened eyes, she looked up at Kraius. “What are you doing?”
Rhezi’s eyes were innocent and clueless. Her smile faded when she stared at Kraius ‘serious face. Every touch of the raindrops on her skin may be cold, but she felt like it had suddenly disappeared. Just like before, their connection was strong. It could make the coldness of raindrops warm.
“Stop the playing,” Kraius whispered while looking at Rhezi intently. “Do you love me, Chubz?” he asked.
Kraius roamed his eyes around Rhezi’s face. His brown eyes landed on her kissable and wet lips. He abruptly changed their position and she was now leaning on the car. He held her captive while waiting for her response.
“Answer me,” Kraius demanded hoarsely.
Rhezi blinked a few times. She released a heavy sigh and looked at him. She moved her head up and down, surrendering herself once more while holding his strong arm to avoid herself from falling.
“If I love you, then what will you do?” Rhezi asked bravely.
“Then, I will make you fall hard, Chubz. So hard that you will feel that you can’t live without me. Because that’s what I am feeling right now. I was falling. We’re on the same boat, Aşkim. ”
Rhezi’s eyes widened at what Kraius had said. Although the raindrops were rapidly cascading through their bodies, her heart was beating faster than it. Her heart makes a louder sound than the noise brought by rain.
Then, he did it again. Kraius claimed her lips again, just like what he always did while Rhezi was breathless and caught off guard.
Her heart was raging, yet it was overwhelming. In the end, she gave in. Just like what she always did.
