Blake
Olivia fell asleep in my arms. She was mentally exhausted.
I thought that I had made the right decision. After I left this afternoon, I was thinking of what I should do. Some part of me wanted to tell her that Taylor was her father but some part of me…refused to. Olivia would eventually know, by herself, or from me.
I made a gamble to myself.
When my head had cooled off, I decided to tell her, and the result, well, was according to my expectation. She cried but at least she knew her father’s face and should stay away from him. After all, he was the father who had abandoned her and Chloe.
I glanced at sleeping Olivia and saw tears just dropped from her closed eyelids. I wiped it with my finger and continued to look at her.
She looked adorable in her sleep and it made me smile. I rubbed her hair. “I’m sorry for not telling you soon. I was…lost. I thought you should wait a little bit longer. Maybe when you’re an adult. When your emotions are more stable. I was wrong. Cindy was right. You deserved to know. And now you do, I hope you could live with that. Taylor is not your saver, he is the villain of your story life.”
I continued to look at her and moved closer. “I won’t let anyone taking you away from me. Not Taylor, Josh, or even Stewart. No one. You are mine. My belonging to take care of,” I whispered and placed a kiss on her cheek.
Olivia moaned like she was responded with my affection. I smirked witnessing how adorable my daughter was.
“Good night, Olivia.”
And I slept while holding her.

Olivia
I lazily opened my eyes when I felt the warmness was surrounding me. It was definitely not the sun. I slightly turned back and saw Blake was holding me. Oh, God.
He was still sleeping where I just remembered what happened last night.
Blake told me that Mr. Graham was my biological father. I cried with Blake comforted me and I fell asleep.
It felt comfortable having him hugging me from behind. I felt protected and loved. I touched his hand, rubbing it a little, and placed a kiss on it. “Thank you for telling me, Blake.”
“You’re welcome,” he hoarsely said, slightly surprised me.
“When did you wake up?”
“When you’re rubbing my hand and sweetly kissing it,” he teasingly said. I rolled my eyes but I refused to argue with him. “You should say that right on my face, Olivia.” I could only smile. Did he just sulk on me? That was quite cute.
“You’re so comfortable and made me don’t want to wake up.” I smiled as he was thinking the same as me. I didn’t want to say that out loud. “I wish I could hug you for a whole day but that would be impossible.”
“You’re right. You might squeeze me to death.” Blake chuckled softly when I said that.
“It’s not like that, little one. I have something to do today. I don’t mind holding you for the rest of the day but I’m going to be busy today.”
“Got any plan?”
Blake sighed. “One of my business partners found out that I’m in Vegas and desperately wanted to see me talk about our project which is fucking pissed me off,” he annoyingly said.
“Did John tell him?”
“No. I have instructed John to never tell any of my staff and partners where I’m going and just inform them that I’m on holiday.”
“I see. Wow, that’s a bummer. But you should go.”
Blake held me rather tight. “Are you kicking me away?” he asked with his signature sulking tone.
“It’s work, Blake. And it’s important.”
“What? You got any plan for today?” he asked and that was when I was confused about what to say. I could lie but he would know eventually. And what happened when he found out by himself? Even worse than telling the truth now.
“I’m going to meet Stewart this lunch,” I confessed and even though I couldn’t see his face, Blake was pissed.
“Why the hell you have to go with him?” Okay, he started to act like the boyfriend who disliked the idea of his girlfriend hanging out with another man.
“I will be fine, Blake. We’re just going to have lunch and I’m lucky for agreeing to go with him.”
“Why is that?”
“Well, you will be out for work and I will be alone in the hotel without anything to do. By having lunch with Stewart and maybe spend time with him, time will pass more quickly,” I said.
“Where will you go?”
“Maybe Veranda because you said the foods were delicious.” This time, Blake wasn’t squeezing me again instead he let me go and sat on the edge of the bed.
I turned around when he said, “You should be going with me,” he sulked. Again. What is he? A kid?
“Come on, Blake. Don’t do that to me. You’re acting like my boyfriend now.”
“You never have one,” he countered after he turned back to me.
“But I know how boyfriends usually act when they know that their girlfriend will be meeting another man,” I countered back.
Blake lowered his eyes to the mattress and back at me again. “I’m worried, you now?”
