Olivia
The last day of the school festival.
I went ahead this morning because I was going to circling the school to get more customers with Karen. I should be going with Blake but he was still sleeping when I was ready to go. He came home around eleven last night and he might be tired. I left a note in the dining room that I would be waiting for him in school.
“Come and visit our café! It got a lot of good food and drinks and you can choose your server!” Karen announced. I must admit that Karen was doing an excellent job and I was so lucky that she allowed me to just walk beside her while holding the board promoting our café.
“Wow, Liv. I can see that all of our potential customers are interested in us.”
“Well, that’s great. Can we go back now? I feel a little uncomfortable because most of their staring is not good at all.”
“I think we had enough. Let’s go back then.” Thank God for that.
Both of us walked back to class. “Is Blake breaking his promise again?” Karen asked.
“What? No, he’s not. Why?”
“You look rather down and I thought he broke his promise.” Did I look down so much? This time, Blake was not the case. It was something else.
“No, I’m just tired.”
“Hang in there, babe. Today is our last day and we are going to start our summer holiday soon. You didn’t forget that you are going to come to my house so we could plan for our summer holiday, right?
“I don’t, babe. I would never forget our promise,” I said as we continued heading to our class. There was a long line there.
“Oh, there you are. Come here, you two! Quick!” Nina called as we hurriedly went to her. “You two did a great job. Most of the guys want you two to be their server so you should stand by now.”
“Alrighty,” Karen replied and we entered the class, waiting for someone who wanted us to be their server.
It was another busy day. Customers were coming like mad until lunchtime. Even at that time, Blake never showed. Is he lying to me again?
No.
I calmed myself. He might be still sleeping because he was really tired or maybe he overslept. If there was another work issue again, he would let me know or John would appear again. I hoped.
Please, Blake. Just one time. Please.
“Olivia?” Karen called and I turned to her. “There is a guest outside who desperately needs your saving,” she explained while smiling. Even without I had to ask her, I knew who the person was.
A miracle just happened.
“Thank you, Karen.” I walked past her to the outside of the class. I couldn’t contain my smile of happiness again where I saw Blake was standing by leaning his back on the wall. He looked rather annoyed. Maybe some students just hit on him.
I walked to him and as he sensed my presence, he looked aside at me. “Hi.”
“Hi.”
“Did you sleep well?”
“I did. I’m sorry I overslept, Olive.”
I shook my head. “It’s okay, Blake.” Oh, God. I thought I wanted to cry. Blake rarely called me Olive. Blake rarely came to the festival. And he was here now. My father was here to see me at the school festival. Okay, calm yourself down, Olivia.
“Come on in,” I invited and he followed me to my class. “Okay, so the concept of this café is that you can choose any of the servers and he or she will serve you until you finished eating or drinking. Also, you can only order something without any ulterior motives,” I explained.
Blake smirked. “That rule is virtually impossible to be followed.” Well, I had to agree with him. Some of them were quietly telling the customers their phone numbers or even were given one.
“Oh, Mr. Morgan,” Karen appeared and walked to us. “It is a pleasure to have you here.”
“Thanks, Karen. I’m glad to be here as well,” Blake said.
“Great. Olivia is always waiting for you today,” Karen teased. I was speechless. I didn’t know what to say.
“Well, I want to visit once for a while.”
“You made the right decision today. So, which server are you going to pick for today?”
“You don’t need to ask,” Blake replied and pointed his finger to me. “I want my daughter to be my server.”
“Okay then. Olivia.” Karen turned to me and whispered, “Good luck.” I didn’t know what she meant by that but now that I had Blake with me, I couldn’t screw up and embarrassed myself in front of him.
“Follow me, please,” I escorted my father to his table. He sat on his chair and I gave him the menu book. “Do you want to take a look at the menu first or are you ready to order?”
“Well, what’s your suggestion?”
“Well, since today is the last day, we added a special menu.”
“Which is?”
“It’s where the server would cook and make a special drink to their customer.”
“Oh, really? Well then, I’ll be taking that,” Blake stated and gave the menu book back to me. I excused myself from him and went to the kitchen.
I made the drink first. Blake had been working hard so I decided to make a smoothie. Just like John. I made an avocado smoothie and went back to Blake.
“Here you go.” Blake was staring at it without any comment. Oh, boy. Did it look weird or something?
And then he smirked. “Did you made it because I love avocados?”
I smiled at him. “I guess I did.” Blake grabbed the glass and took a sip from it. I was nervous about his critic.
“It’s good.” Thank God. “I can’t wait for the food you’re going to give me.”
“I promise I will make the best one for you.” And I went back to the kitchen to prepare his lunch.
I’m so excited to make this.

Blake
While I was waiting for Olivia, I checked my phone if there were any important emails or some news from John. Yesterday, my guest-Kabir said that he wanted to try the bar in the city and I had no choice to accompany him until almost midnight. Good thing that Kabir was easy to get drunk and I could go home soon. I was so fucking tired and I didn’t even realize that I overslept this morning.
There was nothing urgent from the office so I could feel relieved a bit.
John reported that nothing happened to Olivia yesterday while she was at the festival. No men were flirting with her and everything was good.
I put my phone back in my pocket and I began to feel uncomfortable because of the gazes I received from the ladies. Both students and customers. I was hoping Olivia would return soon and if I could, I wanted her to keep me company.
