EPISODE 34 – NOT KIDDING

Book:MOMMAS BOY (ENGLISH VERSION) Published:2024-5-1

CHARI’S POV
Clint isn’t joking.
He came to the house. At four o’clock in the afternoon, Clyde and he arrived. They have food and other snacks with them already. Clyde escorted him upstairs when he arrived. When they went down from his room, the two of them were both wearing their swimwear. Clint was also dressed in slippers. Clyde most likely left his favorite Sir Clint’s items there without asking for my permission. I didn’t go with them. Clint also did not look for me anyway.
“Seems our child is having fun now!” Nanay Mira, who was standing behind me, exclaimed.
Nanay Mira. She has been with me from the beginning of my pregnancy until now. When I was alone and going through a difficult time, she took care of me and became my mother. My secret was known to her and Ingrid from the very beginning.
“Does he know?” she asked.
“I can’t, Mom, and I don’t want to,” I said.
Clint was staring at us when I noticed him. We were on the balcony directly across from the pool, where Clyde and he were repairing the large inflatable pool bed.
“The father is good. You were caught right away. It’s different when you’re connected, even if you haven’t seen it yet. ” Nanay Mira reflected thoughtfully. “Don’t give the child a reason to be angry with you, Chari; tell him while he’s still happy,” she continued.
“Clyde and I are fine. I think it’s fine that he discovered he had a child with me. ” I replied.
“Father won’t let you, I’m sure, Chari. It’s destiny to make a way for you to meet again, and they meet each other through a passion they have in common. ” Nanay Mira said again. I saw that she was still smiling while watching the two below.
“But Nanay, we know he has a family in Manila.”
“Don’t hurt yourself, Chari. You know how hard you went through when you let go, that until now has been stamped on your son,” she said seriously.
“But, Nanay Mira…”
“Think carefully, Chari. Think of Clyde first and not of yourself. The father is present and ready to do anything for his son. I can tell you,” she just looked at me and then left.
I was watching the two as they worked on the grill.
Clyde was proud; his smile could not be erased, and he laughed so hard that I saw him hugging Clint while joking.
Clint is smart. I’m not sure how he got Clyde’s heart right away, or how he made me let him come here and bond with him at that instant. Nanay Mira is right. He caught me right away. When he first saw me, he knew right away that Clyde was his son, and I knew that what they did yesterday was DNA testing on Clyde. He was aware that his feelings were true, so perhaps he did it to ensure that I couldn’t refuse or couldn’t even hide Clyde from him anymore.
Shortly..
“Psst! Psst!”
When I looked, I saw Clint looking up at me.
“Come down here, let’s go swimming!” He said. “Why just stand there? Come down here!” He demanded.
“Could you please, Sir Clint?” I asked. “You came here for a night of swimming with Clyde, not with me, so don’t bother me,” he replied.
He chuckled. “Ma’am, can I sleep here?” He teased me.
“Sir Clint, you’re such a jerk!” I smirked as I told him.
“I’ll ask Clyde for permission. We’ll sleep in his room.” He said again and winked.
“Really?” Sarcastically, I replied.
“Do I seem to be joking? Hmn? Chari?” He teased again.
I simply raised an eyebrow at him before exiting the terrace.
IT’S SEVEN in the evening…
I just came back from the coffee shop. There are a lot of people today because it’s Friday.
From the room, I could hear Clyde and him laughing. I could also smell the chicken they were grilling. With the loud noise of the two, I approached the window where I could stare at them. I saw Clint with no shirt on. The size of his Samurai Character tattoo on the entire back, which connects to his full sleeve tattoo on the arm, is really big. It was so big that his arms as well as his chest were already full. He still has the same sexy body as before. Fit and just right! I can’t help but admire him again.
“Watch this, Clyde,” Clint says. He ran and did a backflip twice before falling into the pool first after walking some distance away from it.
“Wow! Sir Clint, you are fantastic! Hahaha!” Clyde exclaimed as he applauded. I could tell he admired Clint for what he did.
“Don’t do that! That’s backflip suicide!” Clint exclaimed.
That was one of the moves he used to win dance battles. When it comes to breakdancing, he hasn’t faded yet.
He turned around when he noticed me peering out the window.
“It’s in the water, so falling doesn’t hurt too much! When you’re on the ground, however, it can be dangerous if you don’t know how to position your body. You have to figure everything out,” he said to Clyde, keeping an eye on me.
And now they are doing a tutorial. You can’t stop Clint from talking when it comes to dancing. It’s also a good thing for Clyde because he loves to listen when it comes to dance lessons. He never gets tired. I can tell that they really have these kinds of connections-a father and son sharing the same interests.
“I’ve already done that, Sir Clint!” said Clyde.
“Ha? Really? ” Clint smiled, amazed.
“Yes! In the field, Mom did pay for the planting because I fell on the dam and damaged all the seedlings! Hahaha! ” Clyde laughed out loud, thumping his feet on the ground.
“Really? We’re the same! Ahaha! ” Clint laughed as well. “My mother always paid for my damages when I was just starting. Haha! And I always get her in trouble!”
I smiled at what he said. I thought about his troubles back then. We also went through a lot of people’s anger with his breakdancing practice when he was just starting. I even had an argument with some of his friends’ parents because of that.
When Clint came out of the pool, I saw even more how beautiful his body was now. His size changed over those few years. I bet more girls are going crazy over him now.
I saw him look out my window again before sitting down by the poolside. I knew he could see me from below because I was just standing at the side and the mirror was just covered by a thin curtain, so it was obvious that someone was there.
“Sir, wait a minute, I’m just going to the bathroom!” Clyde said while running inside.
When Clint was left alone, I saw him peek out of my window before lying down by the poolside, facing my direction.
“Ma’am, I can see you!” he said.
I didn’t say a word, even though I knew what he was saying.
And again…
“Ma’am, can I go up there? In your room?”
I was about to answer, but suddenly Clyde came.
“Sir, let’s eat!” he said.
“Ah, sure, Clyde, change your clothes first so you don’t get cold.”
I saw Clint stand up. He took the towel and t-shirt.
“Wipe and change first. You might get asthma again.” He said while wiping Clyde’s long hair.
“Thank you, Sir Clint. I bet you’re a good father to your son, he’s so lucky to have you,” said Clyde.
Clint stopped what he was doing when he heard what Clyde said.
“Do you want me to be your dad? Clyde?” he said.
“Ahahaa! Your son might be mad at me, Sir Clint! He will be jealous!”
I saw Clint stare at Clyde. I’m in a hurry! I already know what he will say next.
I shouted from the window where I stood. “Clyde!”
The two looked at me at the same time.
“Eat and finish that! You can’t be soaked for long!” I shouted.
Clint and I stared at each other, and I saw that he just shook his head while frowning at me.
“Hmph! I won’t let you do what you want, Clint! ” I whispered.
I don’t want to end their happy moments, but I need to, because I noticed that Clint was just taking the time to tell Clyde everything about him.
“It’s too late! Tell your visitor to go home!” I shouted again.
Clint sighed, making a pissed face. While I; just give him a bitter look and a witchy-half smile.
