PROPOSAL
I never thought this moment would come in my life. The past Emily would laugh so hard if she knows that I will get a proposal like this. Ryder. I want to say ‘I love you too’ to him. I love you too, Ryder. I have strong feelings for him. I should have realized it earlier.
” You don’t need to answer right away. You can take all the time you want, Emily. I just want you to know what I feel in my heart. And I want to know how you feel about me.”
” I have feelings for you too, Ryder. Since I saw you as a boy-next-door, I can’t stop thinking about you. I want to know more about you. Once I came to know you, I can’t able to get you out of my mind and I don’t want to do that. ” I poured out my little thoughts to him instantly. I haven’t said ‘yes’ to him. But he looks happier now.
” I wish I could hear these words again and again,”
” I can do that. Well, I don’t want to involve Patrick’s name now. But no matter how much trouble he gives to me, till now I never wanted to stay away from you for it. Even my best friend blamed you for it. But I know how much hard you are trying to protect me. I can take any risk if I can be with you.” I said. I still haven’t said ‘yes’. I know something is stopping me even though I love him back.
” He won’t get near you again. I will protect you at all cost.” he kept his hands on my cheek, looked right through my eye and promised me.
” I will say the answer tomorrow at school. Is it okay?” I changed the topic towards the proposal answer.
” Yeah. I can wait for you, no matter how long it takes. Since I went to jail when I’m not guilty, I stopped trusting anyone. I do go on a date and had sex with girls in our schools but I never wanted to know them or include them in my life. But you aren’t like others who do nothing but judge me.”
” I never judge you. Many people told me to stay away from you but I never listened to them. They don’t know you well.”
” I don’t need them to know me. I only want you. A minute ago, I said I want something from you if I passed the exam. I want you to be my girlfriend if I did it. It seems like it’s not a good way of asking you. So, I proposed to you.” That’s right. He doesn’t need to do that. I would accept it even without any bet or deal.
” So, I will wait for tomorrow. Till then…”
” Kiss me already,” I made a move first before he finishes this dialogue. He didn’t hesitate for a minute. Our kiss was passionate just like every other day. I don’t want to get apart from him.
” Since my brother won’t return now, I want to take this off.” Ryder bit my lips and mentioned about my birthday dress.
” No objection,” Ryder pushed me till we hit the wall. I know he won’t take my virginity until I say it or becomes his girlfriend. Until then, he can kiss me or kiss me wherever he wants. There’s no objection in it.
Within seconds, my brand new dress is on the floor. Ryder pinned my hands on the wall and started kissing me. He planted small kisses which trials from my lips to my neck and goes down. All I did was moaning while he cupped my breast and then he kneeled. Actually, it doesn’t go this far till today.
” Don’t worry. I won’t take advantage of you. All I need is to see and kiss you unless you want more.” Ryder said. Well, now he can read my mind too. I want more but I think it can wait.
I even forgot to reply but get lost in this moment. When he kneeled, he planted soft kisses in my thigh. I have never been touched like this by anyone. That’s why I feel like I’m overreacting to every touch. I’m sure he would have done this to other girls. Here, in this situation, I’m not ready to lose my virginity. So, the only chance he got is this. This is the first time we got no one to interrupt us and it feels like the time has stopped.

” Excuse me, did you saw Pearl?” I asked Fred once I’m back to my house entrance. After that, Ryder and I stood near the balcony to watch the sky and the stars. I watched over the stars as I stayed in his arms wrapped around me. I almost stayed in Ryder’s house for an hour without knowing it.
” Pearl… That talkative girl in our class. She’s inside your house. Anyways, thanks for the party.” Fred replied as he made his way to the road. I think Fred is the last person leaving my house. If Fred’s here, why Jason’s not here. I couldn’t able to spend time with him. He must have gone home by now. The thought worried me more.
I should find Pearl now.
I got inside the hall to see everything back to normal. I know my mom got ultra-speed power to do any work. But this is way too fast.
” Sorry, mom. I couldn’t make it here to help you clean all the mess. Did you do it all by yourself?”
” No problem, darling. Your friend helped me. I hope she gets enough rest for tomorrow’s class.” she said while cleaning the plates. That’s the only unfinished work.
” You are right, mom. But, You need to rest too. Where is Pearl? She won’t go home without telling me.”
” She didn’t. I think you should check the terrace. She said she’s going to the terrace.” Why would Pearl go to the terrace when it’s almost going to be midnight? Let’s find out.
I took the stairs and walked without my torchlight or phone. I hope I won’t skip this dress and this darkness gives me a creepy feeling. I ran as fast as I can and reached the last stair. She should be here now. I will be frightened to death if I can’t find her and stand-alone in here.
My worst fear comes true. Nobody’s here or I don’t have clear eyesight to look in the darkness. Where’s the light switch? I moved my hands on the wall like a blind to find the switch. Maybe, I’m not searching it in a right place. Before I could find it, I heard a loud noise. It’s not an annoying noise, but a rocket cracker sound. I turned to find…
