“Don’t tell me you still have some more clothes to pack?” he asked her but she was already rushing to go upstairs quickly.
“I wouldn’t be long, I promise” she shouts and he heard a door opening then after some minutes it closes back with her rushing down the stairs quickly.
“Be careful and don’t fall” he told her.
She didn’t fall and came to stand in front of him with a smile on her face then held her coat she went to fetch minutes ago and her bag.
“Aww… you care so much about me,” she said then poked his chest and he scoffed.
“I warned you because I wouldn’t help you up rather I would laugh at your clumsiness” he shrugged, her mouth dropped open and the smile was replaced with a frown.
“You are mean” she walked angrily away from him.
“Thanks?” he followed behind her and closed the door when they were outside.
“Jerk” she muttered but made sure it was loud enough for him to hear before strolling to the car.
“Hold up, hold up” he went to grab her wrist and turned her to look at him.
“What?”
“What have I told you about using abusive words at me?” he raised an eyebrow and she let out a short laugh.
“Abusive words? You insult me whenever you get the chance to” she accused.
“When?”
“When you compliment me an insult follows,” she said and he released her wrist from his hold and touched his jaw in thought.
“I know I do complement your fine self,” he said and she not knowing what to do with him groaned inwardly and walked to the other side of the car so she could enter.
“Open this car and let us go before I change my mind”
He chuckled and opened the car with the remote then he put the luggage in the back of the car and went to the driver’s seat so they could start their journey to the airport.
“Maybe you could call me daddy, this marriage would be sweater that way” he started the car and caught her rolling her eyes before looking out of the window.
‘This would be fun’ he thought.

“Already found out what was lacking in your company?” he asked after a moment of looking at her.
“Want to get the marriage done in time?” she asked him and he chuckled then adjusted on his seat before picking her hand up and placing a kiss at the back of her hand.
Her heart warmed at that small gesture and she bow her head to hide her flushing cheeks. She totally ignored how annoyed she was by him before they got to the airport and he was now making her blush.
‘What he does to me…’ she trailed.
“I don’t think that would be happening at all,” he said then placed another kiss but he landed it on her palms instead.
She looked up at him when she heard him say that and ignored the fact that she was trying to hide her flushing face from his preying gaze.
“Huh…” was what managed to get out of her lips.
He smiled and looked at her palm which he was extending kisses to them a little furrow formed on his brows.
“I think this would be long term… we might be staying longer than I ever thought” he paused to look into her eyes and again she couldn’t help but blush as his eyes lingers on her face and how close they were.
“Even though I don’t approve,” he said and bite his bottom lip to stifle the laughter that threatened to burst out of his mouth due to the glare she threw at him.
“Just kidding but… I don’t know, let it just flow and we will see how far we can get in this because we are stuck with each other” he placed one last kiss on her palm and she rolled her eyes then looked at her side of the window.
The plane would take off soon and it still gives her that same excitement over and over again. She could even feel butterflies in her stomach. Could be the excitement of being in the air again but in a metal bird or just the gentle kisses, he placed on her palm.
Then she turned to him and was startled that he was still looking at her in that same position and it made her wonder if he was going to have a strain in his neck later today.
“It’s more like I am stuck with you,” she told him and he chuckled then leaned forward to place a kiss on her nose and on her cheek then relaxed back on his chair before entwining their fingers together.
She smiled and relaxed back on her chair too then thought that this isn’t a bad idea as she thought. Maybe Sofia is right and she should just let it flow and hope for the best.
“Think of this more as our honeymoon but with more honey,” he said after some time and she looked at him with a full grin then he winked at her thereby making the blush more prominent on her cheeks.

They got out of the plane and through checking in the airport before heading outside for the cab that was awaiting their arrival.
She was all ‘wow’ and ‘that is amazing’ as she looked out of her window and saw some great things pleasing to the eyes. Then she wondered why she always declined to go to trips or vacations and would sometimes tag them as boring or that sort, except for when Sofia would make her do so.
The taxi finally reached the hotel they would be staying and they both got out and made their way into the building then into the elevator.
They stood side by side with their hands entwined together as they wait for the elevator to reach their floor.
“I haven’t actually been to Madrid before but I came to Canary Island some years back”
“Where?”
“Santa Cruz de Tenerite” she replied.
“I will make this your first and probably best visit here,” he told her and she shook her head then looked around the golden walls of the elevator and smiled.
He wouldn’t spoil anything for her so she would just ignore him if he starts acting up.
“This is amazing” she commented.
“Yeah, it is” he replied dryly and she frowned a bit.
“Are you going to be mean to me?” she asked him and he looked down at her and thought for a moment.
“Only if you run your mouth”
“I don’t run my mouth when you aren’t mean to me so it is totally up to you”
“Can we not start right now? I want us to enjoy this lovely vacation together and you know to be more closer as friends and then again with all that happened these past days, it has been hectic and draining so we need this to stay sane” he told her and she nod her head.
Just then the elevator stopped then opened to their floor and they got out still holding hands.
They were able to locate their room and used the key card to get inside with their luggage.
He went to sit on the bed before laying down and closing his eyes.
“It wouldn’t last though,” he said after a moment.
“What wouldn’t last?” she asked going to sit on the bed.
He sat up quickly which startle her a bit then moved closer to her and looked deep into her brown eyes.
“I don’t know, but I do think it wouldn’t last” he whispered leaning closer to her face but his mission was terminated by the ringing of the bell.
“I will get it” she stood up to answer the door while he went back to laying on the bed and saw two-room servers standing outside the door.
She made way for them to come into the room with a rolling table and food decorated on top.
“Thank you so much” she thanked and they nod before leaving.
She pushed the table to the bed and he sat up as he eyed what was on the table as rubbed his palms together.
“Hungry?” she sat beside him
“Always” he unbuttoned his shirt and pushed the table closer to the bed before dishing out food for them both.
“Cheers to a start all-over friendship that doesn’t involve you running your mouth” he held out a chicken to make the toast.
She grabbed two chicken wings and bump them with his.
“Cheers to a start all-over friendship that doesn’t involve you being rude, self-absorbed, irritating, or annoying” she smiled and he grinned.
“I guess we are even then,” he said and they took their first bite from the chicken at the same time.
“Yup, we are” she agreed and they continued eating and chatting and when he would make a snarky comment, she will throw food at him to which he reciprocates.
