“What are you doing here? You were supposed to keep an eye on her” Daniella spat angrily and walked out of his little office as he stood up from his chair to follow behind her.
“What is your problem woman? She is tied and can hardly lift a finger so I doubt she would think about escaping and especially in a place she isn’t familiar with”
“You can’t underestimate the power of a woman” she replied to him.
“Or you mean a ‘crazy woman’? you are a crazy girl” he told her and she threw him a glare which he brushed off.
“When would I stop babysitting her? I miss going out and enjoying myself and not being trapped here with a psychopath’s victim.
“I am not crazy” she defends and he chuckled.
“Yeah, you are not,” he said sarcastically with a roll of his eyes.
She stopped in front of the door and turned to him with a smile already gracing her face.
“I think now is the time for me to decide what her fate would be and how she would be treated,” she told him excitedly and he just shakes his head at how she was behaving.
“Let your thinking be quick, I need to go out and breath some clear air in which axis you aren’t in,” he said which made her roll her eyes.
“Do you have something you are hiding from me?” she glared at him and raised a brow.
He frowned when she started getting all defensive and suspicious.
“Do you think I am hiding something?” he asked matching her glare and also raising a brow.
“I feel that something is up and when I find out what it is and you seem to be the main enemy for me then I would have to do the needful and get you off my way,” she told him threateningly.
“We both know who has the upper hand between us darling,” he said back at her and she could feel the steam come out of her nose, ears and the heat rising to her cheeks because she very well know he was right and it provokes her every single time she is being reminded.
“Do you have to belittle me whenever you get the chance?” she asked with irritation.
“You always give me a chance to do so darling” he smiled and she could feel the tears gather in her eyes, just like old-time when it was so unbearable for her as a little girl.
“You are ju-” she was interrupted by the ringing of a phone and it made her feel more irritated than she was earlier.
“Can you just pick up your damn call, it is annoying” she hissed and he rolled his eyes at her.
“It’s your phone, woman,” he said and she frowned then checked her purse to see who was calling.
The frown on her face deepened when she saw the caller.
“Hmm… what does the kid want now?” he asked when he took a peek at the caller that shut her up.
She hid the phone from his view and scowled at him for prying on her affairs.
“I thought I have made it clear that what concerns me should be none of your business?” she asked spitefully.
He just rolled his eyes at her unnecessary anger and moved to the door so he could open it wide enough to enter.
“If only you can leave this dude that has no reference nor regard for you and focus on the one that has been by your doorstep every time even though you mistreat him and he is aware of how crazy and delusional you are, we wouldn’t even be here,” he said to her.
She let out an unpleasing sound to show her irritation at what he had been telling her about him.
“I know what I want and I will go for what I want. Nobody will stop me” she turned to the door and took a step in as she looked at the weak-looking Audriana whose eyes were slightly opened.
“Even if it meant taking out an obstacle,” she said with venom lacing her voice as she kept looking at Audriana.
Her stare was cut short when her phone rang again and she had no other choice than to answer so the said person could leave her alone.
“What do yo-” she was cut off by what the man at the other end said to her. Her eyes slightly went larger for some seconds before going back to their normal size.
She turned to Sawyer, disconnected the call, put her phone in her bag, and walked up to him shakily.
He noticed but decided against mentioning it to her or asking what the problem was because he knew what would follow when he does ask her.
“You leaving already?” he asked and she just looked at him then turned away from him so she could look at the woman that she had tied to the chair for days and who looked like she wasn’t taken care of.
Which in fact was true but there was something that had to be done and even if she tried to stop it, it would be done and she was definitely going to be at the receiving end. That was the last thing on her mind right now so she had to just let some things go and make some other plan.
A scowl made itself to her and she turned to leave as she said something under her breath which he was unable to grasp but just let her walk out on him and away from this place.
He shook his head and closed the door then was about to leave to his room when he heard her say something like ‘You better leave now!’ before hearing car engine being brought to life and the tires sounding against the gravel floor as it leaves the premises.
He didn’t understand why she said such to him in that tone and why she was acting strange.
She might seem like the one to be strong and like someone who doesn’t take orders from anyone rather barks them to people and expect perfection from her employees even though she could be a villain to them, which she is but there is just one person he was aware that could bring all that down.
Someone she orders around to but someone whose words sometimes shake her up and keep her mute and at the place when she is a raging bull.
“I hate moving… I just hate it. All I asked for was to just enjoy myself and this is what I get” he muttered then went to pack up the important things he would need before leaving the place for good.
He didn’t care about Audriana in any way and just left. If she wanted her, she would come back for her or if she wants her to die of starvation and dehydration then he couldn’t care less.
She was her package and he did his job aside from the part where he didn’t bring her any food because he was awaiting her arrival but now that she didn’t do much then tell him to leave, he was going to do just that and not look back.

She felt so weak and tired from not being attended to and just staying in one place… tied.
She couldn’t feel her legs for real and her fingers didn’t seem like it was working anymore. Her stomach grumbled so many times due to how hungry she had gotten but couldn’t voice it out because she had grown weak over the days she was here.
Telling what day it was and how long she had been here was impossible because she lost track and it feels like she had been there for days or even weeks.
“I wouldn’t bring him food again,” she said like as if she was praying and confessing at the same time.
Her stomach grumbled and she felt the sudden urge to throw up again… on an empty stomach? She wasn’t having it at all and needed to save up strength till she is rescued since these people had no plans on feeding her soon.
‘I just want to be out of her soon’ she said in her mind before closing her eyes to allow the darkness to overtake her.

After he went over to Aiden’s house the previous night to see what they were able to gather and know where they could check to find anything concerning her, they both went out to get something to eat since they weren’t feeling the knack to cook.
He stayed over at Aiden’s place and could get little or no sleep. He was super grateful for the kind of friend Aiden was.
While he called everyone and assured them that she would be found soon, Aiden was there to tell him not to overwork himself and relax because she was fine wherever she was and would be coming home to them soon.
He tried his best to believe them and just kept a quiet mind sometimes to say a prayer on her behalf.
“Everything would be okay,” he would tell him and after he appreciated him for being there for him he would get a reply like
“Oh no, don’t thank me. I just don’t want a sick man on my tail” and he would smile. At least he has someone to annoy him for a while.
They had tried contacting Daniella but was futile. She left a voicemail that says ‘Hello and thanks for calling, I am not available at the moment and would get back as soon as I can’
Dimitri suspects her but doesn’t want to come to a conclusion yet since he had little or no evidence to prove her guilty. He knows her to be crazy from the last time they met and wonders what made him fall in love with her in the first place.
….… “Daniella look, don’t do this. You aren’t in your right mind” ….…
Flashes from what happened years ago went through his mind and he shook his head to shake them off but they kept on playing.
….…”I will have only you and no one else would take my place in your life” she spat.
He moved a careful step towards her with his arms out to her so she doesn’t do what he know she is about to do.
“Baby, it’s okay. You are the only woman that I love, the only woman in my heart, my world even. Just please come to me and don’t do this to us” he pleaded with her as she holds the baby in her hand
She let out loud laughter and shook her head then looked down at the high-rise building then back at him before ….…
He sat up in a flash with his heart racing so fast and his body covered in beads of sweat.
What the heck was that? He asked himself as he looked around the familiar living room before relaxing and resting his back on the chair again.
It was yet another of the memories that haunt him till this date, memories that make it so hard for him to let go and totally move on from that trauma, memories that make him blame himself for what happened and every single time and that reminds him he didn’t deserve better.
“I am really sorry Audriana” he muttered under his breath and stood up to get himself a glass of water.
Just as he was taking his second glass, his phone rang and he froze.