“Stewart is a nice guy. He helped me when Karen was drunk. I couldn’t do it by myself and I was grateful Stewart was there.” Blake didn’t say anything and turned his head again. He didn’t look at me and I moved closer to him. I touched his shoulder, catching his attention once again.
Blake looked back at me and I smiled. “I will be fine, Blake. Trust me on this and if something happened, you’re only a phone call away,” I persuaded him.
He touched my hand and stared into my eyes. “Fine. You can go. But if he’s starting to do anything suspicious, you should go away from him and call me. Hide somewhere or return to this room. I will soon come back to you,” he said.
“Thank you, Blake.”
Right after, we prepared ourselves for our plan. Our unscheduled plan.
We had breakfast in our room and we walked to the front door together. “I’ll take you to the restaurant,” he said and he opened the door for me. I didn’t want to argue with him and just allowed him. After all, Blake was going to meet his partner during lunchtime as well so we could go out together.
And Blake could see Stewart’s face as well. Just in case he was going to do something suspicious to me, Blake knew Stewart’s face already. Well, hopefully, nothing bad would happen.
We headed to the lobby and I saw Stewart was there. He spotted me immediately and after waving his hand to me, Stewart walked towards me. I could feel Blake tensed right next to me.
“Hi, Olivia. Oh, it’s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Morgan,” he said.
“Hi. Um, you just arrived?”
“Yeah. Around eleven and since I couldn’t check-in to my hotel now, I put my stuff there.”
“I see.”
“So, can we go now?”
“Sure.” I turned to Blake. “Well, good luck with your meeting, Blake.”
Blake looked at me and touched my cheek. “I’ll be back soon,” he said while his finger was rubbing my cheek.
“Don’t worry about her, Mr. Morgan. I will take care of her,” Stewart said behind me. Blake looked at him and only smiled. He glanced back at me for a few seconds until he left us.
Stewart and I went to Veranda together. Taking out seats and then ordered our lunch. Blake had a great taste in food, especially the prestigious ones. I was sure the food here would be tasty.
“How did you get here?” I asked.
“By a plane. I’m not like your father who could drive these far from Los Angeles to Las Vegas.” Tell me about it. Blake was just crazy about driving a car here. “How’s your holiday so far?”
“It’s fine. It’s my first time coming here and I enjoyed it here.” Even though yesterday was a disaster.
“This city is amazing. I love coming here and doing something crazy.”
“Well, you’re already legal.”
Stewart laughed over my statement. “Say, Olivia? Do you know the famous tagline of this city?”
“No. What is it?”
“What happens in Vegas, stay in Vegas.”
“Why’s the slogan famous?”
“Well, you know that Vegas is famous for lots of things, right? Particularly the gambling and strips. People here even the tourists could do anything they wanted without having to fear that their secret would be exposed outside Vegas. Drinking until drunk, gambling until they lost their money or gained more into their bank account, and even bringing one of the strippers back to the hotel and fucked them for the entire night. Whatever they do, no one would know,” Stewart explained.
This made me remember the mob group. Perhaps they were stationed here because as Stewart said, no one would know what they were doing. Their secret was saved here. Buried deep in the city.
“So, the city is quite free of anything, then?”
“This place is perfect for celebrities to have fun. Everyone can do that because whatever they have done here, people outside Vegas wouldn’t know a damn thing. But, you’re still a minor so don’t bother yourself to try casinos. You won’t get through the front door.” I laughed at his reminder.
“I won’t do that. How long you will be here?”
“It depends.”
“On what?”
Stewart sighed. Closing his eyes and then stared back at me. “Have you thought of my confession the other day, Liv?” And I just remembered that.
I almost forgot about his confession. I was having fun with Blake and it didn’t come across my mind.
“I think you haven’t.”
“I’m sorry.”
“That’s okay. I can’t blame you especially when you’re having a holiday with your father. But if you said yes, I will stay longer. I’m thinking of staying here for about a week and if you want to spend some time with me, I will be available,” he explained.
“Can you…give me more time to think about it?”
“Sure, anything for you. I’ll be waiting, Olivia.”
At least I still had time for that. I needed to make sure about my feeling for him.
About what was the best for him…and also me.
