Kraius ‘eyes widened as Rhezi’s lips touched his lips. At the same time, his heart was erratically beating. Repeatedly which seemed to be on the race. While he was holding his breath.
Kraius couldn’t believe that Chubz would kiss him. His only purpose when came to her personally was just to say that her argumentative essay was already finished.
Until to this day, Kraius still couldn’t believe that he was able to give up a nice and warm night with Shan because of the chubby girl. However, he had no regrets for the decision he made.
When Rhezi released his lips, Kraius wanted to scold himself. He wanted to chase it and kiss it again the way he wanted. Intense, hot, and passionate kind of kiss compared to the kiss she gave him. He smiled as the realization hit him. He looked foolishly at Rhezi whose face was red with embarrassment. She also stared back at him as her soft and red lips, pursed. Unintentional seduction was served to the lawyer who was seemingly cursed by the Elves in the mound.
Kraius mentally cursed when he realized what he’s thinking. He also swallowed to restrain himself from what intended to do. Rhezi’s protruded lips towards him and her eyes which is dark as the night seemed to be hypnotizing. But, he knew better. He desperately stopped himself from doing things that he would regret after. For heaven’s sake, Chubz was a minor! He might be reported to Tulfo by any chance.
“I’m sorry,” Rhezi said to Kraius. Apologetic expression was plastered on her face.
She also adjusted herself and stood up straight. Kraius creased his eyebrows. An indication that he didn’t like what he heard from her. He also placed his index finger on his jaw as if thinking. Then the expression on his handsome face became peaceful.
“You’re my girlfriend, right? ” Kraius suddenly asked.
Rhezi was surprised by his question but she forced herself not to show it. When in fact, she seemed to fall on the school ground because of Kraius’ lips that touched her lips.
“Yes, why?” Rhezi asked, confused.
“Date me,” Kraius undauntedly offered to Rhezi.
He also glanced at Rhezi’s friends who had been watching the two of them. Their eyes were full of questions and curiosity about what was happening.
“Maybe you thought I really liked your offer, hmmm. But all right, let’s go! ”
Rhezi’s seemed forced with her decision.
Kraius nodded. Rhezi’s voice lacked conviction. He knew that she was just pretending. When she spoke again, Kraius laughed softly at what she said. While Rhezi glared at him. And his soft smile turned into laughter.
“Let’s just go!” Kraius said to Rhezi, afterwards.
He quickly put his arm around Rhezi’s shoulder which caused her body to stiffen. Dejavu. Every touch of Kraius to her skin brought a strange tickle and feeling. Which causes the butterflies in her stomach to be wild. While her heart was unabashedly beating fast. No words were heard from Rhezi when Kraius led her to his car. All the eyes of the students there were on them, specifically on the handsome lawyer. Some of them looked nasty, while others were flabbergasted. Kraius just shrugged his shoulders and proceeded to his car which was parked in the wide pathway of the school.
“Why are you always the one fetching me? I have a driver! ” Rhezi growled as she finally got inside his car. She also took off her bag and placed it at her feet.
“I sent him home. Aren’t you my girlfriend? That’s why I should be the one to fetch you,” Kraius said mindlessly. His forehead furrowed as his eyes were on the girl next to him. She was already sitting in the driver seat and ready to operate the car if only Rhezi hadn’t asked.
Rhezi slapped Kraius on the shoulder. “But, it was just a joke! Are you kidding me? ” She pouted.
“Don’t pout. I might kiss you right here, right now, ” Kraius said without restraints.
His eyes were also serious. Rhezi got stunned. She immediately remembered what she had done awhile ago. She even blushed because of the embarrassing memory while adjusting herself to a comfortable position in the car seat. She also turned her gaze outside of the vehicle’s window. She didn’t even glance at Kraius who was obviously annoyed with her.
When Rhezi felt that Kraius’s car was moving, she just breathed a sigh of relief. She hated to be teased. She is still ashamed of what she did to Kraius because of the dare game started by her friends. However, there is a little joy that her heart feels because of what happened. She couldn’t quite imagine kissing Kraius just like that.
“Traffic.” Rhezi heard Kraius softly uttered.
As usual, the roads of Manila were full of various vehicles due to the traffic. It was also noisy because of horn signals everywhere. Rhezi only shook her head while looking at the long way of EDSA. Surely, the smoke coming from the exhaust of various vehicles would affect the ozone layer more badly.
“Aren’t you going to talk to me?” Kraius broke the silence between them.
“Why would I talk to you?” Rhezi asked him.
Kraius sighed and tightened his grip on the steering wheel of the vehicle he was driving. He also glanced at her who was still looking outside the window. He sighed, again. He could not explain the annoyance that was slowly growing in his heart.
“You kissed me. You have to be held accountable for me! ” Kraius exaggeratedly stated.