“Here’s your water, sir,” someone put a glass of water on my table and when I raised my head, it was Karen.
“Thank you, Karen.”
“Your lunch will be finished soon. Olivia is trying her best for you.”
“I guess so. Thank you for letting me know.”
“Are you feel uneasy with the stares?”
“Obviously.”
“And if Olivia stays with you, will that make you feel better?” Karen asked. I didn’t know what was the meaning of her question but I hoped I could do that.
“Yeah, for sure.” And it would be better if I could take her away so no one would see her. There were too many guys here.
“Her shift will be over soon and since there are still some guests who wanted her to be their server, she couldn’t stay with you now. But after she finished all of them, you are free to take her.” I really appreciated her. She could sense my uneasiness and tried to keep me calm.
“Thank you, Karen.”
“Thank you for waiting.” Olivia appeared while bringing something on the tray. Karen left us and she put down the plate. “Here’s the Paella that I made with shrimps, chickens, and Chorizos.” It smelled delicious. As expected from my daughter’s cooking.
I grabbed the fork and took a bite. It was good as it looks. But I wondered about one thing. “Did you make the same one for the other customers as well?”
“Um, no.” When she answered me, her cheeks became red. “I, uh, I bought the ingredients this morning before I came to school just for you.” When she said that, I felt something hit me hard. Okay, not here, Blake.
I remained calm. I couldn’t let myself do something to her. Not here and definitely…not now.
“Thank you, Olive. It’s a great dish.” She smiled widely hearing my compliment. Fuck me, she’s so cute. And what the hell with her clothes?
John didn’t tell me anything about this. Her skirt was too short. Her creamy thighs were everywhere and if she leaned down a bit, everyone could see her panties. Whose idea was that?
“Blake?” she called as I blinked and looked at her. “My shift will be over soon and I want to take you around the school if you like.” That was what I was waiting for her.
“I’ll be here.” And she went off to take care of the other customers.
I hated this concept. Clearly, the one who proposed this idea wanted to get herself or himself nailed by someone outside the school or the students from different classes. And Olivia, unfortunately, got stuck in this idea.
While I was eating, I was observing her whether someone was going to do something inexcusable to her. Fortunately, until her shift was over, no one was bothering her. Who knew what I would do if I saw it right in front of my eyes?
I waited outside the class and I hoped Olivia would change her clothes fast.
“Hello there,” someone greeted and I looked aside and found a woman with brunette hair standing beside me. What the hell is she doing here?
“Cindy.” I was surprised to see her here. It’s been a few years since the last time I see her. “What are you doing here?”
“Don’t be so cold to me, I’m just interested in this school’s festival.” Yeah, right. Clearly, that was not her intention at all. “How are you doing, Blake?”
“Fine.”
“And how’s your daughter?” I didn’t like the sound of her mentioning my daughter.
“She’s fine as well.”
“And did you tell her already?” Oh, boy. Here we go again.
“Not yet.”
“Come on, Blake. That little girl deserves to know.”
“That’s none of your business and it’s my decision when I’m going to tell her.”
“You are wasting your time, Blake. She is that man’s daughter and she deserved to know.” I fucking know that. I didn’t need her to remind me of that.
“She is but not after what he had done to her and Chloe.” I hated this conversation. If I could, I wanted to forget it.
“Blake, I loved Chloe too. She was my only friend and I mourned badly when she passed away, but Olivia deserved to know about her father even though she’s not going to listen to something good about him.” How was I supposed to tell her the truth about her father? Even me, just talking or even thinking about him made me wanted to puke.
“Blake?” I heard Olivia’s voice and she was already changed into her usual clothes. She was looking at me first before her brown eyes set on Cindy. She walked slowly to me, looking so nervous. She was hesitant about what to do.
“You’re not going to introduce us, Blake?” Cindy asked. I didn’t want to but I couldn’t argue with her anymore.
I went to Olivia’s side. “Olivia, this is Cindy Graham, my little sister.” I looked aside and Olivia’s eyes were open wide. Her mouth was open. Man, how I want to stick my tongue inside and savage her mouth.
“Oh, it is a pleasure to meet you,” Olivia said and both of them shook hands.
“Pleasure is mine as well, Olivia. I’m really happy to finally meet you.”
“I’m really…shocked. Blake never told me anything about his family,” Olivia said.
“Well, maybe because he doesn’t know where to start to explain about his family,” Cindy explained while looking at me.
“Um, but why is your surname is different from Blake?”
“I’m getting married, sweetheart. Well, still engaged though, but I like the name, so…” She likes it. But not for me.
“Well then, I’m really happy to meet you, Olivia. I’m going to take a look around the school. It’s nice to meet you too after a long time, Blake. If I have time, I will come and visit you two.”
“Oh, please do so. We will be glad to have you visiting our house. Right, Blake?” Please don’t.
“You’re so sweet, Olivia. Well, I’ll be seeing you two again,” Cindy parted with us. Leaving me alone with my daughter.
“Wow, your sister is so pretty. No wonder she’s your sister.” I didn’t want to talk more about Cindy as I changed the subject.
“Are you done?”
“Yeah.”
“Can we go now?”
“Sure.” I walked ahead with Olivia following me from behind. With my head was busy thinking of what Cindy would be doing.
For God’s sake, Cindy. Don’t do anything crazy here.
