Kathy Clark was about to say something else when she noticed him turn and walk away.
I took three pairs of chopsticks and remained silent. I sat on one side of the table and ate quietly.
Kathy Clark, sitting across from Ryan Campbell, smiles with red eyes and adds, “I haven’t eaten Mr. Campbell’s food in a long time, and it’s still so great.”
Ryan Campbell remained silent. “Eat fast. Your agent should arrive shortly.”
“You just want to kick me out so you can live alone with your sister, don’t you?” Kathy Clark pouted.
“Oo-” I instantly covered my mouth to retch, then sprang up and raced to the toilet.
Ryan Campbell rose and followed, but Kathy Clark became pale and grabbed Ryan Campbell, asking, “Is my sister pregnant?”
He simply said “huh” and soon followed me.
Kathy Clark sat in her seat, slightly surprised. She could definitely sense Ryan Campbell’s shift in attitude toward her. All of this was her fault, but I didn’t expect her to become pregnant so quickly…
I crouched down by the toilet and vomited profusely. All of the afternoon snacks I ate would be vomited. Ryan Campbell simply stood behind me, frowning, and gently massaged my back, asking, “Are you better?”
I stood up, flushed the toilet, and went to the washstand to rinse my lips. “I don’t want to eat,” I murmured, frowning.
“Take a rest first, and go to the hospital if you feel uncomfortable,” Ryan Campbell said as he helped me sit down on the sofa.
“No, just have a seat. Go ahead and eat yours.”
“Going to the hospital is pointless. You must wait until these days are over.”
I just smiled, but I was concerned that Kathy Clark was pregnant. Is there going to be turmoil in the future?
Kathy Clark simply followed the agent this time as he arrived.
Ryan Campbell entered the house and cleaned the dishes himself. He wouldn’t let me do these tiny things because I was pregnant.
Unlike the old house, this one is not overrun with servants. He used to stay at home for a few days and take care of everything himself. So I’m not in too much danger right now.
I felt bad for him, so I went to the kitchen to help him clean up “You’ eat those sloppy snacks again. It’s possible that your son dislikes it, causing you to puke.”
I remained silent.
“We decided at the start that our relationship would last just until you found a true wife. You must discover her immediately.” Finally, I tentatively added, “What about Kathy Clark? She is stunning and a rising star. She is an excellent match for you.”
He also stated, without hesitation, “Anyone who walks and stands alongside me is worthy of me, and you are no exception. You should be good before I find a new wife.”
Will I be his wife all the time if he doesn’t look for it his entire life?
Ryan’s POV
She must have tried everything to please me in this scenario. She was desperate to find a way to get rid of me. She was still pregnant with my child, but she wanted to know when I was going to find a new wife.
Irene’s pov
Because of the agony of Pregnancy sickness, I lost weight in a matter of days.
Ryan Campbell now cooks regardless of nutrition . I can prepare whatever I want, but whatever I eat makes me puke.
He has no expertise in this field and, after consulting his mother, he bought sour plum in person.
He drove straight to her workplace after purchasing it. When she called, it was noon, and she was still packing in the store.
Knowing Ryan Campbell would be at the door, I quickly examined the window sill. Fortunately, he wasn’t driving the flashy Rolls Royce, but a more mundane Land Rover. “Wait across the street; I’ll be right down there.”
I’m like a criminal, terrified of being discovered by my coworkers as knowing Ryan Campbell.
His car was stopped on the side of the road as I got downstairs. I took a quick look around, opened the door, and sat down. “Why did you come to my workplace?” I said anxiously as I opened my mouth.
Ryan Campbell fixed his gaze on me. “Does the agreement state that I am not permitted to attend?”
I noticed he didn’t go in directly, so I said, “What’s the matter?”
Ryan Campbell stretched out and took the tiny bag next to him. “This is a plum, and it may help with your pregnancy sickness.”
I had a look at it, but I didn’t expect him to consider these things. I didn’t give a damn about it. I just thought it would be fine to get through the next two months. Besides, I worked in a convenience shop, and there were many plumes, yet he was so considerate.
“I appreciate it.”
Ryan Campbell believes that he has not been idle these days in exchange for my “thank you.”
“what you had for lunch?”
I ate one while bowing my head. I mumbled, “I haven’t yet eaten it. I’m not going to eat it. I snacked on some cookies.”
“If you want something to eat, call me and I’ll get it for you.”
“No, I’ll pay for it myself.”
He sighed with relief “Can’t you just let go of this work first? Take some time to relax.”
I want to, yet I’m afraid to let go. I don’t have a lot of time. I’d like to save more money.
“I’m OK. When I’m at home alone, I get bored. It’s not worn out to work here.”
He started the car , and whether I agreed or not, he continued, “Go to my office and sleep for a while, and I’ll send you back to work in the afternoon.”
The car proceeded right to his firm without giving me the opportunity to decline.
He parked his car in the underground garage and proceeded from the first floor to the floor where his office is located.
I’m pretty tired now, and I’ve been wishing for such a bed during my lunch break.