Rhezi immediately turned her gaze to Kraius at what he had said. Her forehead furrowed as she looked at him in disbelief. Suddenly, everything has dawned in Rhezi’s mind and her eyes widened when she realizes something.
“Seriously? Are you gay?! ” Rhezi probed drastically.
“With this handsomeness?!” Kraius replied. At the same time the young lawyer suddenly braked.
Rhezi almost collapsed in front of the car if only she hadn’t been quick to hold on there as support. She crouched in front of the car until she gradually turned her deadly gaze to the ungentle man.
“Are you going to kill me ?!” Rhezi said angrily to Kraius.
“I-I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to, ” Kraius apologized to Rhezi. She looked at her seriously while a begging look was visibly all over his face. Rhezi just sighed and nodded slowly. “I’m sorry too,” she said calmly.
Kraius nodded and maneuvered the car again. He took a last glimpse at Rhezi and sighed heavily. Rhezi looked angry at him and he admitted that it was his fault. He could not fully imagine that simply picking her up would lead to a very complicated situation. Aside from that, Kraius felt odd of himself. Just a glare and a snarl of Rhezi and he would suddenly cage his beast side.
Fortunately, they traveled fast when they had passed the long traffic at EDSA. Moments later, Rhezi saw the entrance of their mansion to Forbes. Rhezi smiled at the majestic view of their mansion. As usual, its exterior was still beautiful in her eyes.
“Thank you!” Rhezi said as she quickly unbuckled the seatbelt on her body.
Kraius raised an eyebrow at the sight of haste in her gesture. He just shook his head as he watched what she was doing. He also smiled when she couldn’t remove the car’s seatbelt. She was obviously in a hurry to avoid him.
“Here. Let me, “said Kraius. He also quickly came towards Rhezi’s side to help her with what she was doing. Because of Kraius’ intention to help, Rhezi stiffened in her seat. Kraius’s face was so close to her that it felt like they were breathing the same air. Rhezi’s heartbeat immediately became erratic, which is why she seemed to be out of breath. She was also stopped on what she was doing and just gawked at Kraius.
“W-What are you doing?” Rhezi asked sharply as Kraius didn’t even move in front of her to move aside. He remained there even after it had finished removing her seatbelt.
“I am just think–” Kraius lost his words as he shifted his gaze to Rhezi. He also swallowed a few times to calm himself to any thought. He was a lawyer but he seemed to be hypnotized by Rhezi’s lips. Suddenly the taste of her lips on him returned to him. He wanted to taste all of it again. The electricity that seemed to flow within him and the strange feeling that he seemed to be cursed by Elves in the mound when they’re closer to each other.
Kraius sighed. He doesn’t care anymore if he’s going to be reported to Tulfo after what he’s going to do. He looked at Rhezi intensely and cupped her chin. Because of Kraius’ sudden action, Rhezi’s eyes widened but no words escaped her red lips.
“Open your mouth,” Kraius ordered and Rhezi immediately obeyed.
Kraius leaned forward to Rhezi. He slowly crouched down to her lips while his eyes were still focused on the flabbergasted lady. When he finally got closer, Kraius smiled. He could feel her body stiffened but the fast beating of his heart overrides it.
Kraius knew he was in trouble, but the sight of Rhezi opening her mouth for him was tempting. It was as if he was being persuaded to do things he knew he would later regret. And it was as if his brain was drowning until he forgot what is right from wrong.
“This is the right way to kiss, Chubz,” he whispered and claimed Rhezi’s lips.
Kraius’ mind went blank when his lips finally touched hers. It was like his system suddenly shut down because of the friction their lips had made. For Kraius, Rhezi’s lips were the sweetest. Like a strawberry jam in a soft loaf. Tasty and desirable. Enticing and appetizing.
“Follow me,” Kraius ordered again and began to move his lips and savored Rhezi’s luscious lips.
Rhezi didn’t know what to do. Bewildered and shocked ate her system by what was happening but she knew very well that she was vulnerable not only to food but also to Kraius. Heaven seems to be punishing her for Kraius’s gentle kisses on her.
Rhezi’s heart was beating fast but her mind was faster in what it wanted to do. She was afraid but her urge was stronger than her confusion. So, she mimicked him. She imitated what Kraius was doing until she got used to every movement of his lips.
“I want more,” Kraius whispered in between their kisses.
He ended the kiss and looked at Rhezi’s flushed face. He smiled teasingly and winked at her.
“One more, please. . . ” Kraius pleaded to Rhezi with an undeniable happiness on his face.
Rhezi nodded quickly at Kraius’s demand. She could feel the heat on her face because of the embarrassment but she just didn’t mind it anymore. Kraius’s lips were warmer as he claimed her lips repeatedly. He held her face and looked at her.
“You’re so sweet and innocent.”
Rhezi closed her eyes as Kraius savoured her lips once more. She will let herself drown in cloud nine just this time with Kraius, and to her feelings she had for him.
